Ahhhh, there’s nothing quite like spending a few days tent camping in freezing cold, drizzly weather. Spent a couple of days camping at Trevor Reese-Jones Boy Scout camp and while I love camping, can’t say the same about the weather! But if you’re going to have to camp outdoors, you can’t beat this place for the sheer beauty of the placid lake and beautiful east Texas trees. This place is very well tended with clean restroom and shower facilities and the campsites are pristine. If you’re lucky, you may wake up to geese flying across the water as your morning alarm clock. If you’re not so lucky, you may be up for hours listening to rowdy boy scouts settling down for the evening!

There for a Boy Scout camp out, and we had a wonderful time. Some of the restroom facilities could have used a bit of upkeep, but some of them were super nice. The campsite itself was well maintained, and the boys and parents had a blast. I look forward to getting back there.
