Gorgeous winery in an almost Tuscan-style setting. Incredible views! The staff were very friendly and informative about the area. Would highly recommend!

My husband and I decided we’d walk from downtown Ashland to the vineyard(for some reason I thought it was only 1.4 miles… more like 2.2, but whatever… walking is good for you). When we got there, we were greeted warmly by the hosts who were great for the duration of our visit. The wine was pretty good, but we’re kind of hooked on Napa these days, and I just haven’t found any Oregon wines that compare(still happily searching, though!). Cute tasting room with great views of Ashland and the surrounding mountains… it was a nice spot to watch the rain come in(oh wait… we walked!). Luckily, Mother Nature worked in our favor and we took off during a break in the weather. Now a word about walking to the winery… the Map app on my iPhone took us one way that was not ideal… few sidewalks and we felt like we were traipsing around lonely country roads with no protection from traffic. Lots of blind curves, so it was a little nerve-wracking(considering some of these people were likely coming from a place where they had been drinking wine!). On the way back, we found a different route which was MUCHBETTER. So, if you are walking to the vineyard from downtown Ashland, you want to go across the freeway on N. Mountain Avenue… do not take Oak Street to Eagle Mills as it’s a little sketchy. There is a stretch on N. Mountain that is sans sidewalks, but the traffic was lighter and there were many more sidewalks overall. So, if you’re walkers and like coming to Ashland because you can just park your car and walk everywhere for a few days… the winery is walkable if you’re up for a little jaunt. It’s a good spot… you should go!

Great views across the valley, it’s definitely the place to gaze across the city of Ashland on a clear sunny day. The staff has always been friendly and accomodating; only seen women working have yet to see a male employee. The wine is decent, pretty well balanced and most aren’t too high in tannins, don’t linger too much, nor bite in the aftertaste. The drive up to the place is a bit ironic, passing by neighboring properties littered in trash with owners who are more than likely careless as to the fact that they’re at the foot of a distinguished winery. If it’s too windy outside than the deck seating is rough, inside is nice it’s just wood everything indoors so any conversations in the tasting room echo across the room and can be heard by all, hardly helps keep and intimate conversation to your group. Overall, good experience and they have live music there weekly.

The Dana Campbell offers a gorgeous view of Ashland. The tasting room is very comfortable. They have a fireplace inside with one couch and various tables and chairs. The bathrooms are also stocked with hand towels, discouraging paper towel waste. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines. We ordered the mixed flight and were served the tasters at our table rather than having to stand at the counter. They grow all of the grapes on the property, and the wine is decent. I preferred the whites to the reds and purchased a bottle of the sauvignon blanc.

We LOVE Dana Campbell! Most tasting rooms have a nice atmosphere and they plan on a nice view, but Dana Campbell has the advantage of location — a stunning view of the Siskiyou Mountains(and Mt. Ashland) and a gorgeous view of the southern Rogue Valley. Their wines are very good all around. To make it all worthwhile, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and winemaking process. We recently held a retirement party at the tasting room and it was a blast! Thanks to Lauren and Lisa for being awesome hostesses!

Dana Campbell was a wonderful weekend afternoon stop right across the freeway from downtown Ashland. They have a beautiful tasting room and patio up in the foothills looking back toward Ashland and the mountains. Very relaxing. The wine is fine. Especially the whites. But I’m not going to do a big wine critique because if you like it, then it’s good wine. But, I will say that compared to most wineries the snacks they offer are excellent. All in all a very nice stop.

As you walk in the tasting room, the view out of their huge windows is stunning! We had friendly service and enjoyed the wine. Skip the red/white blend(Vionillo?). Delicious Tempranillo! A great place to relax and enjoy the view.

We had a wonderful time at Dana Campbell. There were four of us and we all absolutely enjoyed our time there. It is a lovely tasting room, complete with excellent, friendly, helpful service; incredible views; comfortable seating; and really good wine. We ordered a cheese tray which was delicious and a good value. The ladies were most friendly and went out of their way for us. The bathrooms had individual cloth towels for drying your hands. I liked that very much. I am not from the Ashland area, but will make certain to visit again and again. Five stars all the way!

I don’t care if you don’t really like wine. Well, actually, the hell, man? What’s not to love? Do you even know what love is? I digress. But if you have even a passing interest in wine or only like to drink it as a special occasion, or even if you drink it by the bucket or by the box, I highly advise you to stop by the Dana Campbell tasting room. This is why: 1) The view. Look at peoples’ pictures. This view is what made me say out loud and more than once that I want to retire in Ashland. 2) The wine. The tasting selection isn’t as generous as some of the other places in the region, but it’s just dandy for the purposes of tasting. 3) The view. Worth another mention, in case you didn’t get it the first time. 4) The potential in the summertime! They have a bocce ball court, a fire pit, and plan to have some live music events held outdoors. 5) The snacks, which are fairly substantial for a winery tasting room. J-Bob and I shared a pretty hefty cheese plate, which helped to soak up some of the wine on a practical level but was quite tasty on a delicious level. 6) The location. Dana Campbell is on the same road as the Grizzly Peak Vineyards, which we didn’t end up making it to, Perhaps you will plan better than me. Also, that VIEW.

A new winery but definitely my favorite of the three we tried(grizzly peak and edenvale). I enjoyed the 2012 Sauvignon blanc and 2011 Viognier. Also thought the vionillo was interesting. Loved the view and scenery as well. Beautiful!

This was our second time at this winery and we rolled in just a few minutes before closing time. Even though they had put in a full day, the servers were super friendly and allowed to stay and taste while they visited with us. Their wine was very good and the atmosphere low-key and friendly. Can’t wait to head back next summer when we can enjoy the new deck and the amazing view.

Awesome wine! Amazing view! Must see, taste and enjoy! Plus, there is bocce! Try the Malbec as this was our favorite. The professional staff is extremely knowledgable and knows their wines. «Lite Bites» provide some great options. Try the meatballs with the reds and the cheese plate with everything.

New Winery in Ashland. We went for the first time recently and were very impressed with their tasting room. Great view of Mt Ashland. The wines were very good. Limited selection so far since they are fairly new. The owners are very kind and gracious. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we returned a couple of days later when we had company in town. They have plans for a large deck. Can’t wait for the deck to be completed. It will make for an awesome setting to sit back, relax and drink some fine wine.
