Stay away from this dealer, they are simply the worst. This dealer ripped me off big time. They charged me about $ 12,500 for a boat that was worth no more than $ 9,000 tops… brand new. They made me wait about 12 weeks for the boat, and sold it to me with a bunch of crappy fishing gear. I literally had to replace everything on it. The fish finder was the cheapest model available from the 1990’s. The trolling motor was too big and blocked the main storage compartment the way they bolted it on. and the trailer… oh my god!!! For paying a premium price, I got one of the cheapest possible«Road King» trailers. It had no side bunks whatsoever, and all plastic Walmart style lights. One of the fenders fell off on the freeway after year because the cheap steel cracked. What did I pay all that money for? The trailer initially was unusable for river fishing, because it had no side bunks, and after dishing out an extra 25% cost to this dealer I then immediately had to buy my own bunks and fix the trailer up myself. Furthermore, the way their techs adjusted the bottom bunks and winch on the trailer was completely off: The boat was not aligned and the bottom bunks started falling off after the first few road trips. This business is the quintessential example of what is wrong with American car and recreational vehicle«dealerships.» If you are someone who hates slimy dealers you should take pride in purposefully avoiding Ed’s Marine like the plague. If anyone who reads this never buys a boat from this dealer then they should seriously pat themselves on the back for helping to make the world a better place. Buy a boat from an honest person instead, like James River Jets, and get a tremendous value from someone who actually deserves your business. I would stay away from this Ed’s Marine outright, they are simply the worst.

I called to confirm inventory, when they confirmed they had the prop needed. Drove from Fredericksburg to pick up that day — when I got there they did not have the size they had just confirmed hours earlier. They proceeded to argue that the prop would work and the manufacture prop size isn’t «Exact Science». After explaining what a enormous waste of time they had caused, was told«It is what it is» and if i wanted the wrong part. All the staff there are incompetent and are barely functioning retards. If there was a selection for Zero Stars, I would have selected it for here.

Husband drove two hours to take boat in for repair. They said it was ready. Drove four hours round trip only to find it wasn’t fixed. Brought it back down and when he went to pick up, they charged $ 30 for parts and refused to take a credit card. They are currently holding the boat hostage until my husband comes up with $ 30 cash which he doesn’t have. We have spent $ 100 in gas due to their incompetence and now have to leave once again because we do not own an ATM card. This is by far the WORST customer experience I’ve ever seen.

Buyer Beware!!! If it is not written down Ed’s is not held to it! No matter what your sales assoc. promises you if it is not written on the contract it did not happen. They will promise you delivery in 4 – 6 weeks then here comes the lies!!! «We cannot check on the status because we are not allowed». A week later«I can check on the status, oops it will be three months before it is ready». The SALESMANAGER states«it is what it is» «we are lucky to get these boats when we get them». As his frustration rises so does his voice!!! Customer Service is non existent. Do not buy from these people!!! Lisa does not give straight answers and David is unaware how to treat people. I will take my money elsewhere!!! Any maintenance to be done on the boat that I buy from ANOTHER dealer will be done elsewhere!!! Who has the manufacturer’s phone number???
