Bischero no longer exists. There’s a place called 237 Prince Woodfire Grille in its place. I hear the menu selection is pretty similar.

Bischero is as close as it gets to authentic Italian in Athens. They have several pasta dishes and an impressive list of gourmet pizzas. Very good wine list from what I recall too. I was impressed with the quality of every dish I got there, but I never really seemed to love any of it. I mean I could tell that it was good food, just nothing on the menu ever really spoke to me. I guess the chef and I were just not culinarily compatible or something. Given the above conundrum, I was never terribly excited about going to Bischero and the prices didn’t make me feel any better about it… Until I discovered Monday nights. They have a buy 1 get 1 free pizza and pasta special. Yeah, that will definitely help a pricey menu out. From there on out, I had much less trouble dragging myself to Bischero to satisfy my boyfriend’s Carbonara cravings. Also, for the record, I’m pretty sure they have a half price bottle of wine night as well. Hm, expensive, but good food that I, in spite of myself, don’t enjoy = 3 stars and sweet weeknight specials makes that 4 stars.
