Welling Court Mural Project

New wall murals just finished this week on 12 At and Welling.
If you are hardcore fans like me you’ll enjoy the spray arts on many of the blocks.
You can walk down 30^th Ave or take the bus like Q18 from the N, Q 30^th Station.

This is just an absolutely incredible display of talent. Everyone should make a point of going here. What started in 2009 as a neighborhood revamp idea with a few murals, has turned into a massive 130 mural (and counting) project. Many local artists have been able to display their talents in the neighborhood. You could spend an hour easily wandering around the different streets taking in all the murals; each one as incredible as the previous. You can go online to find a map of all the murals, which I highly suggest doing because new ones are added all the time and new streets are beginning to have them. This was such a beautiful experience. I recommend everyone going to see it.

Talent. Pure talent. Creativity and diversity. It reminds me a lot of the murals in cali (mission) each piece says so much both with and without words. The businesses agree to have talented artists express themselves while giving a boost to the neighborhood. Easy to get to– food options nearby. Love it. Love the fact that I have art a few blocks from me and it’s free!
