I’ve been here several times. The owners are incredibly nice and very knowledgable about their beads. I love that they actually travel the world and purchase each lot of beads themselves. 5 stars!

I have only visited one other bead store, so i don’t have much comparison, but this one is my favorite of the two. the beads and charms in the store are very reasonably priced. there’s all sorts of interesting things to make cool jewelry with, and they show you how to make anything you’d like and have all of the tools to do it. i made a beautiful necklace and i will definitely be coming back here again!

Ohh this place. I love this place. I would visit every week if I lived in Athens still. Great combination of ambiance, selection, friendly owners, and good location. It’s like a little treasure trove of beads everywhere, from the super-expensive-but-so-worth-it hand-blown glass beads and sterling silver beads to the totally-inexpensive-but-fantastic glass/clay/stone/bone/plastic/metal beads, with all the findings and stringings you could ever, ever wish for. This is the place that got me into making my own jewelry, back when I was … oh probably 14 or 15, and it’s been one of my favorite places on earth ever since. The one downside to this place are the non-owner workers. They’ve had a bit of turn-over over the years I’ve been going, but generally the workers who aren’t the owners are kind of snippy and unpleasant. Easy to ignore and avoid, though — they’re no more interested in talking to me than I am in talking to them. On the days when I’m lucky enough to come in and find one or both of the owners working, I have a much better experience. They’re genuinely friendly, loving people, and I love to see them. Ahh Beads & Things, I miss you~
