Pro Nails

I decided to try Pro Nails after I wasn’t satisfied with Lee Spa in the mall. My first visit here was awesome. A male tech did my fill in and my nails were perfect. I had even had an accident with one nail and it was bruised. He removed the old acrylic and redid my nail, taking extra care and asking me if it was hurting or anything like that. He was very gentle and really nice.
Given my great experience, I returned. He was not working so I was directed to a girl who I had seen practicing during my previous visit. I was a little nervous already since I was unsure how experienced she was. She was a bit unorganized, like she wasn’t sure what step was next. As someone who gets her nails done regularly, I know what to expect.
I told her I wanted them a little shorter, but still in a pointed shape. Rather than use her machine to do the trick (which is usually what the techs do), she cut them down with nail clippers. No big deal. But then as she was shaping them, I realized they weren’t in the shape I like. She said not to worry she would shape them after she added acrylic.
She began to grind down the old acrylic, paying no attention to the fact that she was scraping my cuticles. She started layering on new acrylic. Way too much new acrylic. Some of my nails are much thicker than others, and some are much thicker on one side or the other. She was also very forceful and awkward holding up each one of my fingers in a strange position.
And she never did shape them the way I asked. The polish is very thick and uneven as well. I came in with long pointed nails and left with short, lumpy, rounded nails. And it took about an hour and a half.
This isn’t necessarily a review of the entire salon, just the one tech. Due to the inconsistency of service I’ve received, I won’t be returning. Plus, they are relocating to inside wal mart. So that alone makes me not want to go back. I wish I could leave a better review since my first visit was so awesome, but I simply can’t overlook the horrible second visit.

Terrific customer service and a hidden gem! Having just moved here from Florida, I was in need of a great nail place and I happened to walk into this place right at closing time. When I asked if they were closed, she asked what I needed and I stated a full set. She said they could still see me. I was very impressed with her courteousness.
She asked a gentleman to work on my nails while she finished up a pedicure. I made the mistake of asking for gellac nails instead of gel nails and half way through realized it wasn’t what I wanted. The owner immediately begin soaking my nails and started all over to correct the problem. I was so impressed!
She went out of her way to ensure that I was comfortable and satisfied. The level of professionalism and quality went above and beyond my expectations! I will definitely be returning and would highly recommend them to anyone!
