The place is located next to an auto store in an inconspicuous parking lot. The room is sparsely populated by some elderly countrymen and a lone middle-aged gentleman in the corner. The room is dimly lit and it feels like a scene from an 80s horror film. Everything is checkered it seems. The booths are red and have a red border and white rectangle. The walls are covered in Religious words and more checkers. The tablecloths are checkered. The register has a paper roll to tally math like an old accountant’s register. The girl behind the counter is fairly country and recommends everything. I ordered a few things because this place comes recommended. I want to give them an honest chance. Let me add that this app hides some reviews as «not recommended.» I wonder if mine will be relegated to that status if I end up enjoying this place. They do have an interesting menu. Just step up to the register and order. The nice counter lady brought my food out to me. I walked up to the counter afterwards to request some mayonnaise and she happily obliged. I tried the sausage biscuit first. The texture was strange because it seemed the biscuit was slightly undercooked. It still felt doughy in my mouth, but otherwise it was tasty. The biscuits and gravy suffered a similar ailment and also needed some more seasoning. It was bland. Salt and pepper helped it out a bit. Finally, I tried the omelette. It was a sausage omelette with onions and cheese and bell peppers and fresh tomatoes. It might have had some other ingredients. It was the most satisfying element of my meal. Overall this place has some country charm with slightly-better-than-mediocre breakfast food. I will likely return if I am hungry enough.
