This is an amazing beer and wine store with an emphasis on the community, outreach and education. They host loads of events to help you perfect the craft and have an incredible selection. Anything they don’t have they will find for you and special order. The shop is owned by Asheville locals who care about their customers and it really shows. I love this place so much, cannot recommend highly enough!

This is one of the coolest beer shops I’ve been in. Not only do the have a great selection of brews and wine, it’s also an excellent homebrew shop. They also have supplies for winemaking. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable and they host homebrew classes from time to time. They have a selection of single bottles you can sip while you shop and have 2 – 3 taps running if you’re craving something on draft. While we were there they had a wine tasting going on and it seems this is a constant event with both beer and wine. They also have a cool, yet small selection of glassware, books, and other goodies.

When I first visited Hops and Vines, I expected to find a top-​notch beer supply store, but what I didn’t expect was to find such a great selection of beer and wine. This place is a little more expensive than Asheville Brewing Supply, but their selection and knowledge make it worth the extra money.

I came to Hops and Vines while I was in Asheville over Labor Day, and I’m really glad I found this place. Very cool, laid-​back place.
They’ve got a pretty good selection of beer. Not great, but quite good. I’ve gone through a remarkable number of beers available in NC stores, and I was able to find some cool and interesting things there, including a couple local brews I hadn’t had. That, in and of itself, was remarkably awesome.
One thing I really appreciated was the wireless. They have wireless there, but it’s password-​protected. I asked for the PW, and they said they weren’t sure. But, unlike so many other places, they actually called someone and got the PW for me. Which was super cool of them.
Next time I’m back, I’ll totally go back. High-​five to them.

Great beer and wine store. Also, of course, a place to get beer and wine making supplies. I like to check in here as they have a great selection of craft beers… not quite what Bruisin Ale’s has… but great selection. They even have growlers of local craft beers. Prices a a bit better from what I can tell than Bruisin Ales. They also have wine, Bruisin Ales does not.

Another great find in Asheville! We cruised by here Friday afternoon to buy some beer and arrived just as they were doing their weekly beer tasting. Cool. Nothing like free beer. It’s a small place located on the outskirts of downtown, there’s a gravel lot behind the building to park in if you can’t find a place on the street.
Inside, beer, wine, glassware, brewing supplies, all the goodies you want and need, along with growlers of fresh local beer already in the coolers. Very cool. I picked up a few beers and glasses for my collection, pricing was fair from my experience and everyone was very friendly.

This is great homebrew supply store and they also have a nice selection of hard to find beer and wine. Alex’s recipes are some of the best I’ve tried and have gotten me many compliments on my beer.
