Great selection of salads to start. The capellini cakes are an amazing appetizer, too. I always ask if the vodka sauce is vegetarian and have gotten different answers, so I ask to switch it out for the marinara sauce, just to be safe. My favorite pizza so far is the Il Greco. It’s so lemony and delicious. The crust is always cooked to perfection. I need to try the brunch menu soon!

This under the radar Pizza Restaurant is a must try for pizza lovers. It is one of the best Brick oven pies. It is comparable to all the top places such Montorino, Paulie Gee’s, Forcella so forth. You won’t be disappointed

We ordered the San Gennaro and the Sopresatta Piccante pizzas, and they were both absolutely phenomenal. Our server, Gennaro, was charming and attentive. We had a wonderful time speaking with him about different pizza styles and the history of Naples. If you want excellent Neopolitan style pizza, go to Tufino Pizzeria Napoletana.

The happy hour specials are amazing and they have a great selection of wines and bottled beers. The food is good and I like that they offer spicy honey to put on their pizzas. My only suggestion would be to add a few more dishes that aren’t pizza to the dinner menu. I have been twice and the staff has been great both times. Despite it being a little far from my apt I will be going again!

Ordered a delivery. Never received the food! Called the restaurant an hour later. Whoever answered the phone said the delivery person was here. 20 mins later still no food. Called seamless and canceled the order. Then the manager of the restaurant called and apologized. Blamed the personnel. What a great service! No food, very disappointed! Was really looking forward to trying their food. I guess we’ll just stick to Vite.

I’ve eaten a lot of pizza. And I’ve eaten at a lot of well-reviewed pizza places. This is some of the best. Seriously. So under the radar and so delicious. Wine Wednesdays is great — get ½ off any bottle of wine. I also love that it’s a nice ambiance inside while still feeling laid back, with the focus on the pizza.

Tufino has the most delicious pizza that I have ever eaten! The service was quick and our server was very friendly. We ordered appetizers– the«capellini cakes» we’re absolutely amazing. I think that everyone who visits Tufino should absolutely try this appetizer. We also had a stuffed calzone that was filling and savory. There is such a variety of delectable pizzas on the menu we will definitely be back to try more!!! Delicious, delicious food!

Wonderful pizza shop primarily but it acts as a wine bar as well. Nice match between the two with a decent wine selection. The décor is simple but what stands out is the large pizza oven in the back. The pizza proprietor here really forms great pizzas. Highlights are the meatball sliders. Juicy and flavorful with veal and beef. The fried zucchini fries with a great sauce. Crisp and salty. The cappellini cakes. Crisp topped cheese with a pasta like filling. Pizza highlights were the white brie pizza and the spicey honey pancetta pizza. Crisp and soft crust from the wood fired oven. Great service and a great place for a pizza night.

A very cute, local restaurant with a neighborhood feel. I met up with a girlfriend here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was quiet save for a few regulars(and a mother-daughter duo to the side; more on that later). Together, we shared the Mista Salad: Organic mixed field greens, fennel, endive, goat cheese, sliced pears, candied walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette. Pretty decent, but I remember that we didn’t finish it by the time we paid the check. We also split the fried veggie sampler. Deep-frying breaded zucchini can actually be very tricky because of its moist and soft interior. Sometimes the breading will fall completely off with one bite(slipping out like a fish), and other times it’s just weird. I’m not sure how Tufino was able to do it, but the fried zucchini was decent. Part of the sampler also included fried asparagus. I preferred this because it was less awkward than the inherently mushy zucchini contrasted with fresh crunchy bread batter. Tufino’s is definitely a very cute place to meet and catch up with a friend or friends; vibe is pretty chill. Would love to come back during dinner time as I’m sure it’s much more romantic. The mother-daughter duo, by the way, were very loud in their complaints about the pizza. Methinks they just wanted to dodge the check because they waited until the very end of their abundant meal to make said complaint. The server handled himself pretty well.

Maybe the ambience of the restaurant makes all of the difference, but I picked up my pizza and walked it home with me. I was amped — I ordered a shmancy personal pizza while I was still on the subway as a treat for myself. Picked it up at the appointed time, that was all fine, but when I got home and actually ate my pizza, I was pretty damn bummed. The reviews of this place were super good, and I understand that this style of pizza is different than the Italian-American variety that I grew up with, but this pizza was pretty mediocre: soggy, chewy, undercooked crust, and the toppings and sauce were just fine. I would have been okay with that if it was half the actual price, but instead I just felt ripped off. I would be willing to try it again if I went in and sat down, but it’s moved to the bottom of my list. There are too many great places to eat in Astoria to overspend on gourmet pizza.

After reading all the good reviews and finally trying Tufino, I’m a little disappointed with the pizza– found it to be okay. I got the Il Greco delivered. Delivery took about an hour which is quite long, but the estimate was 45 – 60 minutes so I can’t really complain. What was irritating is the pizza arrived to me cold, congealed, and a bit soggy. I live six blocks away from this place, had to wait an hour for the pizza, had to meet the $ 15 minimum, and it’s not subzero outside— the pizza should be warm when it gets to me! My reheated pizza was okay. Not exceptional tasting, not large portion size, and not worth the price tag. The olives were tasty but kept rolling off, they would be better cut in half and spread more evenly across the pizza, especially since they’re the only real topping aside from cheese. Also 2.50 for a can of soda? Get outta here! Overall, unimpressed with the joint but might give it another shot.

I like the ambience of this place. Nothing fancy, yet very comfortable. When we arrived, we had the option of sitting anywhere. So we chose the front of the restaurant not knowing there was a section in the back. Eventually, the restaurant filled up with more patrons. We checked in on Unilocal and there was a voucher available to redeem a free beer with an order of pizza(of course we redeemed it). We got the Nonna pie which came with fresh mozzarella, ricotta cheese, meatballs and basil. We also ordered the sampler appetizer that has 2 rice balls, 2 potato croquettes and 1 gigantic fried mozzarella ball stuffed with salami and mushrooms. You can tell all the food was fresh and tasty. I wasn’t a fan of the potato croquettes. It had some light brown sauce drizzled on it which was sweet. I liked everything else. The staff were extremely nice, but I felt that the service was a little slow. I only noticed two waiters; perhaps they didn’t expect as many patrons on a Wednesday night?

This place is perfect. Huge portions of charcuterie and cheeses for $ 4 a serving. Even the coffee is perfect. Pitcher of sangria to die for. Bottomless brunch mimosas for $ 8. And the pizza? Don’t get me started. We ordered the soppressata piccante pizza with fresh basil and mozzarella… This pizza came in my mouth in the best way possible. It lingers like heaven. Perfectly thin and crispy and tasty and cheesy and foldable and delicious. RUNHERE. RUN.

I saved my cheat day for Tufino’s in Astoria last week. Having attended a Unilocal event there the one thing that really stuck out for me was the courteous staff and the owner. He was there in the middle of it all making pizzas and making sure everyone was getting served. The restaurant itself is cozy making it the perfect setting for a date or a night out with friends. Living in NY, where pizza is practically a religion, I would conclude that Tufino’s has a menu with various styles of pizza that would satisfy even the pickiest eaters or those who want a twist. If you prefer to go simple, get the margarita pie. The fresh basil and EVOO drizzled on top will leave you asking for seconds… a second pie that is!

The place is beautiful — the food makes you feel like you are in Italy and the people make you feel like family — «We make pizza the way it should be» — everything fresh and homemade! Live music on Thursdays — we saw Kate Mills(she is fantastic) Great Happy Hour Prices! 100% will be back This place is lacking NOTHING!

So happy to have this Pizzeria in Astoria. I consider myself a pizza connoisseur and there are three types of pizza in my book: 1. A delicious, cheap slice(go to Rosario’s Deli) 2. Classic, authentic pizza(go to Basil’s) 3. Innovative, higher-level, the good-%^&(go to Tufino’s!) Tufino’s falls into the latter category. We had the meatballs and a special pizza with peppers and spicy honey. It was sooooo goood! It reminded me a lot of Roberta’s which is a big compliment from me! Try it out!

Probably the best place for brick oven style pizza in Astoria. We went on a not so busy night and ordered 2 pizzas. Each pizza was topped with a delicious fresh ball of mozzarella. The crust was nicely charred and had a nice consistency. Good pizza lies its secrets in the dough and this was cooked perfectly. It had a nice crisp at the edge when you bend the slice with a perfect slight dip in the center as you hold the pizza in your hand. The Napoli $ 13 was topped with flavorful slivers of anchovies and capers. It added a nice salty and smoky element to the pizza and works well as a whole. The San Gennaro $ 16 had a good amount of sausage and peppers. The drizzle of spiced honey brings out the flavors well. Definitely lucky to have this close by. The prices are on par with other brick oven places but the quality of the ingredients makes it worth it.
