Builders Firstsource

We’ve been working on a small home project. Most of our supplies were bought at Home Depot, until I hit a snag and couldn’t find what I needed at any of the usual suspects for DIY projects.
I called up Builders FirstSource desperate, thinking that they only supply to contractors, but to my joy, they sell to DIYers too. They had what I needed (6″ flashing strip) and they sold the concrete anchors I needed individually which saved me from having to buy a box of 100 when I only needed a few.
A major plus for me with anything like construction, car repair, etc is when I’m not treated like a delicate little lady who doesn’t know what we’re talking about. I’ve experienced more than my fair share of that treatment. Men who ask if my husband is around so he can make the decision. Builders FirstSource wasn’t like that at all. They treated me like I knew what I was doing and helpfully answered any questions I had.
I’ll definitely be coming back when I need more materials for future projects.
