Great local coffee house – for both the locals & the tourists alike. Comfy, cozy atmosphere, great blend of foodies & drinkies, beautiful outdoor seating! So much more!

The best coffee! The best baristas! The best patio! The best snacks! Great soup, great sandwiches and most of it home made and organic. There is no better spot in the Valley.

This is a great coffee house with home made treats. They will make just about any drink you can think up. Lots of milk choices. Goodbean beans they use makes great espresso.

Bloomsbury(upstairs) coffee house is a wonderful place to have tea and/or coffee, lunch, meet friends, snack. The café does get busy at times and customers like to stay as long as possible. Their are tables with chairs, inside and out in the patio. What I love is to visit on a very cold or rainy day, order a hot tea, or hot chocolate and sit in a one of the large comfy chairs they provide and relax. Great tea selection and they make a mean peppermint mocha.

I got bloody brains and peanut butter bar! This place is so friendly and the decorations for Halloween are awesome! Love this place! Spiders, bats, dead flowers and good humor!

Got a good brew buzz here! Cozily located upstairs from the bookstore. Organic coffee and organic half-and-half. Coffee and cappuccino deep, robust in flavor. Cozy tables and comfy armchairs with pleasant, easy listening music. Charming, slightly cluttered look and frilly window coverings makes you feel like you’re at someone’s, grandma’s, sitting room. Currently full of Halloween decorations — BOO! Oh well! No trick, the good coffee is a treat!

This is my favorite café in Ashland. Cozy. Friendly. A great, chill place to chat with your friends about shows you’ve seen, read a book, or work on your novel. They have food, too. Yes, they can take some time with the food when it gets busy since there’s usually only 2 or 3 people working at the same time and they make the food from scratch. But that’s why it’s not Starbuck’s. It’s the kind of place that feels natural to strike up a conversation with a stranger.

Absolutely love this place! It is everything one could want in a coffee shop. Cozy atmosphere. Outdoor seating with a fire pit for the chilly winter days. Indoor seating in a low lighting setting. Very relaxed. And the best part! AMAZING coffee.

Their food and coffee is great. It can be busy, but the atmosphere is still relaxing. My only complaint is that there are not enough plugs in the place. I avoid going there if I’m trying to find a café cause there’s one power strip and only two tables to sit at that reach the plug. Also, the last time I tried to use the power strip it didn’t work. I had to sit at the bar were it’s very crowded. All in all it’s great, but if they could provide easier access to plugs, I would go more often. If you are just meeting friends to have a pleasant conversations, good food, and read books, it’s fantastic!

Ah Ashland. Love this little town. Located on the second floor of a bookstore, you can also access this café street level by taking the back parking lot route. They have a lovely back patio area with fountain. Seating inside is comfy and there is free WiFi. Wish I had more time to spend here, but our pit stop at this spot came in handy.

Simple and laid back coffee shop with a pretty outdoor patio. 6 alternative milks including my favorite, almond milk in chai tea. Nice selection of pastries, healthy salads and sandwiches too.

This place is like an old friend. The owner is a sweet guy, the people who work there are nice and have personality, and the coffee and food are great. And in the summertime… well, let’s just say it’s one of the best places to sit and enjoy life in Ashland proper. It’s a locals’ treasure. PS — A lot of people still think that they’ve covered the outlets so that people who work from laptops can’t go there. Not true. There are not very many outlets, but they are certainly available for use.

Good hangout, nice, simple food, very good coffee(obviously not that horrible Noble coffee). Staff pleasant, prices reasonable. You’ll feel comfortable there.

Cute! I dove out of the rain into a bookstore, as is my custom, and was desperate for a hot chocolate. I noticed that Bloomsbury had a coffee shop so I climbed the stairs and found an adorable, intimate little café… which happens to make a mean hot chocolate. The café was full of people reading and chatting, though there were still plenty of seats to be had. A delightful little shop.

A pretty comfortable place to hang out. There are just a couple of things that keep it from a 5-star rating: too few electrical outlets, and a slightly later than usual opening time(8:30am) for a coffee place. There’s a fair amount of indoor seating, about 10 tables with chairs and a couple of groupings of armchairs. I was surprised by the large outdoor seating area I saw outside. Décor is softly eclectic, kind of like something you’d see at your grandma’s house(that’s not meant to be a dig). Plenty of breakfast foods to choose from, including quiche and breakfast burritos. I opted for the ½ price(woo-hoo!) spice cake, which was well on its way to being stale(ugh). That was a mistake. No decaf, but I was offered a decaf americano, which was tasty enough. It was completely empty when I arrived at 9:30am, but by 10:30 it had filled considerably with a mix of seniors, and adults. Even so, it was still on the quiet side. Make sure your battery is fully charged in your laptop before you go – there are only two-duplex sockets, one of which is taken up by a floor lamp.

This place was great — I almost feel like I shouldn’t Unilocal it and hope tourists to Ashland don’t realize there is a nice place downtown to get cheap eats that are still in line with the area’s organic healthy foodie vibe. Most people seem to not even realize there is a little café above the bookstore! I had a feta and spinach croissant that was a perfect lunch with my iced mocha. There’s a great local feel to the place and they are even kind enough to put a table in the alley for smokers — it’s the only spot far enough away to smoke and not break the tight smoking laws in Oregon. Coffee and food in Ashland for under 10 $, who would have guessed?

The owner is fantastic. The coffee is great. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The best secret hideaway in Ashland. You’ll try to carry the patio home with you.

When I’m browsing around the Bloomsbury Book Store, I sometimes forget that there’s a great coffee house upstairs. It’s separated off quite well from even the 2nd Floor part book shelves and when you enter the café, you really walk into a a very comfortable, cozy, and welcoming living room space. On the day I was upstairs, the coffee lodge was busy with an interesting mix of folks, some reading quietly, others hypnotized on their computer screen, and still more having spirited, yet friendly conversations about various subjects. The Bloomsbury coffee is also very good and a variety of tempting noshes are available.

Fun place upstairs from the Bloomsbury book store. I stopped in for breakfast, and was met with an interesting mix of locals, and decent eggs and toast. I would seek it out again if I am in the area, and yes, the coffee was good too. The chairs are big and inviting in cozy little groupings, and you can’t beat a bookstore for a wonderful place to chill and get lost in the paper or a book.
