So, I’ve always heard great things about this place. I went before and thought their burgers were very dry. But I went there for brunch. I was excited cuz they had a new menu with some things that looks interesting. Nothing is worse then going out for breakfast and returning to your APT hungry and disappointed. No good brunch. Waitstaff was great though!

The yellow awnings of Bareburger always demand my attention and as I continue to see more of them around the city, my curiosity grows more and more. It was a glorious three-day weekend when a friend and I decided to finally give this place a try. I arrived first and was a bit nervous seeing a crowd waiting in the front considering I had not made a reservation in advance. As I went in, I was so thankful it was warm and appreciated the fun décor(painted, wooden bear heads sticking from the wall, utensils used as chandeliers, booths and childhood cartoons playing on TV). I asked how long the wait would be for my friend and I and was told it was about 20 minutes. When she arrived, she came with another friend of ours so I changed the group to three. Moments later, I noticed she brought her fiancé so I changed it to four. I thought it was inevitable that our wait would be significantly longer considering that some of the crowd that was there when I originally arrived was still waiting but no, it was still about a 15 – 20 minute wait. The wait was fine, since the Beatles were playing and we were in the middle of the entrance of the restaurant and no one told us to move or wait in the outside awning area. We were seated towards the back, which was like a second room of the restaurant. I appreciated how the booths were so high we could still have a bit of privacy and noticed how there was a tiny area with stools for those who really wanted to eat here and would settle for not having a proper table. Our server was gracious and very attentive giving us a lot of time to pick out drinks and meals. Everyone but myself ordered a proper drink(e.g. alcohol) like a Left Hand Milk Stout, Blood Orange Margarita(reminiscent of a slush puppy) and Bareburger’s version of a Moscow Mule. I ordered a seemingly lame white peach iced tea but it was 20oz, light with a hint of flavor, so I felt like I was #winning. For noms, I seriously considered getting one of their salads. Then I thought,“why the hell am I getting a salad when I’m at a place that’s clearly known for their burgers?” So when I came to my senses, I ordered the Fire Quacker: duck, pepper jack cheese, habanero mayo, pickled jalapenos, red onions, spinach, tomatoes on a delicious brioche bun. I love duck, anything spicy and trying anything unique(never heard of a duck burger). It was delicious that it quickly disappeared from my plate and left my taste buds were deeply appreciative of my choice despite being on diet. Speaking of diets, my friend suggested that I could create my own burger on the Be My Burger section of the menu where I could pick anything from a bun, cheese, bacon, sauce and spread. This was in an effort to control what exactly was on there but I wanted to pick one of their own Bare Burgers instead(which, by the way, has all of their red meats cooked medium unless specified). My friend ordered the Wiki Wiki burger: wild boar, gouda, duck bacon, pineapple relish, chickpea onions on a bioche bun with a side of fries. Our other friend’s fiancé ordered the Guadalupe and was actually charged $ 1.20 extra for cheddar cheese: black bean, pickled red onions, tomatoes, alfalfa, guacamole on a sprout bun. With a little bit of ketchup, everyone was pretty much happy and satisfied! Towards the end no one had room for dessert but coffee was had by 2 out of 4 of us. When the bill came, we got a break down of who ordered what according to what seat we were in in our booth. Totally worth satisfying my curiosity of what was beyond the signature yellow awnings.

Excellent lunch special of 10.62 with tax for a burger, fries and soda. Thick burger, cooked how you want accompanied by quarter spear true kosher pickle. Easy peasy quick bite before a hop on the subway into the city.

My favorite place for a burger; clean, organic, healthy, sustainable, friendly staff & most of all delicious! My favorite is the bison burger with manchego on collard greens. Always a happy customer when I come here! Sometimes weeks or months go by, yet the staff always welcome me. Double happy!

One of my favorite burger places, they come up with great combinations of meats/sauces/toppings. Try the onion rings/fries combo(dipping sauces are really good with them). Can’t go wrong with any of the hamburgers there…

Ok so– I remember when this place first came around Astoria. It was the sh-eeit! You’d end up waiting a little bit to get a table if you wanted to eat there. Anyway, I ordered from here the other night and I gotta say– man oh man have they decreased in quantity lol I ordered a bison burger with some pepper jack cheese, onions and their special sauce. I remember back in the days when they first came around– I couldn’t even finish one of their burgers! They were huge! Now when I opened my burger– it was pretty small, and I know it was because I finished it all this time. I also ordered the sweet potato croquettes with sauce. Now, I’m not taking stars away from the taste of their food because the food pretty is damn good! So I’m keeping my rating at 4 stars. I do try and base on the taste of the food rather than other things.(unless some horrible experience ensues lol) So yea– back to the food lol As I stated, I got the bison burger– well done– and it was delicious. I do like their«special sauce» it gives it a kick. The sweet potato croquettes are also really good. At least they haven’t become stingy with the amount of those they give out. I don’t care for the sauce that comes with the sweet potatoes though. I think it has cilantro in it and I don’t care for that. So I ended up getting extra special sauce and dipping the sweet potatoes in that instead– definitely was good! So basically the food here is great tasting but the fact that they have shrunk the size of their burgers kinda sucks. Better off getting the sliders– there are three of them in an order and you get the same flavor of the burger but it’s a bigger meal. Make sure you have plenty of cash to spend on this food though because it’s really expensive. I guess that’s why I’m bothered about the shrunken hamburgers– you pay so much for one of them and they make em’ smaller now :-/ Anyway– I do recommend the place though– and there are multiple locations now all over the 5 boroughs!

Delicious organic, all-natural burgers. Been to a couple different locations around the city and all are great. I personally love the farmstead burger and often sub out the patty for their black bean patty. I highly recommend getting the sweet fries, you won’t forget it.

Ever since Bareburger started popping up everywhere I’ve been a fan. Glad I have one close to home. It’s kind of got the Applebee’s feeling but with better quality. It’s a go to place when you just want a standard meal. Never disappointed. Burgers are always cooked perfectly, sides are awesome, and the sauces, oh the sauces its dipping heaven.

This place was fantastic! First off, while we were waiting, I got some sort of whiskey concoction with bacon as a garnish and it was incredible! Sweet and smokey with a whiskey kick, incredible. The staff was super friendly and helpful in accommodating our larger group. The coolest thing about this restaurant is that you can get all kinds of meats that you can’t normal get. The have elk, lamb, wild boar, bison, and even duck patties. They also have tons of incredible toppings including duck bacon, alfalfa, and chick pea onions. They have tons of awesome combinations, and you can build your own burger if you are feeling out side the box! The ingredients are all fresh and very high quality. Everything I tasted was beyond amazing! This place seems to be spreading like wildfire! My only hope is they make their way to RIASAP!

Very friendly staff. We got there just as they opened and was able to order and get our food pretty quickly. We were visiting during the US Open and needed to find a place with gluten-free options in Astoria. They were awesome. The burger I had was great with lots of fresh toppings. We got a sampler of every sauce they make. They’re all good, so you can’t go wrong there. The fries were amazing with all the sauces. I highly recommend them if you’re in the Astoria-Queens area!

Whenever I’m in the mood for a burger this is my spot. I’ve tried multiple burgers from here. My two favorites are the supreme burger and the roadhouse burger. The sweet potato fries & rings combo is a must when you come here. I noticed they added a couple of items on their menus recently. I will definitely be coming back soon to try some of their new items.

I came here last night. I’m sad to say that their burgers have reduced in size, by about 25%. I used to rave about how big their burgers are and that I could only eat half then give my other half to my husband. No longer the case. I finished the whole burger and was still hungry.

Bareburger has changed their menu. I don’t know how recently they did it. Ostrich is still being served, but it is not listed in the menu, FYI. You can still swap out the styles with whatever burger you want. I tried to sweet potato and wild rice burger, farmstead style(but bread instead of collard greens because I was sooo hungry after working out). Their sweet potato fries are still good as ever, which I was happy about. The burger was delicious and I wasn’t disappointed in anything EXCEPTFORTHEFACTTHAT I WASSTILLHUNGRYAFTEREATINGFRIESAND A BURGER. I love Bareburger’s food, but the portions are so small for what you pay(I suppose because it’s all organic?).

I’m rarely blown away by a burger place but Bareburger is 5 stars from top to bottom! Customer service, food quality and taste, environment and décor, and speed of service were all far above my expectations. Lila was so energetic and passionate about the food, she really started off the experience in a positive way! The menu had a great selection but wasn’t overwhelming. The food arrived quickly and was the perfect temperature. The burgers were flavorful and juicy, the fries were crispy, and the milkshakes were thick and creamy! I’m totally blown away and would recommend this place to anyone looking for an awesome lunch on a sunny Saturday! Enjoy!

The original Bareburger. I love this place. I regular had my birthday celebrations at its other locations in Manhattan. I love their all-organic menu(even the condiments are organic) amazing burger creations, eclectic meats(try the ostrich — little pricier but really great slightly sweeter lean red meat) amazing shakes, and all the BEARS everywhere. This burgerhouse holds the place in my heart as one of THEEBESTBURGERS in the city. Also I have consistently had GREAT service at this location and across the board. I bring friends here and mention/recommend this place literally every week.

3.5 stars I like the idea of novelty meats such as ostrich, wild boar, elk and bison. I’m the adventurous type. I want to try everything at least once. So I decided to get a medium rare bison burger roadhouse style — which includes country bacon, hass avocado, pepperjack, sweet apple grilled onions, fire roasted red peppers, and smoked paprika mayo. In terms of the bison itself, it just tastes like a healthier, chewier version of beef and lacking a bit of flavor. I thought it was a bit odd that I enjoyed the toppings of the burger than the actual meat itself. I’m probably just accustomed to greasy beef patties. We also shared a large order of onion rings. I loved that it came with three different sauces. These were also very tasty. These burgers may appear small but don’t let the looks deceive you. They are actually quite filling. I would definitely come back to try the wild boar or elk!

Hi, my name is Brie & yes I confess I came here for a small Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. I’m not a fan of burgers unless it’s homemade or from Five Guys. My salad was fresh, crisp & delicious. Perfect amount of grilled Chicken, dressing & shaved Parmesan Cheese. The salad was a perfect choice because it filled me up rather quickly. I like that the salad wasn’t drenched with Caesar dressing where it would’ve been no longer enjoyable or edible. We also ordered a basket of the Onion Rings & Fries combo. The Onion Rings were delectable, the fries well umm let’s see they were awfully salty for a supposedly healthy eatery. Bare burger, have you no shame? The ratio of Onion Rings to French Fries did not make sense. 5 Rings varying in size &2 handfuls of French Fries. Can someone please explain how is that a combo? It’s a small place with outside seating. The staff is nice & accommodating. The atmosphere is cool. I think it use to be a garage based on the appearance.

Great burger place offering lots of different burger variations. Your choice of protein includes beef, bison, elk, and a few others. We couldn’t decide which to go with while we were putting down our appetizers with their special selection of sauces. We got onion rings, french fries, and sweet potato balls. Everything was excellent. There is your regular catchup and mustard at the table, but I didnt use any as the sauces were on point especially their special sauce! We finally decided to order 4 orders of sliders making them of one protein each, what a great decision that was as all of us in the party got to try out each of the proteins. Elk was my favorite by far, followed by bison and then regular beef. They were all excellent, don’t get me wrong here! I wish I had one near where I live, but this one in Astoria is a win! parking is pretty challenging here, and the place tends to get very busy during peak hours. Don’t look over their milkshakes and Sammy’s also! If you have any room left after your main meal!

Leckere BioBurger mit Biozutaten und nettem Service. Die Idee den Burger selbst zusammen zu schrauben ist schon nett und wenn es dann auch noch schmeckt besser. Ok nicht billig aber für das Angebot angemessen.
