Starting off, the pizza is awesome. Always great variety of toppings on the combo. Pricing is reasonable for Ashland, overall I really like the place.
The reason this review is being written stems from an experience while ordering to go a couple days ago. From a few places back in line while waiting to order I witness the cashier reach up and touch her dreadlocks multiple times and then immediately go back to handling food. Not only that but they were hanging down out of some loopside bun, swinging around above food while she prepared it. I don’t know about most people but to me that’s just plain disgusting. In addition to that when asked for a drink with my order as well she acted very annoyed, as if I was making her do so much more work by adding a $ 1.50 to my order, before I had payed or even handed her my card.
Food is awesome, service is lacking.

Just had a horrible experience with this restaurant. Ordered five extra large pizzas with one asking for soy cheese. Not only did they mess up the order, but they were incredibly rude and accused us of lying and refused to send out a new pizza. I will never order from them again!!! I wouldn’t even give them 1 star if it weren’t necessary to review.

I have never experienced such poor customer service before. We ordered a pizza with soy cheese, and it came with cheese — a big problem for the three lactose intolerant guests at our family party. When we called back to ask them to correct the mistake, the extremely rude woman told us that we hadn’t indicated soy cheese in our order, and they refused to make us the pizza we requested and paid for (there were several people around to hear the order being placed on our end). We called back to ask for the manager, and she let us know that she didn’t believe us, and that she didn’t intend to do anything to make this right. This is the first and last time we will spend our money at this establishment, and if this is their version of customer service I expect others will make the same choice about their hard earned money. If you like your order to be correct, don’t bother with this place.

Received a message from the owner who seems like he actually does care about customers enjoying his restaurant. Sounds like appropriate action was taken against the very rude employee. Glad he wanted to make things right!

Green salad is so yummy with candied pecans and feta and onions. And their pizza is so yummy too!

Before this location opened i frequented the one downtown. In my opinion, Martoli’s is one of the best pizza shops in town. I usually get 3 slices, which can stack the price but, it’s good pizza and that’s hard to comeby these days. I also in enjoy their Calzones.

Great pizza, but the service Is lacking most of the time. Also they’re suppose to open at 11 and never quite make it. I have a short lunch break and have had to change plans unexpectedly multiple times causing me to be late becuase the chose to not be open at 11. The pizza is great though.

Cool low key great pizza joint. Good times, nice staff, clean place, solid pizza. Thinner crisp delicious crust (the way west coast pizza should be) good cheese, the right amount of toppings and perfectly roasted garlic. The Caesar salad is pretty good, a little lemony but good.
Great job Unilocaling this joint people before me, it was a nice surprise on the last leg of a twenty hour car ride!

Like the downtown Martolli’s, whats not to like!!?
Great pizza by the slice or full pie, consistently good. Great selection of drinks, salads are well done too.
Seating’s limited in this new second restaurant (as much to so with Ashland’s asinine and nonesencisal codes as anything), but it won’t stop the pizza being delicious nor will it affect custom. Indeed, although just open — business is already brisk!
The best pizza in Ashland. A winning formula wisely replicated where locals can access year round, and the student poulation can nourish themselves only steps from the dorms. I suspect delivery won’t be offered, but it would be the shake of Parmesan to top this slice of well baked goodness.
