Crescent Deli

Family orientated business all the brother are very polite and cool. Everything in the store is easily found. The deli guy can confuse orders sometimes but I would still recommend this place anyway

I FINALLY found a regular Queens deli in Astoria. I don’t know what it is about the deli grocery stores in Astoria but they all suck. MOst of them are useless unless you are looking to just buy fruit or a drink from the fridge.
Crescent is a one stop shop. They have everything you want from your corner store. Firstly they actually have a deli. It amazes me how many corner stores don’t have a deli. They’re just losing out on business. I can grab an egg sandwich in the morning or cold cuts in the afternoon.
Secondly, they have everyday items in here. Things that if you just need to pick up you can from the CORNER. You don’t have to walk 3 – 4 blocks or go to your local drugstore (unless your drugstore is your corner store of course). Best part is they are open ²⁴⁄₇. I’ve been here at all hours and it’s been such a convenience especially at night when everything is closed.
Toilet paper, paper towels, calling cards, tobacco products, sandwiches, and the list goes on and on. Crescent has always been my go to especially at night when I just need one or two household item and everywhere else is closed for the night.

After finding a cockroach in my bread from here (and paying $ 5 for the loaf too!) I will NEVER GO BACK!

Crescent Deli is definitely on point as far as selection and customer service! Friendly and family owned, the fellas who run it work very hard to keep everyone happy. I’ve seen them run out after a customer just to give them there change. Lots of great selections, produce is always fresh and great treats you don’t find in a standard deli. Greatest thing about them is they deliver everything from ciggies to meals.
ONLY down fall is the person making the food is completely absent minded so chances are you will not get exactly what you order… other than that they are the greatest!

This place is better than the average Astoria bodega. It is clean, there is a solid selection of products and natural/​organic fare. Plus they have a variety of tobacco that is always fresh.

This may just be your local corner grocery/​deli, but when I lived down the street from them, I was here practically every day. They family that owns and runs the shop are very friendly and willing to go out of their way to help you. If you’re a little short on cash, they’ll let it slide. If you need to borrow a ladder, they’ll lend you theirs (yup! been there, done that.). They’re always having conversations with their customers, and they get to know them on a personal level. They have great deli options for rather cheap. less than $ 3 for a tuna and cheese sandwich and a soda.
Only negative is that the guy who makes the sandwiches doesn’t really pay attention so you may end up with a slightly different sandwich than your ordered.
