Beef ‘O’ Brady’s

Just finished eating here w/​my boo and we have difference of opinions on this restaurant. I liked it, he on the other hand, not so much. My reasons for the 4 stars was the overall experience: service, food, atmosphere… check! Although I only had the Chicken Ceasar salad, and it wasn’t the best, that doesn’t make me give it less than 4 stars. Our waitress was very attentive and service was prompt and their health score is a 95!!! Yaaay!!! Highly Recommended!

I’ve been coming here for the past five years to play Monday Night Trivia. Honestly, I would have never picked out this place to eat except for trivia (I’m not a huge fan of chain restaurants) but I’ve grown to love the place and have to recommend it.
Trivia itself is great; though it’s changed hands a number of times over the years, it remains challenging and fun. The service is almost always good (especially in the past two years) and the staff is fantastic (especially Nikki!). The atmosphere is your typical bar-​and-​grill, with lots of booths and more TVs than any other place in Athens (I think). Basically, if a sports game is on that you want to see and you can’t find a bar that will show it (for instance, if you want to watch a non-​UGA SEC game that happens to come on at the same time…) go to Beef’s. It will be on a TV, or they will put it on one for you.
Some of the food is your typical greasy restaurant food, but in my time here I’ve found some favorites. I like their grilled chicken and steak wraps, sans cole slaw and with double curly fries instead (they’re perfectly seasoned and always crispy). I also like the appetizers (especially the quesadilla and onion rings), and the wings are great for the price. Lots of flavors, which is nice given the few places in town that have wings. They also occasionally have seasonal specials (like the burgers that are going on now) which are pretty good.
Yes, it’s a chain. Yes, it’s hard to eat healthy here. But, do you really go to a sports bar and grill to eat a salad? You shouldn’t, if you said yes. Check it out as a place to watch the game or come to trivia if you haven’t found a place you like yet.

Food is Awesome and has a great atmosphere

I really like Beef O Brady’s and especially their fish n chips. So today I went to have it for lunch. About two weeks ago I went for this same dish and it was great! Today, though on a couple of the pieces the ends were too tough to bite or cut through with a fork and it was too greasy. It’s my favorite dish there so maybe it was just an off day. Usually I would give it five stars!
