I stopped in to buy a belt and I’m now a customer for life. I’m overweight and shopping for clothes is never that fun, especially belts. However, the staff who helped me (Leah and Andy) made me feel relaxed and welcomed. They helped me pick a belt, normal brass buckle, and a Duncan Laurie designed brass buckle.
The quality of the belt and buckle’s is excellent. The belt is just starting to break in and I expect it will last for many years.
Based on the quality of the goods purchased and the expert and welcoming staff I will be back again. If you need leather goods or a cool belt buckle I highly suggest stopping by Paul Tayler Custom Sandals & Belts in Asheville, NC.

Great selection of belt buckles and belts, many at pretty decent prices. Need a leather belt in a different color? They probably have it here. Custom made sandals, though those seemed rather spendy. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Stopped in while waiting for a table at easy girl eatery. Must of been meant to be… I found a black leather bracelet that I have wanted for a long time. They even customized it for me. All for a very reasonable price. And now I have something local. Cool stuff.

I was turned on to a belt buckle maker named Tech Ether here. I don’t know if that was the maker’s name or a business but they are beautiful pieces of art. I really enjoyed working with the staff there to make my belt which is now the most favorite article of clothing I own. I made a collage of the two buckles in the photo.

Baby shoes, hand made with upholstery leather scraps. How ‘green’ is that?!? And they can make custom size based on baby foot (drawn on paper). Beautiful colors and designs.

I didn’t check out their sandals but they do have a great collection of belt buckles. Little bit of everything and a lot of vintage ones. Very helpful staff too. They’ll cut belts for you while you wait as well.
