Good beer and great music. Love the cozy atmosphere, off the beaten path feel. Would definitely return.

Best fried pickles around! And $ 4 mimosas on Sundays! What more can you ask for? This place isn’t anything fancy but it’s a great low key spot to stop in for a drink or a bite. Our server was really sweet. I will definitely be going back.

Great fresh food! A lot of vegan options and a few gluten free as well. They offer one cider, which is also great for those who have to drink gluten free. Ambiance is intimate and dark, like a bar. Highly recommend!

Good, not great overall. They make nearly all food from scratch so a certain level of appreciation goes in there. The wings were really good but the personal calzone was just«meh.» The beer selection is ok. No bud light or anything like that on draft, which is nice, but a lot of really famous craft beers. Not a lot of originality. Atmosphere is cozy, bar type with football on– no complaints there. The wait staff did their job but in as few words as possible and only after our drinks were empty for several minutes.

First stop when getting into town for lunch with kids aging from 6 – 15. First of all, the food here is awesome; it’s a relatively straightforward menu but even for basics, it is prepared very innovatively. We started with ashville’s best wings, which had an awesome coating that you didn’t need the ranch dressing on the side. They are«whole» wings so quite big and you have to break apart. We sampled several burgers, which everyone enjoyed the unique char on them. Definitely get the the pita chips as a side with beer cheese dip. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with caramelized apples, goat cheese and bacon that was grilled like a panini. It was fantastic. Also had the Mac and cheese which was excellent. Finally, one per plain in party had a jalapeño Mac brat that was hard to eat because the Mac and cheese was falling out but quite tasty. It’s not a brewpub in that they don’t have their own beer but decent variety of local beers Deserves 4.5 stars, held off from 5 due to slightly slow service from bartender /server. Not in a bad way, just relaxed. Highly recommend!

Sooooo freaking good. after a day hiking this meal was spot on. The Mac and cheese is off the chain. It’s perfectly cheesy with the good stuff and has just bit of a kick to it. The scallions are just the perfect finishing move to being a fresh green to the cheesy savory goodness. And don’t forget to add bacon. The prosciutto panini is absolutely the go to for a hot melty sandwich, seriously getting this again. the sandwich came with a side of chips that are my absolute favorite, kind of like fried wontons. Amazing find, great beer and service. Top shelf Asheville!

First off, our waitress was awesome. Good selection of craft beer on tap. The brat with mac & cheese and jalapeños was delicious. The garlic wings were just OK. Fine, but not really noteworthy(menu said they wrre award winning). My order was missing salt for sure, but they were fine. LOVE that this place serves food until 2am most days. We got into town late and didn’t want to rush a place that closed at 9 or 10.

Green Bay Packers bar! If you want to come in for a quiet dinner with your family on Sunday, make sure the Packers aren’t playing, because this place will be packed(no pun intended) with fans in drunken revelry. I’ve seen some classic Packers games here, including the Raiders game last night. They have always had quality beers on tap, as with any Asheville establishment, but I think the food is even better this year than it was last year. They call their wings the best in Asheville, and I haven’t had too many other Asheville wings, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were correct. Perfectly crispy and flavorful skin. Our other go-to is the excellent artichoke dip. I can’t review too many entrees, since we always just get a bunch of appetizers and a sandwich or two to share as a family. If you want a place with good beer, good food, and very friendly staff, this is a place worth checking out. If you’re a Packers fan, Foggy Mountain BrewPub is a must go on gameday. Just get there 30 – 45 minutes before the game if you want a table, and settle in for a fun 4 hours.

This is a whole in the hole bar and well worth the walk over there. So the heathen in me decided wings, cider, and fried food was for dinner last night. First the cider was brewed locally and it was very very crisp. This cider tasted like a sour cider, which was very good. Onto to the fried pickles. OMG. These were the best fried pickles I have ever eaten. If you come here you need to order them. These fried pickles are not the typical dill pickle chips that most restaurants use. No. This place uses the spears and the taste shows in excellence. So about the wings. I can see why these were voted the best wings in Asheville. These wings were decadent. Also you get the whole wing. Unlike other places I have been that boasted jumbo wings, the Foggy Mountain actually delivers on their promise. I also recommend getting the blue cheese sauce. It’s house made and you can definitely taste the quality in it. My boyfriend ordered the jalapeño brat mac and cheese sandwich and he loved it. I tried one of house made pita chips that came with it. Those were also delicious. So if you don’t like fried pickles, the put chips are a great option too. The staff was very nice and answered all questions about local brews and recommended items to us that they thought we would like. There is a children’s menu, and it’s pretty loud in there so kids should be okay. I would not bring a baby as it might be too loud for them, but older kids sure.

We were going to another bar when we heard the sound Bluegrass in the air so we naturally wandered in and discovered a rare gem of a bar. The band was amazing, prices were good and the service was southern! Excuse me, I’ve gotta join the hoedown…

One of the best late night pubs in downtown! Went at 1:00AM and had some brews and a chicken gyro(full menu at 1:00AM? SOLD!) Met some awesome folk and the bar. Great atmosphere, pleasant service, and always amazing food. Returning customer :)

In a place chock full of beer shops and great restaurants, this one is another good option. My wife and I ordered the chicken banh mi wrap and the cheesy jalapeño brat. Really interesting, both. The homemade chips with cheese dip was a standout, though I do wish the chips and dip had been hot instead of luke warm. They have a small but high quality beer selection, featuring both local brews and top notch national selection(barrel aged founders backwoods bastard!).

It was the only place we could find for food close to our hotel at 1am. We ordered a little bit of everything: hummus, chicken wings, truffle fries, burgers. It was all delicious. The only cons I have are that the bathrooms were disgusting and there was a couple banging in the parking lot, but again, it was 1am. I can’t really fault the establishment for petty things like that. It’s not in a sketch part of town either. Definitely check them out.

Loved this spot and happened upon it from reviews on here. Chill atmosphere and good selection of beers and food. We had a few ales and a stout. We ordered the wings(mild), the foggy mountain salad(I think that’s what it was called) and a prosciutto panini. Everything was amazing. The wings were large and a good portion for the price. The salad was amazing(the cucumbers had a light pickling and we adored those) and the prosciutto panini was great with honey glazed pears. The house made chips were awesome(their dipping sauce was great). Most of all, the service was SUPERB. Our server, who doubled as the bartender was so helpful and attentive. He gave us recommendations on events and areas to check out(without our asking), which we loved. Plus he made sure our orders were up to our liking and that we were satisfied with our beer selections. Loved him. Overall a great experience. Would definitely check this place out.

Friends and I had some brews and shots at the Foggy Mountain BrewPup(often called Foggy Bottoms) tucked off the main drags on Church Street. We didn’t try the food, but the beer was cold, service friendly and music good.

Foggy Mountain Brew Pub is a perfect example of why I LOVE eating in Asheville! Arrived late in the evening for a long weekend vacation. Unfortunately, many of the restaurants close at 9pm or 10pm on a Thursday. So, options seemed limited and I have to admit this Pub wasn’t my first choice. However, I was more than pleasantly surprised by my experience. The staff was super nice and we sat where we wanted. Also, they have live music every Wednesday through Saturday night(various artists and genres according to the bartender). The band this evening, Siamese Jazz Club, was On Fire!!! Which definitely helped kick off the vacation on the right foot. More importantly, the food was extremely good and not your usual bar/pub fare. They had some vegetarian and other healthy-ish dishes – Personally, I 100% appreciated that since I was eating at 11:00 at night!!! I ordered the Foggy Mountain Salad, which comes with Greens, Grilled Chicken, Carrots, Dried Cranberries, Bleu Cheese, Cucumbers and Almonds. Quite a lot of ingredients and they all blended perfectly! One of my better salads in awhile… would absolutely order that again. We also had Spinach and Artichoke dip, and Asparagus. My husband raved about the Wings, which did look pretty awesome(and apparently won a local«Best Wings» contest). Overall, I was diggin’ Foggy Mountain and the music elevated the entire evening. Will certainly be back… Happy Eating!

I had the grilled chicken sandwich and it was delicious! My husband had the burger and fries and it was awesome too. They have some awesome craft beers as well as craft cocktails. I had the«sage it isn’t so»(gin, sage, lemon, ginger simple syrup and orange) and it was amazing! Will be back if we’re ever in Asheville again.

My friend and I came here because we wanted to grab a drink and an appetizer before heading out for the night. We went on a Monday and the place was pretty empty, except for which looked like a few regulars. We sat down, and the bartender who doubled as a server came and took care of us. They have a pretty good beer selection and really good prices. On Mondays they have $ 3 drafts of select beers, which is a price you can’t beat for a really good craft beer. My friend also ordered the spinach artichoke dip which was amazing. The reason I gave it 5 stars instead of 4 is because the bartender Andrew. We told him we were from out of town, and gave us really great suggestions of things we could do. Most locals hate the thought of tourists, but he was very nice and personable, and his suggestions were great!

Today we had lunch here at the Foggy Mountain Brew Pub. We passed a lot of restaurants that were crowded and basically places you ordered your food and then went and hoped to find an empty seat. Found this place on Unilocal thankfully. It is hidden down a side street. The special was Two Taco Tuesday. My husband and I both ordered the tacos with Chicken. The ingredients were so fresh and delicious! And inexpensive! The service was fast and friendly and the Pub was clean. 5 stars from us!

Maybe it’s because I came on a Tuesday. Or because I’m here by myself on a business trip. Or that it’s got a «locals only» vibe going on. But I can’t bring myself to give it a high score. That said, my server, a cute blonde with a nose ring, was very sweet. She made recommendations and helped me decide on another beer, since they’re out of IPA. I had the grilled chicken sandwich, which I enjoyed, once I figured out how to eat it. I’d go with better bread that doesn’t fall apart when you pick it up. Also, match up the chicken breast, so it’s not a baseball in a field of wet bread, apples and not enough goat cheese. The beer cheese dip with chips was good, but dip it in the salsa if you want something special. Not planning to return, but I might reconsider if I’m in town closer to the weekend.
