perhaps the price isn’t worth the inconvenience of lack of follow up with promised phone calls, of estimate of when the glasses would be ready(3 weeks not 1 week) and randomly closing during business hours that necessitated two trips to a closed store when they advertise that they are open so that they said they would mail the glasses to me, since they couldn’t assure me that they would be open to go pick them up at the store

It has been two weeks that I placed an order of prescribed sunglasses. The owner said it will be ready in a week. I haven’t heard anything from them until today and I don’t even know when the pair of sunglasses will be ready. Very disappointing.

It’s a shame I really wanted to like this place and support a small independent business. First I was downtown and went to see if they’d gotten the contacts I had ordered and paid for. The girl said they should be there in a week and a half. So when I went in she said I had ordered them on 12⁄16 and on 12⁄26 they had not arrived. So I had to look at my credit card statement for something else and they charged it on 12⁄7. I have never had a place take this long. Here is where it gets bad. I tend to order glasses on the internet. They use Chinese frames and lenses put together in a lab in New Jersey. I wanted Jim to make me a really cool pair of wrap around prescription sunglasses with a slight blue tint. He said I could give him the Chinese ones to lift the prescription off. He got numbers way off my actual prescription. At this point I was prepared to cancel the $ 70 charge on my credit card and send the Chinese glasses back. Which I felt weird about because the vision out of them seemed fine. Before that I felt like getting a second opinion. I went to Sears optical and the guy was able to confirm they were indeed the correct prescription. I am being non judgmental but something definitely wasn’t right.

I’ve been going here to get glasses for at least 20 years. They are always helpful and courteous. They always help you find glasses that look decent on you. They are much cheaper than the other glasses places in town. I’ve never had a bad experience.

My second time going here. Last time was nearly 2 years ago, and I thought I’d get a cheaper rate at the UGA vision center butttttt not so much. Adams Optics is the a few bucks cheaper than UGA, *and* the frames + lens = ONLY $ 99. If you order one pair of glasses, get the second one for only $ 50. Within 3 – 4 hours, I picked up my TWO new glasses. I am in love with the quick and amazing service.
