Barrett’s Towing

Mason, an overly-​opinionated, suburb-​raised, mama’s boy doesn’t recognize good service when he sees it. If the driver didn’t feel comfortable towing his car he must have had good reason. I just had mine dropped off and, literally, the first thing I wanted to do was leave an amazing Unilocal review. My car blew out on the highway yesterday and I had to leave it overnight in a precarious location. I called early this morning around 8AM and the lady, I didn’t get her name, was incredibly friendly and helpful. She took my information… didn’t require I be by the car… and said the driver would call when he was outside. About forty-​five minutes later I get a call from David… easily one of the nicest guys I’ve met. He had to flip a bitch on the highway and, while facing oncoming traffic, loaded my car up. He then had to do ANOTHER u-​turn in oncoming traffic. Their drivers obviously aren’t afraid of iffy situations despite Mason’s one lone Unilocal review that sounds more like a personal beef than a review of the company.
David put my car exactly where I wanted it, took my payment info, recommended a great mechanic and said to mention his name for a good deal. Even offered to cut me a break if I needed to have it towed there. Very friendly, very professional, ¹⁰⁄₁₀ service. If I ever need another tow in Athens I have no reason to call anyone else. If you do call, I highly recommend requesting David if he’s available.
Also, if you look at my reviews you’ll see just how rarely I leave five stars. That should say something.

I have to say the only good thing about this company, is that their driver was quick to attend to my incident. The driver, a smart –mouthed farm raised young man, did not feel comfortable to pull my vehicle for tow where it was. I went ahead out of my way and got the vehicle to a comfortable position and available for him to do his job. Though I did my part, he disagreed and did not want to cooperate with myself. He did not want to take accountability to do his job, though his company said he could. The police were involved and the incident could of been avoided if this young man wanted to cooperate, reason, and keep his mouth shut when someone is talking such as myself or the sheriff I’m with. The drivers name was Chris, and this is a terrible towing company to have service you. Avoid them at all cost unless you’re terribly desperate sitting in 20 degree weather for 3 hours like myself.
