When I have an electronics problem that needs troubleshooting, I’ve come into this Radio Shack and gotten excellent help. Even if they don’t stand to make a cent, the guys here are great. I am especially grateful to Josh, who has often helped me figure out what is wrong with some device I have. If I need something that they carry, I am happy to spend some money here, as their prices are reasonable, and the quality of their merchandise is good.

The guys here are pretty dang friendly, and very helpful. They spent a lot of time on the phone with my carrier trying to set up my phone today and it definitely deserves some recognition. When they do have sales, they’re usually pretty good, too. They have good hours for an Ashland place, as they are open till 8 or 9 some nights — unlike most of town which seems to shut shop as soon as the sun is halfway across the sky.
Other than that, the place is usually far too expensive for really simple things. but then again that’s just how electronics tend to be — it’s the accessories that kill your wallet… I’ll take one star off for that, but really it’s not the fault of the employees or anything — they do well, and seem to be really into it and helpful. Good for them for not being incompetent like most electronic departments in larger stores.

Radio Shack is the 7 – 11 of electronics-it’s the place you go when the party’s about to start and your amp dies, or you need a replacement battery, or you want that gizmo that no one else in town sells and a trip to Medford is out (and then, no one in Medford has it anyway). Super friendly service too boot.
