I’ve never been one to do sushi take out, but this place rocks! I did take out for my Dad’s birthday and we were not disappointed, the birthday boy gave rave reviews haha. They supplied plenty of wasabi and soy sauce which was my first concern. The sushi was well made, not the best I’ve ever had, but certainly well made. The staff was very friendly and happy, even though I was doing take out. The restaurant is tiny, don’t come with more than 3 or 4 people. But I liked the ambiance, very relaxing and homey. Made me feel warm and cozy even though it was very cold outside. We had the shrimp shumai(the only underwhelming thing we had), California roll, Scorpion roll, and spicy tuna roll. The spicy tuna is one of the first in a long time that was actually spicy and tasty, most other places it is bland and has no kick. The flavors were distinct and clean, the fish is fresh tasting. I love that they deliver and do take out, and given their convenient location next to the Steinway subway stop, I know I will be coming back for more!

I like that they have japanese people making the sushi. I find the balance of authenticity and reasonable prices a perfect match. i eat in and take out and its all good. the only thing i didnt like was the mackeral — it was a bit fishy, so i always substitute it with octopus. its a bit farther than my local chinese/japanese sushi place, but beating people on my fitbit is another reason to go.

Hands down one of the best sushi spots if not the best in Queens! Sushi is ALWAYS fresh and service is amazing. Friendly staff and the kitchen dishes are great as well. I travel a bit to eat here but it’s always worth the visit. Warning: You may not be able to eat sushi elsewhere once you’ve tried this place. Take it from personal experience from a sushi fanatic lol

After trying a few other sushi spots in the area, I find myself coming back to Bai. The quality of the fish down to the texture and taste of the seaweed used for the rolls stand out more and more after disappointing experiences at other local japanese restaurants.

Great sushi in a cozy space at a reasonable price. Quality of sushi and its offerings definitely standout from its local competitors. Service was friendly, attentive, and helpful picking items on the menu. Definitely will be back. Even great for a date.
