I feel guilty writing a negative review for a local business, but I was extremely underwhelmed by my experience at 9round. I come from a crossfit background and was drawn to the flexible times, later hours, and 30 minute workout so I tried a free workout. The atmosphere was very low energy (small, dim lights, bad music). I’m sure the workout would be harder once I got better at the boxing moves, but in all honesty, I did not even work up a sweat even though I was giving it good effort. My biggest issue was that the trainer sat at his computer/was texting during the rounds instead of giving me feedback and coaching me during the rounds. Wanted this to work, but definitely will be going back to crossfit!

9Round provides one of the most efficient and effective workouts. They combine HIIT (high-intensity interval training) with Kickboxing and Boxing techniques. What makes 9round uniques, is it’s 9 stations that allow users to workout as hard or as easy as they want to. It is also one of the most pressure-less environments. If you are thinking about it, consider contacting them for a free class. Rounds start every few minutes and you get a fantastic work out in about 30min. I enjoy this location because of it’s proximity to Downtown Asheville.

9Round offers a challenging and fun workout that never gets old because it’s different every day. I love it because I can fit it into my busy lifestyle. 30 minutes of intense cardio with a caring coach to guide you every step of the way. No set schedule. Your 30 minutes starts when you need it to. Fantastic for every fitness level. Definitely a thumbs up!
