I don’t know why in the world anyone would go back to this place? The only good things were the lime chicken and Pico de Gallo. Black beans were extremely salty, rice was very dry, all salsas were sub-par. The pineapple salsa-the pineapples were clearly from a can. Guacamole had no flavor. When they put the burrito together, they don’t even mix the ingredients which leads to huge bites of just lettuce or cheese or whatnot. I rather pay a few bucks more and go to any of the papas and beer restaurants. First and last visit. Also, cleanliness was definitely lacking.

Shame. The place used to be great, but now it’s just dirty. In fact, for the first time ever, I checked an inspection grade(93.5 in Jan.). I don’t know why there are 14 citations where no points were deducted. Salsa bar was disgusting, and the food was just meh. Sorry guys; I won’t be back. Oh yes, I only wanted water with my to-go burrito. They gave me a small plastic cup, and I asked if it had a lid… you know, because it’s To-Go. No, but I could have a different cup. Wait, what? I didn’t order a soda. No, that’s the charge for the CUP. So the soda’s free, but the cup is like a buck-fitty. No thank you.

AMAZING burritos and queso. The only reason I am not giving them a 5-star rating is because the cleanliness of this institution is lacking. I enjoy being in seemingly clean business environments, especially where I’m purchasing food. Urban Burrito does not necessarily meet those standards, but the prices and food outweigh that drawback. Great prices for massive burritos!

Warning: Structurally compromised burritos, be prepared to tackle with a fork or you’ll end up wearing most of your meal.

PLEASEBLENDYOURPINEAPPLESALSA. Learn from Flaming Amy’s in Wilmington, they are an institution with their salsas. Otherwise, you guys are great. Jerk chicken burrito is my fave. Salad is great. I am team Urban burrito on the Neo/Urban Burrito fight.

No more…, after being a staple for 10 years Urban being my go to place, the last few visit have proven to me that it no longer cares what it puts out. Last night it was after 7, not busy and there was not a clean table to be found. Ordered the chili and salad combo, the chilli was beans not chilli and barely room temperature. My friend ordered the combo of some chicken soup and salad, soup was inedible, way oversalted and left uneaten. Their soups are not made on site and are always oversalted as a heads up, I gave up ordering them years ago. overall the place looked totally unkept, there was a booth that looked liked a homeless person left their stuff there, everything looked dirty, was afraid to use the restrooms, even the guy behind the register looked like he hadn’t bathed in days. I felt like I needed a shower when I got home. Too bad, need to find a new goto place.

My favorite burrito place of all burrito places ever in the history of burrito places. The food is delicious. I have never had anything bad there. The queso is delicious! The staff is super friendly. The location is convenient. I started eating there when I attended UNCA and I have loved it every since. The owner is super nice. :).

There are many burrito options in this town. There’s this one, Urban Burrito, Mamacita’s…basically the bottom line is that you have no reason to ever go to Chipotle. So don’t. As far as the local places, to be honest I can’t tell much difference between the various places. I went in here last night and got me a jerk tofu burrito with some chips on the side for $ 6. It was delicious and plenty filling for a dinner, no question. If I’m in N AVL, it’s going to be my first stop for a quick dinner. The salsa bar is probably one of the better ones around, and their queso is fantastic. Their rice is also my favorite. This wasn’t a very entertaining review was it? Well, burritos are serious business.

Great place I love it every time I come here. The staff is great and it has a moes feel but more down home and laid back. Love the salsas and the huge burritos. Everything here is worth trying and loving.

So bad! My «guacamole» was a piece of avocado with skin still on and it did not taste fresh. Burrito instantly fell apart and was bland in taste.

4 stars if we’re talking per dollar. $ 5.50 for 2 items and a drink can’t be beat. I’m sure this place stays packed with the college crowd. An overfilled tostada, a side salad, and a drink for less than $ 6 out the door. As long as its edible(which it is), I’m down. The fiesta chicken salad is pretty good. Similar to Wendy’s asian chicken salad. Not much else to say about this place. A cool view from the porch and great ice cream down stairs.

Stopped here for lunch today after our hotel had recommended it as a must stop. Delicious. We got beef tacos and also an order of queso and chips. While the queso was not spicy, it was delicious. The tacos were also very good. Would definitely stop here again

If you want an ‘American’ burrito this is your shop. The ingredients tasted less than Mexican and perhaps even out of a can.

When I moved to asheville I was saddened to leave my beloved California style burrito bar, but having found urban I once again can enjoy a quality burrito. Their fish burrito is one of the most delicious burritos I have eaten, add some pineapple in there and it’s out of this world. With their daily salsa choices and clean bright seating area, I’ll definitely be back many more times.

Decent burritos, tasty salsa, reasonable prices. Rice, both kinds of beans, veggie chili are all vegan. Plus jerk tofu. Chips were stale at the end of the day. Upstairs from The Hop, and you get 10% off there with UB receipt. Easy parking and plenty of seating.

Yummy food!!! Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. I thought with so many items on menu they ought to things wrong. I am glad I was wrong!!! Pineapple salsa is amazing. So is their quesadilla and the bowl(forgot what it’s called). The staff was very friendly too.

This place serves mission style burritos. And my thoughts? In Asheville? Ummm. Yes. I think this place served my appetite and hunger very well. Kind of like a Chipotle. Nothing really exciting to me though, it doesn’t top the original mission style burritos i’ve had but I can’t say anything bad about this place. It was very chilled and served good food. Overall, I would come back here if I’m in town and close.

Not a great meal… I wish it was… because it is such a simple pick it up and take it home idea. But again and again, the meal is bland and my taste buds are bored. As a chips & salsa snob… this gets a 2 star. Easy pickup, but keep your expectations low.
