This rating is for pizza. I lived in Jersey on Long Island and in the city and it’s about time we got a pie out here that can finally measure up to the pies back east. The sauce is spicy and plentiful and the crust is chewy and how they got it that way I don’t know with the hard water that Astoria has… Locals were not raised on this kind of pie. After living here for over 25 years this is the first pizza that has come close to what I was raised on.

Ready for something DIFFERENT?!? If your answer is YES, then you will be overjoyed with the Inferno Lounge. Don’t let the name mislead you: the name, «Inferno» pays homage to the majestic sailing ship in Astoria’s cult classic film, The Goonies. Located on Pier 11 and the Columbia River you might think you could sail off into the Pacific right from your freakin table! Beyond the connection to the movie, The Inferno Lounge is a class act. The theme is «Rat Pack Swanky» according to proprietor Rich Ewing and he absolutely nails it. Booths have been luxuriously upholstered and the upbeat yet classy music is a tribute to icons & crooners like Sinatra & Dean Martin. If the booths are taken you can sit at the Columbia River-facing bar or the riverside tables literally INTHERIVER! Are you kidding me!?! The views alone will blow your mind,(if it doesn’t, check your pulse… you may need CPR). Atmosphere is casual-cool-retro-classy but comfortable, with a clean décor on the dark side… think pirate ship and you’ll catch my drift. But the important things are the DRINKS and the GRILLEDCHEESESANDWICH with(real butter), Fresh Tomato slices and a side of rustic-spicy Tomato Soup. Wow, I can’t explain HOWGOOD this thing is! They offer an insane Chocolate peanut butter martini that should require a license, killer double margaritas a $ 15 Bloody Mary, wine and beer. Why am I raving? Because the Inferno Lounge is 4 for 4; Location, atmosphere, Food & Drink and Cheerful happy service. Just like in the movie, «The Goonies» the«Inferno» is well preserved and seaworthy, along with its amazing cargo & treasure; The Inferno is last seen sailing into the setting sun in the Pacific Ocean… adventures await.

Finally, after three years of living in a loveless wasteland of cardboard pizzas cut into seventy-five slices, I can finally get a slice of ACTUAL pizza! This place recently started selling New York style pizza by the slice or in a giant 20″ pie. John and Rich have been working together to get the pizza going and I am absolutely loving the fact that I can pick up a great pizza for a great price.

My husband and I chose this location to celebrate our one year anniversary and we were not disappointed. The staff was incredibly friendly, the prices were very reasonable and the food was delicious. My favorite was the pork tacos(seriously the best I’ve had). The view was amazing and we loved the atmosphere. We will definitely be back when visiting the area again.

First visit to this classy dive bar over looking the water on Saturday. Read about it on Unilocal and reviewed their FB page. This bar has a many choices of seating with lots of atmosphere. There are semi-circle redish and gold vinyl booths, small tables, great seating AT the bar, bistro tables at windows then step down to tables at the amazing large water front view windows. There a small private/secluded area in front near the bathrooms with a sofa, lounge chairs and mold lighting. Overall, the place has a dark red, gold and black old Vegas lounge feeling with Sinatra and other old crooners playing over head. Several big crystal chandeliers with black lighting for effect. Super fun! We tried 3 of the infused liquors — red vines, pepper and sweet tea. Red vines infused was just like the candy but very sweet. The pepper infused with cilantro and lime which was very good! You taste the pepper on the finish but it’s not over whelming. Sweet tea with lemonade was just right and would be great on hot days. Food wise we had the exploding wiener, meat ball tacos, pot stickers and braised pork tacos. All good but the pot stickers needed more flavor. Having fresh ginger in the dipping sauce would have helped the blandness of the pot stickers. Service started out slow as it was seat your self so it took a bit for the waiter to come over. After our first order, we were checked on several times. The owner came by to check on us and asked our feedback which was very nice. The place really filled up fast for an early Saturday evening. Overall, I enjoyed this place very much with great drinks and good food. Definitely coming back for the pepper lime and cilantro martini! Great lounge feeling too.

Trying hard to be hipster and upscale, its just an old steakhouse with anew coat of paint. If you’re guy, you’ll like the 5:1 ratio of ladies. The joint was being served by the bartender, which made the service poky, though friendly. The apps were ht a mi, but the view of the river(you’re hanging over the river), is majestic watching the bird and ships is pretty great. The mediocre drinks were pricey.

Late at night, we drove through Astoria looking for a quick meal before heading to Fort Stevens for the night. Inferno Lounge has great food at a great price. We ordered the lettuce boats and the pasta mac, both were around 6 dollars, and each filled up like a small meal would, if not a full meal. We were so surprised! We weren’t planning on getting drinks, but the menu was so appealing with their flavored vodka that we decided to try the pear flavored vodka as a press, delicious. Would definitely come back next time we are in Astoria, staff is friendly and the vibes are good!

Very charming, slightly hipster place in Astoria with a gay-friendly vibe. It was the first joint we found on the waterfront, and we kept going back. We had a great time drinking«half-beers» for 3 bucks on Sunday afternoon. Good prices, unbelievable view, very sexy barman(on Friday night), and welcoming staff. Thanks to Dida for the local history lesson and tips on Astoria. She made our 2nd visit even more memorable. Of course we’ll keep going back!

We happened into this little bar, which I have dubbed Black Sabbath on the outside but Rat Pack meets Burlesque on the inside. It is a hidden gem in Astoria, with delicious cocktails — house infused liquor and a great proprietor in Rich(ask him about his fascinating background across the country and into hawaii to finally land in Astoria, OR.

Fun place to visit right along the water! They specialize in infusions. They have suggestions for cocktails based off of the infusions, or if you have an idea of your own they can make that. It’s kind of a cool idea the sky is the limit with their infusions, but I was also looking for a specialty cocktail menu, so It was just different than I expected. I would go back. Service was great.

I love being called«my darling» by women in the service industry, so I was charmed immediately by our server. The soft, sensual, 1990’s, almost religiously dark bar on the pier. It was everything that I ever would have wanted as a misfit teenager. It is a Anne Rice novel with cocktails and chandeliers. I have tried the food here before, and it was far from disappointing. On my next visit I will do a meal. They have smaller plates, so you do not need to commit to Inferno as a single dinning destination. There are plenty of other restaurnats within walking distance. This trip was for a dirty martini, and per my request they made it muddy. Thumbs up. If you like themed, dark, romantic dining with a beautiful view, Inferno is your best bet. Not only is Inferno highly unique for Astoria, it is unique overall. Enjoy yourself.

LOVEDTHISPLACE! Service was amazing, drinks were amazing — between the 4 of us we had the red vine vodka drink, the peanut butter martini, their version of a dark stormy, some hot drink I don’t remember the name of but next time I am sick I might have to drive all the way to Astoria to get it, and a few others but I don’t recall. Personally my favorite was the red vine drink and their version of the dark and stormy. I loved the décor and the music, kind of made me feel like I was in New Orleans. I highly suggest checking this place out! In fact, I can’t wait for my family to visit and for us to take a trip to the coast. I know my mom and sisters will love this place.

Fisherman’s Friend(Rum): so good when served hot. Entirely what it sounds like. $ 15 Bloody Mary: perfect! Lots of finishings and a very good size with 3pz vodka. Very cozy, small place with a comfortable atmosphere. Restroom was clean. Bartender was very knowledgeable and friendly great service. 10⁄10 would 100% visit again.

Did you ever watch True Blood? The vibe is like a Pacific Northwest Fangtasia. Red leather booths. Dark crystal chandeliers. Craft cocktails made from booze infused in-house. The Forbidden Apple and the Peanut Butter Cup Martinis were amazing. Frank(and his contemporaries) on the stereo and and very diverse crowd made for a very cool night.

Traveling through Astoria and so happy I stumbled upon this place, it’s a hidden gem at the end of the pier. I own a few bars in Los Angeles, two of which are craft cocktail establishments in which our bartenders have won numerous awards. Never did I expect to come upon a place like this in such a small beer drinking town. The cocktails are truly superb, well crafted, and balanced. For such a cocktail snob like myself, I typically go into a place not expecting much since craft cocktails are very trendy in the business with not alot of skill. However there was not one thing disappointing and I was literally«Wow’d» with a mango flavored martini and one of the iced tea selections. I ordered food both times and was equally impressed. I loved the lettce boats! l I got to meet and speak with the owner for a bit who is truly a humble and the most polite man, as well as the master behind the world class cocktails. If he had this joint near mine in LA, he would definitely jeep us on our toes. Amazing job(even with the classy décor). Keep it up and best of luck to you from one cocktail connoisseur to another.

The mango specialty martini was very tasty but the dirty martini was watered down… The food we ordered was not hot nor even warm… nothing to brag about for sure. The location is great with awesome views of the water. Hopefully they make improvements as they are only a few months old. A very expensive experience… $ 80!!! For mediocre food at best. They are working on more staff and training. I’d give them another try if I’m back.

Stopped in after dinner to check this new place out, and I’m glad we did. Nice, laid back atmosphere, and an extreme décor upgrade from a few businesses back. I had the Peanut Butter Cup Martini; most definitely a delicious change from typical bar cocktails. I can’t speak for the food, but they had a dessert menu on the table I was eying, which probably means I’ll be back for more.
