Impossible to get your records in or out of the office. Service is poor — only can speak with nurse.

I see a trend in these reviews! All one star, all crappy patient treatment. I figure I’ll share my anecdote.
Went in last week so they would refill my prescriptions to keep my skin clear. It was a fine visit, quick and easy. However — I let them know I was leaving town for the summer so I just preferred a paper prescription and not for them to call it in. I get home to Maryland and the prescription can’t be filled because I’m not eligible for a «refill.» But I didn’t fill the prescription in the first place!
I called their office and asked if they sent the prescription out. First of all, I call and they transfer me to the nurses station where nobody answers. So I call back and the receptionist says «did you leave a message?» No– I’m calling while you’re open so I can speak to a human. She transfers me again. The nurse assures me they did not submit the prescription just like I asked. I say they had to have. She starts to get rude and holier than thou. So I call around to the pharmacies in Georgia finally finding out — YEP they submitted my prescription. I wouldn’t have cared if she wasn’t so rude about it and they just owned their mistake. Instead I had to spend my time calling around to pharmacies I’ve used. How you treat your patients matters. Guarantee I won’t be back. Don’t go here!!!

My husband and I both made appointments to see Dr. Chastain. We both went in for appointments neither one of us met her. We were seen by her assistant. My husband has serious skin issues and Dr. Chastain didn’t even show up for the appointment.
Couple of his biopsies came back positive and he was told he would need additional dermatological surgery. The office told him they would get back with him to schedule this. We never heard back from them. So after several days we called them back. We were leaving and several weeks and they could not schedule the surgery prior to us leaving so they said they would call around to some other dermatologist to see if they could help us schedule something. They told us they would be back in touch. It’s been several weeks now and we’ve never heard a word.
Dr. Chastain’s office can definitely remove both of us from her patient list because we won’t be returning!
I’m sad to say this is not a very professional office and it’s certainly not patient or customer centered.

I have been to Dr. Chastain’s office once and I will not return. I had lab work done and was told they would get back to me within a few days. I was planning to leave the country soon and was reassured my medicine would be available before then. When the next week approached, I called to find my results, and was transferred to three different voicemails. None of them returned my call, even though the answering machine guaranteed they would call on the next business day. The woman answering the phone was very impatient with me, even as I explained I was leaving the country within the next day and had been told my medicine would be available beforehand. After calling again, they said they had my results and would call me that day. If you call a second time, expect the receptionist to be incredibly impatient and rushed to get you off the phone. I never received a call before I left for my trip. It was impossible to get a real nurse on the phone who genuinely wanted to help. Also, I was very concerned about my biopsy results, as it could be serious, but the nurses did not share the same concern for me in any capacity or a willingness to help. They have no regard for patient well-​being. While Dr. Chastain is great, she has a HORRIBLE team and for that reason I would not recommend this office.

My insurance was charged $ 300 for a test that should have been simple test conducted in-​office. (As has been my previous experience at other dermatologist’s offices.) Instead the skin sample was sent to a skin cancer specialist in Atlanta. And I discovered that Dr. Chastain’s brother works at said skin cancer office. Shady and unethical. When I called the office, I was told I would get a call back. I’m still waiting on that call.

I came here for the first time 2 weeks ago. The doctor is fine, nothing wrong with her. BUT I was prescribed medicine and it was never called in to the pharmacy. I called the next week, left multiple messages, talked to multiple nurses/​receptionists and still, a week and half later I was without medicine. I eventually had to drive to the office and ask them in person where they very rudely told me that they would call it in. The office is very disorganized and is enough for me to find a new doctor. Not worth the trouble.
