I have been all over Old Town eating salads. The Grandview has the best salads! None of this presentation stuff with a lettuce leaf, a piece of meat and a drizzle of dressing. They have a good hearty salad, if you can describe salads that way! Nothing better than one of their salads and a glass of wine!

Had been here once before and had good food… came back and had no food and horrible service. The waitress was more interested in the football fans at the bar and serving them. We waited 20 minutes and couldn’t even get our cup of pre-made soup. When I asked her about the order she offered to cancel it for us instead of trying to correct the problem. I won’t be back

We were just there on the weekend of the harvest festival and ate on the front patio with our dog. No problems and we were even told to come back anytime and feel free to sit on the back patio as long as there wasn’t anyone else back there. This last weekend we show up with our dog, one couple was on the back patio so we were told we couldn’t sit back there but then we were also told she would have to sit outside the fence on the front patio. We just went somewhere else. It was too hot for her not to be able to sit in the shade under the umbrella with us.

The wife liked her steak salad well enough but my french dip was crap. Cold dry meat on a cold bun. The aujus should be a compliment to the sandwich, not the only means by which to cook or heat the sandwich. Nice bar but apparently in dire need of quality kitchen help.

This place used to be the a great place in Olde Towne Arvada, but unfortunately, much like last year’s Colorado Avalanche it has gone from first to worst, and it seemed to coincide with what I believe was an ownership or management change. When I was in recently they were so low on beer that they were running out of half of the beers they were supposed to have, and the bartender was basically having to climb into the freezer against the back part of the bar to even be able to reach beers in the bottom of said freezer(meaning they probably had less than 30-bottles, and it wasn’t even busy). The menus listed beers that we found out had not been carried in over six-months. How about you update those things, you clowns. We sat at a table out front and our greeting fifteen-minutes later was from a purple-haired angry waitress who just leaned out the front door to yell at us in an annoyed tone«CAN I HELPYOU?», as if we were squatters at their outside tables, rather than just kindly walking to our table and asking if she could help us. We were going to order food, but after seeing another party’s food and reading some Unilocal reviews we decided not to. Olde Towne has too many decent places now to waste my time on what this place has become. It’s really a shame that the Grandview has become what it seems to have become now. Bummer!

Fries cooked wrong, burger was good except the bun was molded. They did replace our food with different buns and comped the meals. This place was lackluster and not worth giving it another try.

Love the neighborhood bar feel at the Grandview. Music has changed of late to mundane classic rock. PLEASEBRINGBACKTHEBLUES! It set you apart from everyone else in Olde Town. Really miss it,

First off I am being very conservative in this review because when I told Management about our experience they took care of us with a refund. They have new owners that are trying to make a go of it but are struggling with the food and wait staff side. We had a group of five that came for lunch on huge downtown Arvada event day. Needless to say they were not prepared for any kind of crowd in the least and could handle only bar service at best. We were here for lunch. I ordered the turkey sandwich and fries. What I got was turkey on cold toast and fries that I wasn’t sure if they were even cooked. All the meals were cold and I when I told them about the fries they asked if I wanted new ones. I did. When he returned with the new fries they weren’t cooked as you can see in the picture. Then they proceeded to charge me for the new fries. They do not have a deep fryer and have to bake them(you be the judge). The only reason I am writing this is because my daughter became very ill that evening. I am cautions of the kitchen condition because when you look back there they have a door that sits wide open to the outside with no screen door which can lead to a very un-sterile environment. I am sure the beer is fine but please be cautious of eating here.

Ate here for the first time today with a friend. I’d like to give it ½ stars. Here’s why. 1: The server spent more time talking to his friends at the bar instead of coming back to the tables. It ended with me having to grab another server to get our check. 2: I ordered the nachos and added chicken. The chicken was nearly $ 4 more. I got 8 bite size pieces of chicken. I’m embarrassed for you on this. 3: The nachos were made with shredded cheese that just concreted all of the chips into a lump. As I was trying to break them free they were just crumbling apart. The nachos were also very dry. I had to ask for salsa so I could make them palatable. The toppings on the nachos kept rolling off as they were added after the concrete… sorry I mean cheese was added so they didn’t get stuck on the chips. 4: I ordered a cup of coffee in the beginning as it was cold outside. I get that this is a pub and coffee isn’t their thing, however they do breakfast food so coffee isn’t out of the norm. During a refill I got new packets of cream which were curdled. They left what looked like cottage cheese sitting on top of my coffee. I pointed it out to the server who smiled and walked away leaving my gross cup of coffee sitting in front of me the rest of the time we were there. 5: Our dishes were taken by another server after I waved her down to get our check as were were ready to go and sitting there with napkins on plates and a nasty cup of cottage cheese coffee. 6: The server finally brought the check and we paid. We left and the cup of coffee was still on that table. 7: My friend’s food looked just ok. She got a burger. The fries were under done. The bun was HUGE compared to the burger. She was tearing most of the bun away so she could enjoy the burger. 8: The food is not worth the price. $ 12 for nachos and another $ 3.75 for chicken is a rip off. The price of the food is high for what you get. This place needs to go on Bar Rescue. It has potential to be great. Get rid of the inattentive server. He was more interested in smoking and being a patron than he was in being a server. Not in any hurry to go back to this place.

Grandview is over-priced and I’m thoroughly under-impressed. I understand they’re under new ownership and they must be broke based on the prices they’re charging. I get that beer is $ 5 a pint, but damn $ 9.75 for the French(SALT) Dip and another $ 2.00 for a «side salad» which was essentially a child-sized fist of greens with walnuts and cranberries. The roast beef in the sandwich was extremely salty and the au ju was basically a salt bath.

5 star bar with 3 star food. Super heart burn. Great beer selection and bartenders can mix up anything and are great to chat with.

Love the exposed brick and tin ceilings in this place. It reminds me of a bar you’d see back East. Very cozy atmosphere. We were here for drinks on a recent weekend and the bartenders were friendly and quick, despite a pub crawl going on as well. Definitely will go back when we are in the area.

Just moved to town and love this place. I’ve been maybe 10 times or so within the past two months and the food is usually great. The service is good and the couple of guys who work there are really friendly and welcoming, which I appreciate. The«bleu burger» is decent and they always have fresh soups everyday. It’s just a hole in the wall bar. Update Feb 2015: This place overpriced everything! The burgers are burnt half of the time and DRY and they over charge for them. Nothing really that special to be charging that much. Ehh

The food is so good, I put it in my mouth. Yum Yum. Beer cold. Whiskey strong. Some of the girls want to get bottomed out. I like that. Soo much, GV till I die!

It’s definitely got a «Grandview» but I didn’t like the granite bar top. The rest of the place is really vintage but instead of a great wood top they went with granite/kind of ruins the inside IMHO. Standard Beer list/didn’t try the food/Bartender seemed like it was her first day! Def has potential… Get Dat Did!

The Grandview is a a great local bar and grill in Olde Town Arvada. I gave them the«olé timer test» and ordered the Patty Melt. For fun, I added mushrooms. It was one of the best Patty Melt burgers I have ever had. Their prices were competitive and the atmosphere was really fitting for the area. I enjoyed sitting at the bar and I received great service from the bar tender. I might become a regular.

I’ve probably been to the Grandview almost a dozen times over the years, usually for a couple of drinks but sometimes to eat lunch or dinner. The food is always above average, the drinks are reasonably priced, and the place generally has a great vibe to go with the nice mix of customers that frequent the place. I also really like the old photos of Arvada and many of it’s buildings, including the one the bar is in. I was in there for dinner and drinks a couple weeks back with a few friends. The Grandview offers a decent mix of ales on tap, along with a bunch of bottles. Wine and a full bar are also options but I’m usually enjoying a cold one when I’m there. This last time when I got there the table had gotten some edamame, it was very tasty and I ordered an IPA when the server stopped by a minute later. The food menu is a mix of standard bar fare with some slightly upscale offerings. I settled on a patty melt, which I’ve had before and liked. This time the burger was a little more on the rare side than the medium that I ordered, but it was still cooked enough for me to eat without sending it back. There is street parking out front, as well as a lot across the street and another a half block to the north. The service is always friendly and the food & drink are reliably good, give it a shot next time your in Arvada!

Was out riding with my friend, and we stopped in here. Nice patio, friendly service… an OK menu… Seems like a good local bar, it was Saturday afternoon and all the stools at the bar were taken, and it seemed to have a pretty ok lunch crowd. Note: They do not have french fries :) They do not have a fryer, rather small kitchen area… In seeing the upside of that… no horrible fried food! LOL … I had the ribs(special that day), it was a little tooo spicy for me, but i really liked them so I kept eating in spite of that :) Nice relaxing atmosphere. nothing to over the top…
