Typically we love this place because it’s great but today I called ahead by over an hour, we were told it may be a 35 min wait even with a call ahead, I said that’s okay we will go somewhere else because we had two small children and two elderly people with us. The hostess then said«no no nevermind, we can accommodate and it will only be 5 – 15 min wait», so I said ok we will come on in. We arrived on time and were told we had to wait between 5 and 35mins. Then 40 mins later we were told they had no idea how long we would have to wait because where they were to seat us «had paid but wasn’t moving». Meanwhile they are seating everyone else around us. Whatever, we were happy to be out of the house and we waited and it wasn’t a big deal, BUT then the hostesses said we were up and the table was being cleared. BUT in actuality this was not the case and over 1 hour into waiting for the table, the family we were waiting onwas allowing their 6 kids to just climb all over the seats, playing iPad games and hanging out since they had already paid before we had even arrived!!! We asked if they could please ask them to be courteous as the restaurant was packed and on a huge wait. The hostess and Manager refused even though it would be completely understandable. As a former waitress and manager of a restaurant this falls under the«acceptable requests». Since we had people from out of town, elderly and and two small children, we didn’t want to sit at separate tables. Why wouldn’t the hostesses just be honest and not waste our time when we were being totally patient the first hour!!! We could have gone somewhere else happily! and had the kids to bed an hour earlier? We obviously let them know how we felt and they seemed to not get the frustration at all and that we were unreasonable, really? Not cool!

I have been living in the Brambleton area for 8 years and this was the first time I ate at the Blue Ridge Grill. I must say that I was extremely pleased and can agree with almost all of the reviews I read. What a great neighborhood restaurant. I actually had the special which was a Sword Fish on top of a bed of sweet potato mash and my husband had the ribs which he said was very good. My 8 year old had the chicken finger adult meal and was pleased as well. We will be coming back more often.

I think his place is a perfect local bar. It has good nightlife and a welcoming atmosphere. I would not pick to come here for a nice dinner date, but I would definitely come here for happy hour with friends. The food is good but not excellent. I like the variety of tap beers and the location. I would definitely recommend coming here and will go here again.

Came here for brunch before a movie. My eggs Benedict was on the world’s smallest English Muffin; Canadian bacon was two microthin slices of salty ham, and half the plate was full of fried potatoes. Slow to refill our drinks, and a drive by request close to the end of our meal about everything coming out alright was somewhat ironic since our waiter’s fly was down. We’ll return… but to the location in Leesburg.

Just had a delicious dinner. Started with lobster bisque that was so good that I ordered one to go. Grilled Mahi Mahi was OK. Wife had chicken piccata and mixed green salad. She very much enjoyed both. She said that the salad was, «light and fresh.» Restaurant is super convenient because it’s next to the movie theater. Wait staff was friendly and food was lightning quick. Thumbs up.

While I LOVE the original location in Leesburg, the Blue Ridge Grill in Ashburn comes up short. I went for happy hour on Friday with a few coworkers and was super disappointed by the slow, sub-par service at the bar. When we finally did get the bartender’s attention after 5 minutes(mind you, the bar was basically empty) and ordered, the employee’s bar-side manner made it feel like he was doing us a favor rather than serving us. We had to verbally call the bartender over 30 minutes later to request food, two orders of fries. The fries required an initial 15 minute wait time and a second reminder to receive. They had been sitting in the kitchen. They were not hot. We, as three women go, are hot, so wtf Blue Ridge? It didn’t have to be like this, we could have been something, but to no avail.

I came here for a light dinner with co-workers earlier in the year and had mainly the basics of what Blue Ridge had to offer: shrimp and chicken tender appetizers for the eight of us to start with, followed by ribs for several of us. While I didn’t give into the peer pressure in trying the ribs, I stuck with a regular grilled chicken sandwich and draft beers. I was doing most of the talking this evening, so I decided to keep my meal light. The meal itself was good, as well as the server. Considering that our table was one of four or five tables that were being served at the time, I expected nothing less than excellent service. Parking at this location can be tricky. There is garaged parking, as well as some spaces in front of the restaurant. However, given the restaurant’s popularity(as well as the stores around it), its recommended to park within the garage and just walk over, especially if within a large group as we were. The décor of Blue Ridge is what you would expect for an Ashburn venue: new and slightly upscale, and not old and crusty at all. Quite comfortable in watching a game here, as well as conducting business luncheons or dinner. Try it out sometime.

Yummm! came for brunch on Sunday(love that it goes til 3! yay for sleeping in!) and I was very impressed with everything. The service was quick and friendly, our server was a doll and good at her job. I tried the white peach sangria to start, it was DELICIOUS and my friend loved her peach bellini. She got a frittata and I got the country breakfast. Her frittata was absolutely enormous and mine was a lot of food as well but I was well warned about that. The country breakfast comes with seasoned chicken(partially fried but not in a terrible way) topped with poached eggs & sausage gravy with home fries. I almost asked for bacon but decided against it and I’m glad I didn’t cuz the home fries tasted like they were cooked with it, delicious! For starters they brought out free little mini-churro looking things, soooo good. We tried the steak & cheese egg rolls for an appetizer cuz we wanted to test the waters for coming back for dinner sometime, they were amazing. My breakfast was awesome. I will say it was expensive, our drinks alone were $ 9.50 but I knew that going in and heard it was worth it, so I have no complaints about it. I agree it was well worth it. Will definitely be back!

Chicken tenders with guacamole to start. Both were on point. The service was good as well, was busy for the time of day that we went but food still came out in a timely manor. Only thing that chapped me a little was that some couple came in behind us in waiting and ended up just sorta taking a booth. It turned out to be Joe Theismann. Oh well.

Great service — Amber BBQ night — $ 15 for full rack of ribs and two sides. Best baked beans ever. Great slaw. Recommend loaded baker.

In rounding down from 3.5, everything was totally fine, and maybe that’s the issue(?) service was good, food was alright, nothing extraordinary or over the top. Lobster bisque was pretty good, ahi tuna salad was ok, tuna wasn’t the best quality. The rolls were my favorite part. Overall I would go back for another try.

3.5 stars Another restaurant from a former Great American Restaurant chef — so upper end of average, but consistent. Love the location, patio is nice. Spinach artichoke dip was yummy. Ribs were falling off the bone and tender.

Blue ridge grill, the hidden gem. I used to go to the one in Leesburg all the time, and now the Ashburn location has been open for a while. It’s closer to my house. Yay. Brentwood salad is my all time favorite there. The corn, avocado, bacon, tomato, cucumber, grilled chicken, and homemade ranch dressing. Hmmm. Yum. I did notice they don’t travel well once the dressing is mixed up with rest of ingredients, but let’s be real, no salad does. My second favorite is the baby back ribs. Perfectly seasoned and prepared ribs that are truly fell-off-the-bone. Perfection. Oh did I mention the happy hour is pretty amazing too? Overall, a five star experience. They do get busy over the weekends, so call ahead is highly recommend if you don’t want to wait 45 mins to a hour to be served.

Halfway decent experience at a half-empty restaurant on a Friday. Really two stars for me. Most of my 10 friends I went with liked their lobster bisque creaminess and the salads were packed with flavor, so three stars for the group. The sandwiches were OK and beefy, too. Kind of expensive for lunch and what you get, though. It’s less expensive to have lunch at a resort! Figure at least $ 20 each. Service was sketchy. We ordered drinks and then sat for 10 minutes. Food came out quickly but we played the«who got the Caesar salad?» and«Who has a cheeseburger?» game with the servers. If you like water, you’ll get a glass but no refill unless you ask for it. They brought some rolls out that were OK, but there were fewer rolls than people. Waiter/bartender was a bit sour. I asked for separate checks and he walked away. When he came back, I asked if we could please have separate checks and he said«Yeah, I heard you already.» I know separate checks for 11 people stinks but he didn’t even run all the credit cards — a helper did. Not sure I’m going back. Brambleton has better options for lunch. They do have a good happy hour, though, if you’re into that sort of thing.

I have been going to Blue Ridge for a couple of years now so I’d like to think I have a pretty good understanding of their food. All the appetizers I’ve tried tasted good especially the spinach artichoke dip, calamari, or steak and cheese rolls which I recently tried for the first time. I usually don’t like to order ribs but the ribs here are the only ones I would ever order. Not only does the meat fall of the bone EVERY single time, the barbecue sauce is amazing and I always ask for extra on the side to dip my fries in. The only bad experience I have had here was the last time I came to Blue Ridge I ordered the ahi tuna salad. I’ve had the ahi tuna stake before, which was delicious by the way, but the salad I’m sad to say I’m not a fan of. The dressing seemed to overpower the tuna and it just wasn’t appetizing to me. Overall, great place. They have a chocolate lava cake filled with gooey caramel sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Wow. The caramel sauce is fantastic! Definitely recommend it.

I came here recently for brunch and really enjoyed it. Given the option between sitting inside or out, we chose to sit on the patio, both options offer ample seating and neither had a wait! When we were first seated, our server offered us all water and asked if we would like lemons(a really nice touch). She brought us out these complimentary French toast sticks(think a funnel cake with cinnamon — yum!) They offer a special menu and their regular menu during brunch hours. I ordered the seared tuna salad, my friend had the fritata and her boyfriend the breakfast burrito. The server specifically asked if I wanted dressing on the salad or on the side(again, major points). The salad was great and had more than enough tuna — it’s always a gamble when ordering a salad. I only eat fish so I didn’t have the opportunity to taste the fritata or the burrito however these were supposed great. The burrito looked awesome, filled with a ton of eggs, stake, and veggies — definitely a cut above your average breakfast burrito. I did try the home fries and these were perfectly cooked, super crispy on the outside and very tender on the inside. I’d definitely recommend this place for brunch. I hear they have a great happy hour as well!

This place is right in the middle of the town center and it seems like a great spot if you have kids. There is a nice patio where you can eat outside and look over at the fountain. I ordered the Ahi tuna salad and the tuna was done perfectly rare! I really enjoyed the flavor of the tuna paired with the mango and sesame dressing. The portions here are pretty big and I couldn’t even finish the whole salad. I also tried my friend’s french fries and they were delicious. coming from NY I thought the prices were pretty reasonable. If you’re in the area this is a good place to try.

I have not stepped foot here in quite some time but I’m glad I did today. It’s very close to my residence so I’ll try to be here more often. I’ve only been to the bar area. They have good drink specials for happy hour and on Saturday from 3 – 5. They also have good bar options for food. Some of my favorite appetizers are the steak n cheese egg rolls and chipotle buffalo wings. The wings are awesome, large and good flavor with a nice homemade buttermilk herb sauce for dipping. Also good cocktails, they have tall mojitos and margaritas which are tasty. I need to come back here again since it’s close to where I live. Close enough where I can walk there… Depending on how productive I feel!
