This place is incredible. My husband and I have been dining at this restaurant over the course of 6 years and we agree on that it has stayed consistent throughout the years. Luis, the server, is very knowledgeable and personable. We always feel well taken care of in his section. As for what you should order next time you go in? Everything! Anything! Really, you can’t make a bad decision there.

I love Christos. My fiancé and I try to go every other month because they’re that great. If we can go every month we would. Unfortunately, we are still working our way around other steakhouses in NYC. Christos steaks are seasoned well and their steak sauce def helps when I start getting sick of eating too much meat. Their sides asparagus, cream of spinach is a must have. I use to order their lobster Mac and cheese until they told me «we haven’t had that on our menu for awhile!» I could’ve gave them 5stars but when I ordered their oysters, it just didn’t float my boat. Overall, Christos is worth every penny! Loveee

I am making this short and sweet. The food is delicious! We had the steak and it was well worth the price. Excellent service, good wine, good music. I took my friend who is getting married soon for a girls night out. WELOVETHISPLACE. We look forward to coming back.

Had a big group event here for work as a reward for my team. Everyone loves steak and the Unilocal reviews are great. Well this place did not disappoint. The service was good, waiter was a little strange however very attentive. Good was excellent. Lobster Bisque soup, Ribeye steak, creamed spinach, lobster mashed, and asparagus. Everything was fantastic!!! Dessert I had the vanilla crime brûlée with chocolate bottom was also great. Try the red sangria as well!!! You won’t be disappointed.

When I have the money this is the place I want to spend it! I have been there twice now, and I’d like to say I tried different things but it was so good the first time I had to get the same. Best cooked steak I’ve ever had(including Mortons and Keens) All I can say is LOBSTERMASHEDPOTATOES!

I made a reservation for 9:15 this past weekend. I did it on for two people. I later called to make sure they got the reservation since it was online. The lady said yes I asked her if I can move it to 9 she said no as they are very busy. We arrived at 9:10 they told us to wait ten to fifteen minutes as they would clean a table for us as soon as someone pays and leaves. We waited in waiting area for almost 10 minutes. A girl and a guy came in and they sat them at a table in bar area. When we asked them why they got seated first the girls response was they didn’t have a reservation. The walk in customers were actually seated first? They could have offered us that table since we had a reservation. The logic in that is a joke. What were they thinking? On top of that she turned around and started speaking Greek to the waiter on the matter right in front of us thinking we wouldn’t understand. We left. This tactic only proved that they wanted the business of the walk in customers instead of have them leave since they should wait. They probably figured we would wait since we had a reservation made for 915 since early in the day. I have never been somewhere ever where a walk in customer gets seated before someone waiting with a reservation.

Let me start off with saying i’ve eaten at a lot of steak houses and for a local steak house in the neighborhood Christos is and excellent steak house. Very professional staff and all around excellent food and demeanor. I had the lobster mash potatoes with cream of spinach, calamari, grilled octopus which was hands down the best appetizer out of all and a 14 oz fillet mignon that literally blew my socks off. The skirt steak was excellent as well follow by 2 bottles of wine. All around 5 start food and 5 star dinning i will be coming back asap.

Came here New Year’s Eve. It was my third time at Christos and I brought 5 people with me. For weeks I was hyping these 5 people up for lobster mashed potatoes… but they ran out!!! Otherwise we had a great time, food was amazing, service was good, first time getting the ribeye and definitely not the last time. but the lobster mash! We were all so sad… nice of the manager to comp all the other sides to make up for it! Thanks for a fun night, 2nd New Years spent there and third time overall. If they had half stars it would’ve been 4.5, if they had the lobster mash it would’ve been 5. The moral of the story, don’t mess with my lobster mash.

Arrived 30 minutes early and sat at the bar. Jeff was absolutely #1 star for recommending a great wine and helped us with our dinner choices. Great music, ambience and service. Highly recommended.

Excellent choice. The staff is extremely courteous and attentive. The service is five star. Peter’s attention to detail and knowledge of the offerings as well as our individual preferences made for a delightful experience. The other reviews are spot on. The lobster mash, the porterhouse for two, and the asparagus were delectable. Seth, one of the managers was a gem and understood my wants and needs. The portions were plentiful and I am liking forward to bringing others the next time. Everything was good.

I personally love the steak in here among Queens area. Last Christmas was my first time went there and they had a waiter who speaks Mandarin Chinese. We enjoyed our talk with him(even though his mandarin is not that well). I would recommend this place if you don’t want to travel all the way to the city.

Have been meaning to try Christos for while, we finally came here for M’s birthday in August. Christos is a low key, old school restaurant. A steak house with Greek twist. The staff are welcoming and unpretentious. I’m not into steaks but M is, he walked away impressed and surely so was I. We started with the trio appetizer of seared scallop, fried calamari and balsamic roasted fig. The scallop was perfectly cooked, the fried calamari was surprisingly tender and tasted fresh. if you are a frequent home cook like me, you might want to skip the fig. It is tasty but the preparation isn’t too complex, so you might want to pick something you won’t otherwise make at home. M and I shared the Prasini salad. I rolled my eyes a little when the dish came, they substituted the romaine with iceberg lettuce(ahem… and charging me $ 12 for this?). But what the heck was the dressing made of?! We couldn’t stop devouring the salad, it was light and simple and surely I will order it again. For the main, we ordered the Ribeye(medium rare) with a side of lobster smashed potatoes. The side of potatoes was not as mind blowing as described by other reviewers. However, it was creamy, buttery but not heavy; I was impressed by the amount of lobster meat it contained. Now, the Ribeye… All M. could say was«Hmmm…yummm», followed up by sticking another of that juicy, flavorful and perfectly charred crust piece of steak into his mouth. Personally, I really enjoyed it. Bless those 1800 degree boilers? The only flaw of the night was that I noted on Opentables that it was my husband’s birthday. I was not expecting any comps but an acknowledgement or cheers for him would have been nice. Unfortunately, due to the way our seating was set up there was no way for me to pull any waitstaff to the side without M. noticing. The awkward moment came when the table right next to us were celebrating a birthday and the staff congratulated the birthday lady and brought her a dessert on the house. I feel like I failed in my wife-duty. We will return, the food was really great and memorable.

Came here after meeting with some friends on a Saturday. We got lucky because they were booked up and we were able to get a table near the bar. The food was fantastic. Had their trio app with crab cake, scallop and fried cauliflower. Unfortunately my pork chops entrée was slightly over-done, but the flavor was there. One star off for our waitress. She didn’t seem to have a clue on the menu and we felt a bit rushed the whole time. Overall, still a great experience and I would go back if I’m in the area again.

A delightful dining experience! A pleasant surprise in the knowledge of the waiter and staff. Highly recommend the grilled octopus salad. A lil high in price. But once u dine there u will see the value and know the diffference from another establishment.

The service was spectacular. Mike was our waiter and he was knowledgable, helpful, and incredibly attentive. He made our night perfect. The food was delicious– well seasoned, balanced, and expertly prepared. We had the porterhouse for 2, which generally comes with 3 great sauces. The kitchen also made us a horseradish sauce which was super tasty. I had the lobster mashed potatoes(oh my god) and my fiancé had the bacon mac and cheese(oh. my. god.) Christos more than earns the hype. We’ll definitely be back.

How? How do restaurants like this have such high ratings? I feel like I’ve been robbed… The waiter was not informational at all. I felt like I was at a fast food restaurant. I was not recommended anything from the menu and by the time I was ready to place my order, another waiter had to come over to place the order. My wine glass had lint all over. It looked like it hasn’t been washed for a few months… I had the charred octopus and Christo’s salad, which were not bad. What I am really mad is the steak. This is a steakhouse, right? I ordered a medium rare and it came out medium well. How can you mess that up? Aside from that, the waiter did not do anything about it when I told him… I really feel like I’ve been robbed. How do restaurants like Christo’s get away with things like this? This is absurd!

The food here was absolutely spectacular. We were looking for a nice steakhouse near us so as usual I went to Unilocal for suggestions. Found this place and I think I’m in love !!! The steak was cooked to perfection and the lobster was even better. The service was great and the staff was very accommodating. If you’re ever in Astoria and looking for a good steakhouse, look no further.

I’m a big fan! My hubby and I had a great time celebrating my birthday here. We had reservations for 7:30p on a Saturday night and were seated promptly. Our waiter, Spiro, was incredible — polite, friendly, attentive, and efficient. The manager, Pavlo, really knows what he’s doing and it truly shows in the staff and service. The bread and olive tapenade opened our appetite as we looked over the wine list. For appetizer, we had the lobster bisque, which we both enjoyed. For our entrée, we ordered the Porterhouse Steak for 2 and Lobster Mashed Potatoes. The steak was humongous and absolutely divine. Some parts were a little too red for my liking, but my husband enjoyed those pieces. The lobster mashed was a pretty big portion as well — I really enjoyed the chunks of lobster in the potatoes. We were so full and were going to tap out for the dessert… but then we saw the menu. We got the Chocolate Bottom Vanilla Crème Brûlée. Basically a crème brûlée with chocolate mouse on the bottom. It was really good! Even the two tables around us asked what it was and ordered the same thing. We left very happy — can’t wait to return!

It’s good. Hard pressed not to compare to the many steakhouses in and around the city for a native New Yorker, perhaps we’ve been spoiled. Ta start, holy goodness, skinny coconut mojito! I don’t know why it’s called«skinny» except assuming some part of an ingredient calls for it but wowza deliciousness. Appetizers were crab cakes and baked clams bacon topped. Anything with crispy bacon in it, on it, around it is brilliant in my book. Porterhouse. Ordered medium rare. While the flavor is good, I’m not one for overcooked rubbery steak as some parts of it were. A good thing we ate off all the rare and were too full to care if we left the remaining overcooked portion. With a variety of mashed potatoes on the menu, we went with chorizo and cheddar in ours, and again while flavor was good it made for quite a salty side dish. I think it could’ve been better adjusted than other mashed tator flavor options since chorizo on its own is salty. In all fairness, it is probably simply preference. Creamed spinach was just that. Not so much creamy but good to have some kind of green with the meal. Personally when it comes to steak/steakhouses, my expectations are higher than any other food grouped restaurant and so also more critical. To be labeled a grand standing steakhouse, it should be just that and perhaps it is a tad unfair because some of the steakhouses it is being compared to are Keens Luger even midtown Benjamin. Overall for local, it certainly holds its own weight. Definitely give it a shot.
