Pleasant staff with clean beds. However property in major disrepair: wallpaper peeling in rooms, window tracks not greased so opening was difficult and noisy, torn screen, malfunctioning sockets, lamps, bulbs. We both got bug bites on our calves. Pool was clean and well maintained. Property had a yellow-jacket infestation while we were there. Fridge worked but caked with ice. Flimsy bedding and pillows. Outer building had paint slapped in to cover major peeling.

Earlier this month, I checked into the Rodeway Inn in Ashland, Oregon at about 6pm having driven directly from Vancouver, Canada. I was hungry and dropped my bags off and went into town to have dinner and take in the sights. I returned to my room shortly after 10pm. While getting ready for bed, I noticed several yellow stains on the sheets & quickly spotted a couple of bugs that looked very much like bed bugs. I also found dirt, crumbs and a silver screw on top of the mattress. Even the carpet by the bed frame hadn’t been properly vacuumed. Needless to say there was no way I would spend the night in a filthy, bug-infested bed. I grabbed my bags, put them in my car and complained to the the night attendant, who told me the manager would call me in the morning. He/she never did. I ended up staying at a very clean hotel elsewhere that night. After several calls, the manager of this Rodeway Inn has still not called me back. I booked the room through and after speaking with their reps, they told me that management has refused to refund my money. Still, graciously offered to give me the full amount themselves. I also contacted Rodeway Inn’s corporate headquarters and even though they said they would respond to my feedback after 72 hours, here it is 9 days later I have not heard from them. Before I left the room, I took several photos of the filthy room — mainly of the bugs, dirt and screw. I’m happy to share these photos. Awful, awful experience. Never staying at a Rodeway Inn again.
