Sad childcare, for $ 10 an hour they don’t Play with your child at all. Only stare at them. I came for the Drop In Child Care and didn’t feel comfortable leaving the building. The people outside of the child care all seem nice, just the ladies inside the day care don’t appear to take much interest in the children.

super small, but not crowded. nonjudgmental & easy going. Sometimes not totally together (EX: yoga classes randomly cancelled) and not the most up to date (EX: old machines), but the workers are kind and the price is great.

I’m so glad we found this gym. My husband and I aren’t major fitness buffs, but we joined the YWCA on a whim a few years ago. We had a big turn around in our health in the first year and that mostly is thanks to the support and friendliness of the staff and members of the YWCA.
The staff is all incredibly friendly and helpful. The gym itself is well equipped. No big frills, but I’ve almost never waited for a machine I wanted, and they have a solar heated pool. From the moment we joined, the gym felt very inclusive. There’s no pressure, everyone there is just doing their thing to be in the best health they can be in.
Classes can be tough to get to if you have a schedule that doesn’t permit for things before 5pm, although the ones I’ve been to have all been fantastic. Again, never any pressure, follow along as best you can and never any judgement. I’ve been to cycling, zumba and body combat and I really enjoyed them all.
Best of all, your membership helps the YWCA provide programs for the community that are very needed. Low cost childcare, support for young mothers, etc. Their mission statement is «YWCA is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.» How can you beat that for a gym?!

First of all they just rock for their «Stand Against Racism.» Great community center and indoor pool is great. They have family swims from 4:15 — 6:00. Not cheap as an adult and child was $ 20 for non members.

The YWCA is simply awesome. I love working out in the gym and all the staff are so supportive. Great classes and programs.
