Antonio’s New York Pizzeria

Good simple joint for pizza, subs, salad, pasta, and more. This isn’t a Matchbox, but for what it is, it’s perfect. This is mostly a take out/​delivery place so eating in is easy and quick. It’s a great place if you have kids and don’t want to bother people because your kids are misbehaving. A few people mentioned that the employee wasn’t too personable. He wasn’t overly peppy (which I think is annoying anyways), but he wasn’t rude either. In fact, he gave us everything we asked for and even gave my kids multiple side sauces and plates so that they wouldn’t argue! I’d definitely come back!

While this place does do good food, terrible customer service. Ordered 2 slices not togo and waited 45 mins for them to be brought to me. There were 3 other people waiting with me for different orders and they didn’t get theirs any earlier than 30 mins. Meanwhile delivery guy kept passing buy with all of our orders and leaving. No consideration for their patrons eating in.

I’m a career cook, and normally i don’t order food from a restaurant within an hour of closing because i know the cooks are trying to close up. But tonight, i wasn’t feeling well so my boyfriend got us dinner about 45 min before the establishment closed. I know it sucks to have an order pop uo when it’s late, and i dont expect top quality food when i order 45 min before close, but this was ridiculous. My chicken tenders were BLACK. And it was clearly an intentional, spiteful charring of the food because we ordered late. Ive been pissed off at late orders too, but to send out food that is burnt to this extreme is unacceptable. Shame on you.

I would give this place zero stars if I could. I’ve never dealt with such incompetence in my life. We ordered food and not only did our food arrive 1.5+hours late AFTER we asked to cancel it, the employee who answered the phone was belligerent and a liar. He told us twice that the food was minutes away, only to tell us when we called back that the delivery man was backed up and was about to leave the store. We finally called and asked to cancel our order, only to be told by the same employee that his manager was also the delivery man! The delivery man finally arrived and was polite but told us he was not the manger and we needed to call the store. We called again and spoke to the same employee who refused to allow us to speak to anyone else or to answer how we could cancel our order or get our money back. After some more stonewalling, he finally conceded that it would be best to speak with the owner who would be in tomorrow. When I asked for his name, he told me that his phone was cutting off, then my phone was cutting, then there were too many customers in the restaurant and then finally hung up on us. I would prefer he would’ve refused to tell me his name instead of lying and stonewalling. I don’t know about the quality of this restaurant’s food but if they continue with this quality of their employees they’ll be out of business before the end of the year.

I’ve visited this pizzeria on two occasions. Once I dined in and the other time I ordered delivery. My visit to the store left me less than impressed. While the pizza was delicious and what I’d expect from a New York pizza establishment, the service was among the poorest I’ve encountered. The gentleman working the front counter might be better behind the scenes due to his lack of customer service. I mean they want customers right?!
I was hoping for a more pleasant experience when I ordered delivery and that too fell short. After an hour of waiting, with a promised time of 45 minutes, I called the store to inquire about my delivery and a man answered «Hello?» Maybe it was the same gentleman I spoke with from my previous visit because he sounded and acted as if I were inconveniencing him. Needless to say, an hour and a half later my pizza arrived, lukewarm.
I will not be back for a third visit.

This place sucks. A coworker told me to try this place for lunch and it was extremely disappointing. The Gyro was just a bunch of lettuce with one slice of meat. I wish I had my cell phone on me to take of a picture of this joke of a gyro. Stay away from this place if you actually want to have a decent meal.

By far the worse gyro known to man. This petite, malnourished sandwich was a disgrace to gyros everywhere. It was basically a pita with lettuce and 2 slices of gyro meat… literally 2 slices. Maybe they should call it a light gyro or skinny girl gyro. I know what I call it… a waste of money!!!

This food is a joke. It took over 2 hours to deliver after 3 phone calls to check on our order. When the food finally arrived, I wouldn’t have fed it to my dog. We didn’t eat it and called to complain and they gladly gave us our money back so I can assume this is not an unusual occurrence.

Antonio’s was very good a few years ago. When we ordered pizza from them today was surprised to see that Unilocal rated at 2.5. Now I know why. Pizza did not have a good taste, something just not right, I’m not really sure what. Old ingredients is the likely culprit; salad was not fresh and green, it also had brown around the edges of many pieces. Antonio’s will no longer have magnets on my refrigerator.

Their pizzas are good but their chicken wings and sandwiches, including the Philly Cheese steak, always exceed expectations. Getting that is on my to-​do list whenever visiting (or thinking about visiting) the area.
I’ve dined-​in, carried out and used their delivery service and they’ve always been nothing but timely and courteous.

Really great pizza! We moved here almost a year ago and still hadn’t found a pizza place we loved until now. This is it! Best pizza in the area we have found. Will be back every Friday for pizza night!

I really wanted to like this place when it opened. The first pizza I ordered was dead on NYC. Fab, I think, my go to pizza next door. They even sell slices so I don’t have to get a pie. Then IT happen. well, I haven’t been back since. I live literally 2 minutes drive from this place; I could walk in ten minutes. I ordered delivery, and waited, and waited, and waited. I get a call from them– they can’t find my condo. I GO OUTSIDE in front of my building and watch them drive by a couple of times. I get another call; they went back because they couldn’t find my place (!!!) they come out again, find me a deliver a soggy, cold disgusting pizza. Hey, I don’t blame you for driving around for an hour but do you really think it’s a good idea to serve me the pizza you’ve been driving around with?
I called to talk to them and they said «that’s how it is. Sometimes it’s hot, sometimes it’s cold» OK… SORRY, you don’t get to give me NYC attitude if you can’t give me a decent pizza!

After reading the many bad reviews I feel compelled to leave a review as well.
I have been ordering pizza from here since I moved here in 2013. Pizza has always been on point. Delivery has always been around 20 minutes and never later than 30 minutes even when they tell me 45 minutes.
I’ve never had a rude person on the phone nor at the door for delivery.
I’m very pleased overall that’s why the 5 stars.

Talk about disappointment. I ordered from here during a big snowfall and was really excited about some bruschetta and meatball sub in my life. Unfortunately, the meatball sub was incredibly bland with hardly any sauce on it, and the bruschetta was literally garlic bread (like what would come as a side) with a slab of tomato and some cheese on top. I may update this rating later on when I get home to add a picture. It was the biggest disappointment I’ve had from a food delivery in a long time. I haven’t had anything else from here but needless to say I think I’m done considering Antonio’s.

Only reason I am giving ⁴⁄₅ is because I haven’t tried the majority of the menu. But from the pizza, to wings, i gotta say this place is great. Their pizza is greasy, flavorful, with homemade sauce and thin. I am not a pizza snob, but I love it. it’s consistently good. I love their spicy wings, they put on just enough sauce. And i appreciate they deliver to my home. Love the fact their entire menu is 100% halal. thank you guys for making casual dining a treat in ashburn area.

I wanted to update because not once, but twice I ended up canceling due to very late delivery (over an hour and a half wait for a two minute trip) but, each time I canceled I was still charged. Both times I had I call and have them remove the charge from my account. The second time was never removed. Don’t bother with this skummy place. They will rip you off and steal from you!

Moved in close to this place and decided to give it a shot.
Pizza was bland, not offensive but lacked any soul or flavor, much better NY style pizza can be found elsewhere. Service seemed ok but had to wait a long time for a single slice.
Place is kinda dusty and gross with an exposed ceiling for no real reason. Always seems empty when I drive by.
Might be a last resort if I am super hungry and don’t feel like going far, otherwise I have no motivation to visit this establishment again.

Placed an online order at 11:45, promised to be ready by 12:15. When I showed up on time, I was told it will take 7 more minutes for the oven to warm up. So I am assuming it was turned on upon my arrival. I was handed the food at 12:35. They have also failed to provide any packet crushed pepper or Parmesan cheese which is not acceptable for a pizza joint. In spite of all the negative feedback in Unilocal on the quality of the food, the pizza wasn’t that bad so I am still giving them a 3 star. Nevertheless I will question myself before a revisit.

It’s really unfortunate that this is the closest pizzeria in my area. This place is filthy, there’s dust everywhere and crumbs all over the counter.
We keep coming back here because of the convenient location, but I think we’ve had enough. The staff is clueless and have 0 customer service skills. The pizza is mediocre at best and always overly crunchy and dry.
Try to avoid this place at all costs.

I placed my order over the phone and was told 15 – 20 minutes. It’s been 30 minutes. They’ve apologized for the long wait due to a big order. The staff needs customer service training. They don’t look enthused about there work.
