Ira has come out to our house in Chevy Chase on two occasions: first time when our heating system was down and the second time to fix a backed up kitchen sink. Our house was built in 1950s and our furnace is from the 1980s. Ira addressed the heating issue immediately and then stayed behind to discuss what to consider when purchasing a new furnace. He also wrote up a detailed note that summarized his advice. On the second occasion, the kitchen sink was backed up and he explained his hypothesis thoroughly, went over the pricing, and then got down to work. It was not cheap to unclog decades of decaying food particles from the pipe but he took 3 hours to make sure it was done thoroughly. He wore shoe covers, laid out cloth to ensure that our floors were not scratched, and cleaned up all the black, gooey gunk that came out of the pipes. He is amazing.
