Outrageously good breakfast sandwich. As in, as I’m writing this review from my apartment 100 miles away in New York, I feel like driving down there right now and getting another one. The breakfast spuds are delicious, and the special sriracha-ketchup-mayo sauce they have is incredible. It would be nice if they had a bench out front, but other than that this place is all you would want from boardwalk food.

Lil sandwiches(I think they’re like 4 inch long) that come out fairly quickly, though for anyone used to getting mickey-dees in 3 minutes, please do be patient, since people are actually cooking your food to order. During my 3-day stay in Asbury Park, the hubby and I went to Hoagitos twice, both times for breakfast. The breakfast spuds(kicked up home fries) were $ 3, the breakfast sandwiches were $ 4. Didn’t get lunch, but the lunch sandwiches are $ 5. Totally priced right. One of the days we ordered the pork roll, egg, n cheese sandwich on a nice fluffy hoagie roll, which was hot, the right amount of greasy-ness, and satisfying. Paired with the Asbury Park Roastery coffee they offer, it was the perfect breakfast before copping a squat on the beach. The other day we ordered a bacon, egg, n cheese, which was also delish, but if you’re only there once, definitely order the pork roll. Also, if you want the spuds, try to go on the early side because the second day I went around 10:30-ish, they ran out. Also +1 for the nice guys running the stand — super nice and sunny attitude to match the sunny beach weather.

What can I say? Conveniently located on the AP boardwalk close to convention hall. My sandwich was ready quickly, the staff was super nice, and they stock my favorite brand of potato chips. I love the idea of mini sandwiches. Especially in the summer. Perfect size and perfectly filling. I got the pork sandwich, and it was delicious. Would recommend.

This stand on the boardwalk has top quality sandwiches made with fresh ingredients. Whether you stick with the classic menu or opt for the special, you won’t be disappointed. I usually get the pork because it’s so flavorful, unless I get there before 11 a.m. and I get the pork roll with a side of spuds(amazing). I LOVE this place!

This is by far and away my favorite spot dts. Regardless of what beach I’m at or even if I driving South or North past Asbury, I have to stop and get a few of their delicious sandwiches. I have yet to have a bad experience here. The staff are alway friendly and the food is always great. Too bad they’re not open 365.

Needed a quick snack before we saw a show at the Stone Pony, all of the restaurants were pretty packed so Hoagitos seemed like our best bet. We weren’t disappointed! I will say I wish the sandwich was hot, but my friend and I both got the pork, which came with pork tenderloin, ham, pickles, swiss, and mustard. It was $ 5 for a small sandwich but was just enough to fill us up. The sandwich was tasty and the ingredients were all fresh. Another friend got sliders, they looked super tasty as well, I’d def check them out again in the future.

Wait 10 minutes for THIS boardwalk food. Sorpresseta and kobe beef sliders were exceptional. The sandwiches are a particularly good value to at $ 5. Sliders are $ 8. Service is friendly and great. Lots of people near us got the turkey with pepper jack and bacon. Seems like a tradition to add a little hot sauce to your sandwich. I’m down with that!

Would give 10 stars if possible. Probably some of the best and freshest ingredients around. Each hoagito is $ 5 and the equivalent to half of a decent size sub, however with much better ingredients than your typical sub joint. All meats are roasted in-house and the quality really shows. Get it all the time and absolutely love all of the selections.

This is one of those places where I just don’t understand the hype. Sure, $ 5 for a sandwich isn’t expensive but when you see how small their hoagies are, you’ll understand that it’s kind of a rip-off for what you get. Although the soppressata, brie, and arugula was good, it would be wise to come to the beach prepared by stopping beforehand at WaWa or Quick Check where you’ll pay about the same for a sandwich that is at least 25% bigger. Then again not a terrible option if you’re looking for a light snack and don’t want to feel like Marlon Brando from The Godfather while lounging on the sand.

I don’t know what it is but I’ve really been feeling Asbury Park lately. Once again, I’m at the beach, it’s 10 am, and I’m starving. I head over to Hoagitos for a quick bite to eat. Hoagitos is a small stand located right on the boardwalk that serves up gourmet style fast food, with fresh ingredients of course! I ordered the Applewood Bacon, Fried Egg, and Cheddar Cheese Breakfast Sandwich. For $ 4, you get the cutest little sandwich I’ve ever seen! I’ve had Bacon/egg/cheese sandwiches a million times, but for some reason this one was absolutely perfect! The sandwich was served on a small Portuguese roll(still the best bread ever IMO) and about half the size of a regular sandwich. The bread was super fresh. The egg was a real fried egg(not like that processed crap at Mickie Dee’s). The bacon was crisp and non oily and the cheddar cheese just topped off the sandwich perfectly! Initially I thought the sandwich wouldn’t fill me up because it was pretty small but I was dead wrong. I didn’t feel heavy at all and I definitely didn’t feel like a beached whale down the shore! I also ordered a coffee which was pretty strong, just the way I like it! If their other sandwiches are as tasty as the one I had, I’d definitely be back for more!

Awesome munchies on the New Jersey Boardwalk! I was in town from California to catch the music festival Skate & Surf in Asbury Park. One of the band members(Gabe Saporta, Midtown/Cobra Starship) posted a photo of Hoagitos on his Instagram. After the show that night, I walked the boardwalk with my friend looking for food and came across Hoagitos. I instantly knew I had to try it. I got the Kobe Sliders deal and it was delicious! Fresh off the grill with the right amount of sauce on a moist bun. Smells so good my friend ordered it to go as well. It really hits the spot when you’re craving something after a long event. The next day, we came back to walk the boardwalk in daylight and after a few hours I was hungry again. Nothing else seem appetizing on the boardwalk and I wanted something quick but still delicious so I headed back over to Hoagitos and got one Roast Beef and one Turkey. Both sandwiches nailed it on taste and flavor! You won’t be disappointed on all their sandwiches. I still haven’t tried their breakfast menu. Hoping to visit my friend again in Pennsylvania next Spring and we will definitely hit up Asbury Park and Hoagitos again!

Amazing Kobe sliders! I eat about 10 a week. Also the special they just ended ‘The Roast Beast’ was probably the best tasting thing ever.

The cutest little uniquely dressed sandwiches around; finally great food options on the Asbury boardwalk! Their slider, served only after 6PM, nay just be the best burger I’ve ever had! How about bottling that garlic mayo? Great job guys, thanks!

The boardwalk at Asbury Park is similar to any boardwalk/tourist heavy attractions; everything is expensive and mostly subpar. This was not the full case with Hoagitos since this little sammy was delicious. $ 4 gets you a small(about half a full sub) fancy sandwich. I actually didn’t mind the size of the sandwich, my one critique would have been more that it could have used a little more good stuff in between the baby roll rather then a few slices of meat and one slice of cheese. The Soppressata, brie, arugula with lemon vinaigrette combo was absolutely delightful and since it wasn’t a bit of a slimmer sandwich, the size was perfect for a beach day, not leaving me to feel like beached whale. If I was hungry, I would clearly need to order two, but then it would seem that this was a lot of bread and not a lot of meat in between. Regardless, I tried a few other spots on the boardwalk and this spot was the best in my opinion and I would definitely recommend if you needed a quick and light fix.

My new favorite stand on the AP boardwalk. This is the perfect beach snack/little something to hold u over til din. Got a turkey and a sopressata– turkey was perfect but I found the sop. To be a bit greasy and messy with the vinegar. Everything tasted very fresh
