Expected mediocre and they didn’t make it. Dried out, overly breaded. Egg foo yung mushy and flavorless. Too salty. Crossed off my list.

Read the reviews and thought I had a winner on my hands. Sadly my «luck» ran out on me. While the food was not horrible I’ve definitely had better. I know we all have different tastes so I do recommend that you give it a try, it just didn’t do it for me. The service was fantastic, seated immediately, quick drinks brought our way and from the time we ordered to the time food began to hit our table it felt as if a only a nanosecond had passed. I ordered the special, it came with a BBQ pork which was dry and not very barbequey, pork fried rice that tasted overcooked bland and had me searching for pork like a needle in a hay stack, sesame seed chicken that was deep fried and lacking flavor, all topped off with a Mongolian beef entrée which was the saving grace of my dinner. Although it was different from any other Mongolian beef I’d ever had(lack of a sauce) the flavors from the beef and the accompanying veggies were delightful. While I can’t remember what my husband ordered I do know that he was just as disappointed as I. We may or may not try this place again, but if we do we are going to order something else to try.

On November 42015 my wife found a hair in the pork fried rice when we brought it up to the server he didn’t even offer a fresh plate. when we went to pay they tried to charge us for the hair food we didn’t eat I refused then they started yelling in a foreign language

There is no better place to eat than here. If you want the real deal, this is the place. I recommend the Beef Special chop suey for a pan fried soft noodle dish and the #3 Combo for more«traditional» dish. This place is great for under $ 20 for two or for around $ 40 a family.

Absolutely terrible service. do NOT come here for small town hospitality, and don’t park in their parking lot if you plan on walking around afterwards or they will try to have your car booted, or they will block it in with their own vehicle and refuse to move it(even on a Monday morning at 11AM). I’m ashamed to have spent money at this establishment.

This place is absolutely the worst place you could ever dine in. The food is horrible and gave me bad diarrhea and food poisoning. I parked in their parking lot and wanted to walk around a little after and came back with my car being blocked in. I wanted to move it but they refused because I was blocking a few spots on a Monday morning at 10am before they were even open. Do not eat here they will try to tow your car or just block you in and give you food poisoning!

After checking reviews on Unilocal, this restaurant looked like a good bet! At 2pm in the afternoon it was almost empty and couldn’t have asked for better service! LOL Picked 2 specials off the signboard in the lobby and voila! 5 minutes later had some soup in front of us, and large glasses of iced tea. 5 minutes after that the 4 entrees showed up on large plates! Cashew chicken, deep fried prawns, crab puffs, and fried rice. Good sized portions left us full to the brim! For around $ 20 for two? Not bad, in fact pretty darn good! Very clean restaurant inside and restrooms were very clean also. No complaints about this establishment! Will visit again!

Great cocktail(try the painkiller!) And perfectly serviceable Chinese food at the beach. Met my expectations. I had bbq pork as an appetizer(large serving) and a vegetarian dish with 3 kind of nuts, plus water chestnuts and actually crunch vegetables. Large enough for two, for sure. I’ll be back!

Me and my friends went to this restrauant and I ordered the sweet and sour ribs. And they were so bland that I had a stomach after I ate a couple of bites. But the service was great.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in town. Tasty, affordable and speedy service. American food also available for people who dislike Americanized Chinese food.

Such amazing food. The three of us each tried something different, and all of us were left incredibly happy with plenty of leftovers. Great prices for the amount of food received, the iced tea was perfect. This will be the go-to place for Chinese in Astoria.

Gut-twisting. Bowel-wrenching. Mind-altering. Fear-inducing. Vomit-inspiring. These are just a handful of hyphenated words that I would use to describe the piles of dog food this place is servin’ up in the good ol’ North Coast of Oregon. If you wanna get a good plate of Chinese food, you’re better off booking a flight to Asia. Or even Philadelphia. Hell, even Tucson. Anywhere but here.

Mongolian beef was excellent, prepared healthy, but lacked enough sauce. The hot and sour soup was really good. The BBQ pork was not very good and wasn’t served with enough sesame seeds for dipping. The bartender was sweet and an attentive server. He was new and didn’t know how to make many drinks though. Overall fairly good and dishes prepared fresh and healthy as Chinese can be.

Reasonably priced and ample portions. Typical Chinese food. Not amazing but not horrible. I’ll stop in again when I’m in town.

Had the shrimp chow fun when I was there for lunch… Not too impressed! It wasn’t greasy and there was plenty of ginger… What killed me was the stained booth??? WTF!?! How can I sit comfortably and enjoy my meal??? Deduct a star… Plenty of shrimp but they were small shrimps… Deduct a star… So that leaves me with 3 stars… Decent Chinese food, but it wasn’t spectacular… Prolly wouldn’t revisit a second time, only because there are a few better eateries in this town…

Took my Chinese wife here, and afterwards, she slapped me. Edible, but very salty. Meat and rice fairly dry. Hot pot was admittedly not made in the pot(kinda the slow cooking purpose), but pan fried and dropped in. Sizzling beef was more vegetables than beef. Slow service, even though the place was fairly empty for Sunday lunch. Flies flying around, without concern from the staff. May be your best bet for Chinese food in Astoria, but we won’t be returning(don’t want to get slapped again). :-o

Food was ok. After reading the reviews I was excited to try it. For a Friday night the place was dead. The quantities were large and I wish the overall food quality was better. The best part of my meal was the bbq pork.

Took my parents here this past Monday, 11÷26÷12 — to celebrate my mom’s 65th bday, since she’s a Chinese food fan gone wild. We ordered the Scallops w/veggies, Shrimp Eggroll, Egg Foo Young, Chicken Subgum, w/fried rice. Food was great! Made me a bit nervous that we were the only patrons in the establishment, but I’m glad they proved themselves. ;) But I selected this place trusting my fellow Unilocalers’ reviews too! Our server was a bit timid but was very friendly, just think I startled him w/my enthusiasm and questions about the menu. TIP: Try to sneak in before 3:30pm so you can save a bit in $ and order off of the Lunch Menu. Their fortune cookies were even tasty — obviously, they don’t make/package them in-house, but whoever they chose as a vendor — 2 thumbs up! I could taste nice vanilla and almost a tad of cinnamon? Yum!

Awesome lunch specials!!! Quite a few to choose from. 2 Items with soup for under 5 bucks! Large portions, fresh, and hot. Attentive, fast, and pleasant service is the standard here. You can’t really go wrong. We dine here quite often and have never had a complaint at all. As a rule in Astoria, most all of the Chinese places are about the same as far as quality, pricing, portions, etc. It is the typical Americanized-Chinese fare with very subtle flavour differences between the main players in the restaurant scene.
