It was a cold day outside and I just finished my workout. Phở came to mind and this place popped up near me. So glad I went. It was practically empty inside but service was fast and efficient as well as quiet and peaceful. Since I had just finished my workout I was starving so I ordered the roll sampler AND a large phở 13 with extra fatty brisket. The roll sampler has one of every roll. Surprisingly the bean sprout roll was very tasty and I thought that would be the worst one. The phở was awesome, I added duck sauce, the spicy chili stuff, and sriracha sauce. I know I’m not supposed to add sriracha traditionally speaking but it’s my damn phở and I’ll do what I want with it! The perfect meal for such a cold day. I was so full afterwards but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ll be back when I have that phở craving again!

I am changing my star to 3. Few months ago I went to have phở with my mom on a weekday. We were one of the only two tables there. Ordered garden rolls as usual which was fine, but when we got our side plate of phở veggies and herbs for our phở I immediately noticed the wilted browned bean sprouts. I called over our server and asked him to please give us fresh bean sprouts. He gave a FINE type of looked, didn’t take the bean sprouts away but turned his back went headed to kitchen, came right back saying they do not have any other bean sprouts. WHAT ?! You are a PHO restaurant, you MUST have fresh bean sprouts !! You cannot serve your customers bean sprouts that are old and slimy. We ate our phở without bean sprouts and nobody ever checked in on us nor apologize for the bean sprouts. Server didn’t seem to care and that made it worse. Few weeks ago, we went to The Phở to give it another chance. This time with my husband and 3 of our 4 boys. Garden rolls were fine but the crispy rolls were slightly burnt and overdone. The nouc nom severed with the rolls were just measly few drops in the sauce dish. My family got the grilled pork and crispy tofu with rice, pork was done nicely, crispy tofu was a bit over fried though. My large house special phở was good but it needed a bigger bowl to house more broth. I love phở and happy to see another Phở restaurant open, the food is good overall, few areas for improvement but the service needs work ! By the way ~ The owner sat at a table in the corner having a beer by himself on the computer. He didn’t walk around to make sure if guests were ok nor even looked up from his computer to see how the business was. I found that to be very unprofessional.

Best portion size I’ve had out of all the phở places I’ve been to. The broth is good too. The bun cha gio is good but I was a bit surprised that instead of fried shallots as a topping(as I’ve seen at other Vietnamese restaurants), the topping was fried garlic. It was a bit much for me.

This place is an authentic Vietnamese food. Not one for those knock off Chinese wanna be Vietnamese joint. Phở is great & spring roll just as good.

Delicious. One of the best phở broth in NOVA. The place is clean and the service is good. Get the egg rolls with your phở order. It will get your appetite going.

I see this place everytime I drive by Ashburn Village yet never stopped by. Could it be a gem of a place? Can’t know unless you try it! The service first was quite slow. The décor was very nice. The Lazy Susan has all the utensils and condements you would need for your typical Vietnamese food(Sriracha, Hoisin sauce, chili paste). We always order the spring rolls so we got 2 of those cause our toddler loves spring rolls. With every Vietnamese restaurant, my wife orders the Chicken Phở and I always order the Grilled Lemongrass Beef with Rice. After 10 minutes, our spring rolls arrived with fish sauce. It was piping hot and crispy. The pickled carrots were a hit too! While we were still eating the spring rolls, our food arrived. Timing is important so this was a fail. Anyway, my plate of beef and rice arrived with knife and fork, fish sauce and also a bowl of beef broth! Bonus! Unfortunately, there was no depth of flavor to the phở broth like other Phở restaurants. It just wasn’t great. More uneventful. The portion of rice and beef was generous. However, the beef was rolled and was dry. It also didnt have that lemongrass flavor other places have but had that char flavor. I had to either dunk the beef in fish sauce or the hoisin/chili paste mixture. My wife said her chicken phở was flavorless and had too much 5 spice taste to it. The pieces of chicken were dry too! Overall, the food was below average and the service was kind of too! Just head next door to Ashburn Pub and get yourself some Beaver Wings. We won’t be coming here anymore. Disappointed.

Food was okay and service was horrible. First of all they got our order wrong. As we were eating a ROACH was climbing on the wall and went behind a painting. We called the waiter over and he pretended to not see the roach behind the painting even though it was right in front of him. After all of this our meal was ruined and we still had to pay full price even though there was a ROACH! We will not be returning here.

I first went to this place with my friend earlier this year in January and I had no idea what to expect. I walked into this place and the ambience was good, but the décor was slightly gaudy. That being said, despite the interesting décor, the food was phenomenal! I love just about every Asian food, but especially Vietnamese food. It’s a features the typical Viet food, Phó(Beef Noodle Soup), Bún(Known as the dry phó/vermicelli dish), as well as rice dishes, and it also includes a nice assortment of smoothies, Vietnamese coffee etc. I usually get the B5, which is the Deluxe Bún, which features vermicelli, julienned vegetables like carrots and cucumbers, peanuts, beansprouts, an egg roll, and of course grilled chicken, beef and pork. The prices are very reasonable for a Vietnamese place and it’s a great value. Definitely worth a visit!

Ashburn is a bit low on ethic cuisine. This place has some great options! I feel like the pots have gotten more flavor in them since the grand opening. The vermicelli dishes are delish! Great quick take out!

Food was great and our server was good. The vietnamese coffee I had was a bit too sweet for my liking though but my fault for ordering it(considering it stated that there was condensed milk in it). The Phở was really tasty. Next time I’m going to try the Phở Ga.

Not sure we’ll be back. My daughter ordered pork chop over rice and a salad was also on the plate. Pork chop was cold and we sent it back. I heard the microwave door slam and just knew that they left the salad on the plate as well. Sure enough the plate cane back with a warm chop but hot salad. I asked for another salad which they promptly brought. My husband ordered the phở and it was warm with a chunk of hard noodles he had to break apart. The hot tea we ordered was not hot but cool so we didn’t drink it. My dish was very good, noodles in a large bowl with beef, pork and chicken. There are to many restaurants like this in the area so we will go back to them. We went here because it was in our backyard, oh well.

Yes yes yes!!! So good! Even better than it’s brother restaurant Phở Royal in Leesburg. I say that bc the service was on point. I say that bc Phở Royal’s service suffers when the restaurant is busy. My co-workers and I went there for the first time yesterday. We were excited that it was the«same» restaurant as Phở Royal. We each ordered the vietnamese coffee and the B4. What a great meal! We will definitely come often as our work is just minutes down the road. I know word will get out fast about this restaurant. I’m sure business will blow up. I just hope that the service can keep up…

Disclaimer: I’ve been a very happy patron of the«other» phở restaurant in Herndon for years. So, I was fully prepared to be disappointed — or at least let down — by my first experience at The Phở. I was not. Here’s the short breakdown between the two, with the winner(in my opinion) listed in each category: Cost: the«other»(The Phở is $ 1 more per bowl) Ambiance: The Phở(owned by Phở Royal, so the décor and layout is similar) Service: The Phở(they even refill your water without you having to ask) Selection: The Phở(there are other items besides soup on the menu) and… The Soup: A tie! I like my soup with raw meat on top. The meat was not frozen, but freshly sliced, lean and red!(the broth cooks the thin slices). The broth was tasty, the soup was hot and plentiful, and I even enjoyed the TV entertainment while I ate. Rating this as a tie is actually high praise, because this is the best phở I’ve had next to the«other.» Ever. Finally, as an Ashburn resident, I have to give the commute distance nod to The Phở as well. This doesn’t mean I’m giving up on the«other,» since I’m often in Herndon. but I’m delighted there is now a place I can almost hop down the street to. Welcome to Ashburn, The Phở!

I wanted to like this place! Great reviews so I went… MSG is used in the phở. –1 noodles were frozen type. Yes, the broth is hot but the noodles were still cold. –1 very low amount of meat. I ordered phở dark meat chicken but I got small chunks the«maybe» equaled one flank? I would expect ordering a large bowl…(For $ 4 more) would have received more noodles/meat. Not just more broth. –1 Broth was decent but having that salty taste in your mouth after 20 – 30 minutes eating there means one thing… MSG. Im a bit sensitive to MSG so I couldnt tell if the broth just had some saltiness to it or it was MSG? Unfortunately, it was the latter. I can never rate on service. But mainly its a viet/asian shop… Rating on service is like rating McDonalds on service. You just dont expect waiter service at a place like this.

Food was awesome; service, not so much. I had the chicken phở. The broth was exceedingly flavorful and they offered the usual accoutrement of sauces and herbs to add to the soup. The service was just average, as the waiter only took our order and brought the check. He didn’t ask how the food was or offer additional drinks. I would definitely return and try the brisket next time; it was a popular item at the tables next to us.

Delicious phở, one of the best in the area(and I enjoy phở maybe once every two weeks). Quality meat, flavorful broth. Same owner as Phở Royal. Try the«Che 3 Mau”/Che Ba Mau as a sweet dessert beverage — 3 flavor beans and green jellies in coconut milk syrup. Yum!

New Vietnamese Restaurant in Ashburn. Large selection of soups. Great Beef Noodle soups. I enjoyed my first visit. I am sure it will not be my last. I will come again. Conveniently located off Ashburn Village Boulevard. Next to the Ashburn Pub.
