The Steinway St GAP Kids is just busy enough to keep the store open but not busy enough to make for a crowded shopping experience. All else is the same as any other GAP Kids store. Quality is generally decent, colors are usually muted and staff is helpful. It is neither very cheap nor very expensive. Cheap enough to lure you in and expensive enough to limit one’s shopping for kids. After all kids tend to grow and they tend to grow fast.

I have not shopped in this Gap Kids before and won’t be shopping in it again. This is not based on the woman who was downstairs in the baby/infant section… although she was not very helpful. After I picked what i wanted, I went to the woman who was at the register and she told me I would need to go upstairs to pay. When I went upstairs to pay the man who rang up my purchase rushed me through his sales speech about a Gap card and was talking to other sales people on the floor about the merchandise rather than focusing on the paying customer in front of him. I was grateful that i was able to quickly ask for a gift box, of which they were out of and he threw a gift bag and blue tissue into my bag. I think I will stick with the Gap Kids in the city as compared to this location, even if it is closer to my home.

Not sure how many times I went there to pick up gift in the recent months, but this GAPKIDS is probably the worst GAP in the history. Bathroom is always«out of order», blasting hard rock music all the time(shouldn’t they play something clamer for kids???) I always felt like I was at Spencer or AF store in mall where more mature kids will hang out. Oh, and they always have boxes of items and signs sitting around the store, which seem to pose danger to anyone trying to go in there. I guess this is Queens so anything goes(even GAPKIDS?) Sorry, but one star.
