If you buy a kitchen appliance here, then find out that the appliance is broken when you open the box 15 minutes later, good luck returning it. The owner might shrug and point to a sign that says «No refunds». Or, he may suggest that you broke it yourself. My advice: Don’t even start here.

Summit, NJ
This is my favorite local discount store because the selection is a bit unusual, it’s well organized and the staff is nice as pie.
The picture frame selection can be great – and there’s some weird frames that can be turned less weird with some paint or a bit of découpage. Points for that!
They also have a fantastic selection of organizational bins, tubs, etc. The kind of stuff that helps keep you sorted, but costs a million bucks at Target. Fun colors, nice designs and an assortment of sizes.
Great party supplies too – a HUGE bag of confetti for $ 3? Yes, please.
There’s a great hardware section, helium balloons, notebooks and stationary – good stuff.
