Came here after a couple of drinks at the bar right down the block because bars don’t normally have food (other than pizza) and this was one of the few location that was still open.
Originally wanted some yogurt but had to settle for something else because all Chubby had were fried food, mash potatoes, burger, corn, ice cream.
I settled for the Whiting Fish (which came with a generous amount of fries) and a can of soda all for $ 5.99. I didn’t get food poisoning and the food was decent — hot right off the fryer so everything was crispy.
Wish they had tiny sauce containers for customers to take the condiments along with their orders without having to ask.
Might not be a regular at this joint unless I’m nearby but will most likely return.

I usually get the burgers, there chicken is good ! all around a good place if you looking to just get a quick lunch or fast dinner. great prices for the quality food.

Just ordered from the place in Brooklyn at 362 Wilson, and it was the worst thing I ever ate, I had the burger and the wings, the wings where ok, but the fries and the cheeseburger was HORRIBLE NEVER AGAIN

I was looking for quick place to eat something around that area, so I found this place. Place an order is really fast, I didn’t even to wait a lot for my order get ready, they also have a salad and dessert section (really cool in my opinion), but when my order got ready and I tried the food (I order a chicken nugget w/​French fries) the fries were now cook well, and the chicken was not the best. Also form the 100% of my order 15% was the chicken nuggets and the 85% French fries. Maybe I will give to day another chance, but it will be hard

Good food, open late too, their mix plate is good, burgers are on point. Great spot to come when you’re hungry.

It’s nothing special. Their fried chicken is what’s driving the customers to come back. There was nothing crispy about the «crispy» chicken burger and the taste was bland. The fries were good though.

Went here twice while I was in town for the week both times for chicken gyros… so good! The service was great I was greeted with a smile and treated kindly both times and the gyros… happy sigh. Delicious served with tzatziki sauce on the side and French fries crisped to perfection.

I’ll start by saying this place can be great. The first time I went, I loved it. I got the gyro which I thought was awesome. The service was friendly, food arrived quickly, and tasted great. What more could you ask for?
I went back again because why wouldn’t I? This time it was a completely different restaurant. The service was very rude and inattentive. I decided to overlook it so I paid, sat down and waited… and waited… and waited. I think I must have stayed there for at least 25 minutes waiting for my food at a fast food restaurant. Other customers that ordered after me had received their food (regulars it seemed) and I was still there waiting. I asked twice about my food and they said it would be right out. Finally I got my food and just wanted to get out of there because it was too loud and I was too hungry and angry.
I get home anticipating at least a good meal where I realize they forgot my tzatziki sauce. How can you enjoy a gyro without tzatziki sauce? So I go back, tell the guy at the counter while I was obviously annoyed at this point. I think he muttered something along the lines of an apology, gets my tzatziki, and waits for me to leave.
After all this I would have at least expected something extra. An offer for extra food, or at the very least a sincere apology but I received nothing except for a blank, impatient stare.
To sum up, I think for a place to be rated well, it needs to be consistent and this place is anything but. The food is good for the price but customer service is seriously lacking. I won’t be going back because better food with better service is not hard to come by in the area. If they act like they don’t want my business, I don’t have to give it to them.

I have ordered from here on multiple occasions (Seamless), and eaten inside the actual restaurant once. That was my first time there. My boyfriend and I were famished after apartment hunting all day long in Astoria. We saw the bright orange sign, giggled at the name, and decided we needed a Chubby Burger.
We waited as they cooked our two cheeseburgers, fries, and portioned us up some mac n’ cheese. It was kinda busy in there for late afternoon, but we didn’t wait too long. That cheeseburger was pretty great. Not like a microwave-​nuked McDonald’s cheeseburger. Not quite to the caliber of a fancy steakhouse cheeseburger. But dang was it good that day. Freshly grilled, thick patty, fresh toppings that were evenly spread, and a nice sesame bun. The fries were good too. I was too full for the mac.
Flash forward to one month later. I’m all moved into my new Astoria apartment and I have discovered Seamless for the first time, thanks to my roommate. So many options! Free delivery! So dangerous! And guess what?! Chubby Burger was on there, score. They were my first Seamless order, and it wouldn’t be the last time I ordered from them either.
The food is almost always hot and good — here and there you get an order of soggy fries (but hey, they are out delivering food to the masses of Queens on a mini scooter). On occasion they forget a requested side of ranch dressing (yes, for french fry dipping). And once, when I had requested for no ketchup and pickle as I always do, the ketchup and pickle were on the burger. I’m pretty sure they refunded me for the burger that time — which was super nice.
I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews for this place — you’re ordering from a burger joint that specializes in getting you your food delivered fast. I think that it’s good, quality food — especially for it being pretty reasonably priced. Sure, you could go to McD’s and have them slap you together a paper thin burger and some overly salted freezer fries — or you can order from Chubby Burger and get some better quality food, for a little bit more $, with the same type of convenience as fast food.

Great Food, Good Service, Love the Chicken Cheese Steak, Would Recommend Going for a Sit in or Take Out!

Every time I come to this place around 1 – 3 in the morning I always wait 20 – 40 minutes to get my food and I don’t order anything that requires the cook to cook! I just order the stuff they have in the front. I always get the same guy when ever I go and he’s always talking so much with his «friends» irritates me that I see him talking and completely ignores my simple order and just passes the order that was meant for me to one of the people he was talking to and makes me wait till the chicken they serve is ready.

This is a no frills spot. Although there are much better places Steinway to get a chicken sandwich or a burger, this place will hit the spot when you’re short on time, can’t look for parking and need to run in and grab a quick bite and take something to go. The wings are ok, the burgers are good and juicy, the fried chicken is moist and their Philly cheesesteak is a surprise star of the show.

Food was good ordered the hot wings and fries a burger and chicken and rice plate that comes with a salad.
Loved my wings and fries exactly what I wanted the chicken and rice is like halal style /​tasting so ok. And burger was ok. But I’m not a huge burger fan. It did what it needed to do. 3 stars on the food
2. Missing bc inside was like gross and dirty the tables needed to be wiped the floor moped the chairs wiped it looked sticky and a layer of dirt just a good clean down over all. I didn’t want to sit down to eat but I was so hungry couldn’t wait. The surroundings was so ew
My chicken was though hot juicy and good flavor. Go if you must in a rush quick fast food bite but not your regular run to stop.

I’ve ordered from this location three times now. Even though I rate it three stars, I keep going back. Why? Because it’s simple, easy and fast. The food is worth what you pay. It’s no frills, but it tastes good.
As someone else said in a review, the cheesesteak is awesome. Seriously. I never would have thought a place like this that has burgers and chicken in the name would have such a good cheese steak, but it might be my favorite thing of theirs! It is juicy, fresh, cheesy and just plain delicious.
The burgers are okay. Good, but not great. The chicken is pretty tender, which is nice. I don’t feel like I need to dip it in any sauce for it to taste good, which speaks highly of the flavor.
Overall — food is good for the price. My delivery order has been messed up a couple times now, but not so much that I felt like calling for the order to be correct, just something to keep in mind.

The burgers are so good and they use Halal beef. Great place for a quick bite. Definitely under rated due to unreal expectations.

This isn’t Destination fried chicken. This isn’t «authentic» Southern Fried Chicken served with red velvet waffles, organic maple butter, and a $ 15 gimlet in a mason jar.
This is fast-​food fried chicken for people who already live in the neighborhood, people who are too lazy or tired to cook, and just want something cheap and filling and good. And it is good for what it is. It’s a million times better than K (as in Kentucky) FC, a good bit better than K (as in Kennedy) FC, better than CFC; and well, the local Popeyes closed a while ago, so there you are.
The chicken is moderately seasoned, tolerably salty, and with a thin crust which stays reasonably crisp even if you save it for a picnic the next day. It doesn’t have that gooey stickyness like at KFC, nor does it have a slimy layer of rubbery skin right below the crust, so that’s a win in my book.
It sits in a pan under a heat lamp all day and it’s fine. If this bothers you then you can probably ask them to make your order fresh. They seem like reasonably friendly people. They don’t even have to put bulletproof plexiglass between you and the counter.
The potato wedges are exactly like the potato wedges at every fried chicken restaurant.
Anyway you can get an entire catering tray full of chicken for around $ 14 and be the hero of your next pot luck picnic.
I have no idea about the rest of their food. I suspect there are better places in Little Egypt to go for a kebab, though.

Food really isn’t that great, you’re way better off going to a fast food joint or a slice of pizza.
Staff is perverted. They stare at you and flirt with you and try to hug you. No thanks my man.
Overall– decent drunk food. don’t go alone.

Having picked up a menu ahead of time, i finally decided to grab some food and check the place out. From the menu, I knew or should I say, I hoped for food above the regular fast-​food chain quality, unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Grabbing food for a few people, I ordered the 5oz burger, 10oz burger chubby burger with cheese (asked for mushroom, jalapeño, fried onion additions), 2 spicy chicken sandwiches, beef cheesesteak, and side orders of corn and onion rings.
Unfortunately, both chicken sandwiches were not in the order but was charged and yes I should have checked before leaving. Surprisingly, the 5oz burger was par at best, however the chubby burger (again, minus the additional asked choices) still appeared to be more flavorful and felt worth the paid price. The cheesesteak on the other hand was decent and something I could recommend for others to try without hesitation.
Yes the venue is Halal and a good option for the strictly halal patrons, but for all others, it is just an option with other locales in the neighborhood.

Crown Friend Chicken is beta and Chubby’s is 2.0. Its just a step above the ghetto fried chicken places that I go to in Brooklyn if not the same thing. The only difference they have kabab. Place basically serves frozen food just like any other fast food place except some items are halal.
Place is definitely over-​hyped !
You will get a good meal don’t get me wrong but its nothing out of the ordinary. I can make this stuff at home.
