Man the lady that own the place is a freaking witch. She is an evil lady with mean intentions. She over price the rooms and have a bad attitude. Everyone complains about the train but its not that bad. BUT the woman will charge you twice with one of the charges via pending. She done me and several others like this. I can’t stand this place and I hated I spent a week here due to work! DONOTSTAYHERE.

Only gave one star because cannot rate lower! Bathroom tub is filthy and stained. Shower head dribbles rather than sprays water. Shower curtain stained and dirty. Coverlet on bed has cigarette burn through it. Did I mention the train tracks about 50 yards across the street. Well if you like the sound of trains blowing their horns, the rumble of passing cars and road noise, this is the place for you. The Quality inn reservations folks do not give a heads up about any of these bonus features, shame on them. They also said that the hotel was close to restaurants, they don’t mention that they are four miles away! The night clerk was just nasty to myself and the next guest in line. He had just booked three rooms and one had a plugged toilet, she told him to fix it himself! The day clerk was pleasant, but seemed to hover around our table at breakfast, maybe she was lonely? She did want me to not take too much food so I would not waste any. I am writing this just before checking out, so I cannot recommend this place to others.

It is the worst hotel on the earth and entire planet, rooms are too expensive. It is located next to train rail and you expect at least one train starts to horn at least every 45−60min. The rooms are not that clean and the owner is way too rude and nasty! Avoid going there!

If you enjoy trains, this is the place for you. They warn you ahead of time, thankfully. I was taking an impromptu trip along the Ohio River when I started to feel the effects of a migraine headache around Portsmouth, Ohio. At Ironton, I searched for a motel with zero luck. I crossed into Kentucky since Unilocal told me that there were several motels. Having a migraine, I wasn’t finding them, but I saw a Best Western as I passed it in traffic. As I found my way back to that location, they were full. The desk clerk was kind enough to call the Quality Inn, and I made a quick reservation. They warned me about the trains and that their swimming pool was not working. I arrived a few minutes later, to which the desk clerk and female owner-operator told me «you’re lucky to get a room». That being so, telling me made me feel that I wasn’t appreciated. Sure, they’re busy, but should you tell your customers that they’re lucky? Room 122 is on the first floor, has a large, comfortable bed, and has non-smoking status. At $ 74.99, I thought it was a bit much considering the train and the swimming pool, but they have the advantage. Oh, and the free WiFi cuts out every few minutes, so you can’t do anything too meaningful, like some download that you absolutely have to have for a meeting, etc. I think next time, they’ll be lucky to have my business. Update: I gave these people $ 84.25 in cash for the room and they still charged my card $ 95.50. The indignant(I didn’t charge you!) person on the phone Friday night told me to call the manager in the morning. The morning clerk told me that the manager was on vacation and that the $ 95.50 was only supposed to be a hold, not a charge. They had talked about a $ 25.00 hold but the morning clerk told me that putting the price of the whole stay was a mistake. It will take up to 15 days to be cleared. Yeesh! It has been cleared, so the money is available again. They never answered my e-mail. I guess the best thing from my experience is that other people can learn from my mistake.
