BT’s Burger Joint

This place was terrible… the turkey burger was dry and had no flavor… the whole basket of food came out cold… they said it was hand pattied but tasted frozen… I will not even give it a second chance… would rather spend money at five guys… the manager was awesome and comped the food… that was real «stand up»!! That’s why they get 3 install of 1 star…

I’ve been here a couple times before when it was newer… and better, as I recall.
First, the lady at the register was so sweet, knowledgeable, and friendly. Really. And so was the guy who brought my food to the table. I decided to order the mouth-​watering burger pictured on the wall next to the register. Ooops, stock photo — not gonna get it.
OK then I’ll just have the American Burger. Yes it was cooked to temp. I like the char-​grilled taste. I took the tomato out because, 1) the entire sandwich fell apart when I tried to take a bite, and 2) I had to see if it was green. Nope just really unripe.
I stopped eating flavorless, individually wrapped yellow cheese slices a few decades ago. ‘Nuff said on that.
The fries were stale and over-​seasoned. The top of the bun was shiny, and I wondered why. I rubbed it to see if it was as slippery as it looked.
Speaking of slippery, why are the floors so slippery? It’s been a while, but as soon as I slipped, I remembered that’s the way they were before, too. I don’t usually slip in Danskos.
I was disappointed when I know you’ve done so much better. The kiddos like your joint, and the food came out pretty quickly, so we’ll probably come back… not sure when, though…

Apparently they do have regular fries? It’s crossed off the menu, but they still have them.

Bad experience here today! Very poor service. Out of lettuce and the cashier did not know the menu. I would avoid this place.

First time at this place and it was delicious! Restaurant itself was visually appealing. Food was yummy. I would definitely recommend it!

This is basically the south side version of what you can find in many other places around town (BurgerWorx, Farm Burger, etc.) A good, quick burger with plenty of options for toppings, some decent fries, and probably a milkshake.
The service is usually pretty quick, and we’ve never had a problem finding a seat. I’ve always been happy with the food, as well.

Yum, Yum Yum! Love these burgers. Nice to sit out on the patio with a good burger and fries. They also have discounts for nearby residents.

Like 5 Guys? Allergic to peanuts? BT’s is just the place for you only $ 3 – 5 more per person.
Everything at BT’s is a la carte, the only thing included is the toppings and even those are limited.
I don’t understand the burger craze. If you call yourself a custom burger why don’t you cook it the way I like it? They asked how I wanted it cooked and I told them medium rare but was given well done.
My Mom and I ordered 2 American burgers with a side of tots. The bun was oversized compared to the burger itself. I ended up taking off the top bun. The burger was half the size of a fast food burger. The tomato, lettuce, onion and pickle was fresh however, I wish they added more than 2 thin slices of each based on the cost of the burger. Its sad when the «free» toppings are bigger than the hamburger itself!
Overall, BT’s is an ok burger but it doesn’t compare to the other pop up burger chains around Asheville.

Burgers, dogs, fries & tatie tots are all good choices. Similar to Boardwalk food. The food is reasonably good for the price. The fries are fresh cut, which is a nice bonus.

This is a nice place from the outside. even after walking inside… still adorbs. When you walk in there are a bunch of menus to choose from. There’s even one at the counter where you order in case you forgot something or happen to see something else you’d like to add or maybe change.
The guy who took our order was the friendliest person I’d ever met. He knew the menu and helped us accordingly. After ordering, you are given a number & find a seat you’d like then they bring out the food to you.
Once our food came, the first thing I noticed was my burger didn’t have the bacon on it — which coated extra of course — so, I was bummed. I had to ask for the bacon then they brought me a plate of bacon without remaking my burger. So, waiting for the bacon made my burger less than hot. I wasn’t too happy.
Next, the grilled cheese I ordered was mediocre. I absolutely LOVE a grilled cheese sandwich, so I got one since it was on Texas toast. Eh… plain. No biggie. I was excited for the half and half fries and onion rings we ordered… NASTY! The fries had to be the most bland fries I have ever tasted. These onion rings had so much breading, if I wasn’t the one who ordered them I wouldn’t have known what they were supposed to be.
Overall, the best tasting thing was my orange soda, so I wasn’t happy in the least bit. I will not be returning. Hopefully they get some seasoning soon. $ 33… gone forever.

Lacks seasoning.
The burger meat is just meat. The fries are just fried potatoes. The ketchup is sweetened.
Overall the food is adequate as long as you add salt and pepper to the burger. Add malt vinegar and salt and pepper to the taters. And avoid the ketchup.
I would rather drive over to French Fryz for a burger. Much tastier food.

Really nice place. Food is always really good for a burger place.
Ordered medium once and got rare, but hey, it was really good. That’s the only time they messed up in the 5 times I’ve been there.
If the price would go down a bit I’d come in more.

Excellent Burgers, and you must order their sweet potato fries!
Very tasty, perfectly cooked just as I order it. They also have great shakes.

What’s to like?
Pretzel buns, customization and lots of topping and sauce options. Oh and super friendly service.
Their food is solid but nothing to go out of your way to have. Side salad was a sad sad side salad. Get a burger instead. Onion rings were pipping hot.
Bathrooms were actually kinda gross and significantly tainted our experience.

This restaurant is great. The staff is friendly, the food is amazing. I had a bacon cheeseburger on a pretzel bun. It was delicious! Tater tots and sweet potato fries were crispy and really, really good, too. We just parked and walked around for somewhere to eat… I am glad we ended up here.

I really enjoyed my burger here; however, I am not a fan of the service. I order sides and drinks with my burger and my sides came out before my drinks. I would also have to go into the establishment from the outside eating and request condiments that I originally ordered with my meal. If the service was to improve, I think that the place would be a wonderful establishment to eat at.

I was pleasantly surprised by BTs. I went not for a burger but for a salad. You can make your own salad to order (multiple kinds of lettuce and then you can choose up to six toppings). I believe all meat was extra, but I didn’t add any. You can make a great vegetarian or vegan salad here for less than 10.00.
Service was very friendly, and my salad came out in a very reasonable amount of time. It was a good size, and I felt like I got my money’s worth. I managed to eat a little more than half of it, and I was starving!
The ratio of toppings to lettuce was excellent. It was just the right amount. I got plenty of each topping I requested, I also had my dressing on the side and received two containers which was plenty.
My only complaint is that the lettuce was super cold. It was almost a little uncomfortable to eat. If they can address this one issue, they definitely are a great place to go get a salad.

Three stars because the food was great but the service/​cleanliness of the establishment was subpar.
Man, was my build your own burger fannnntastic. However, it came out before my beer! I had to keep running inside to check for my beer and my moms wine. All the outside tables had empty ketchup bottles too.
The bathroom was pretty messy and there wasn’t any TP or soap.

BT’s is really great for what it is self-​proclaimed to be, a burger joint. The service was quick, the music good, and the food exceptional. My burger was superb, cooked a perfect medium rare. Onion rings were my side and I thoroughly enjoyed the package — All at a pretty good value!

Cool place. I had the chicken burger with onions, American cheese, mushrooms and ketchup. I ordered avacado also but it was left off the sandwich. No worries though, it was awesome even without it. The fries were good quality as well as the service. Overall, great place.
