Serenity At Five Parks

I had a pedicure done yesterday in preparation for my destination wedding. Some toes are missing polish, some could use and extra coat, and some have polish on my cuticles. I could’ve done it myself and it would’ve looked better. I’m disappointed and plan on getting another pedicure elsewhere.

I have been going to Serenity at Five Parks for about a year now. Alexis is my stylist and she does a fantastic job. She cuts and highlights my hair as well as shaping/​waxing my eyebrows and tints my eyelashes. I am always happy with her services and her eye for color and cut. I highly recommend Alexis and I know you will enjoy the salon as well.

I called Serenity for a last minute appointment to fix another salon’s hairstyle mistake. They were quite busy yet were still able to schedule me in. Megan saved my hairstyle and created a snazzy new take on the previous style I desired. She’s excellent with a pair of scissors and a great listener. You will most certainly receive the royal treatment here!

My last visit here, for a gel manicure, was very disappointing.
First, the tech didn’t use the hand scrub on my hands because «she didn’t want to get new bandaids.» What? If you can’t do the service properly, someone else should be doing it. She also didn’t cut the calluses of the sides of my fingers, which is one of the main reasons I get a manicure. I really can’t do this myself without getting horrible hangnails.
Then, she did an awful job painting my nails. Usually, there is a very straight line where the polish meets your cuticle. But, this time, it was all jagged, and you could see where each brush stroke started. She was also very sloppy with the top coat, and there were big gobs of it at the front edge of my nail where it met the skin. When I pulled it off, it chipped the paint with it.
For a $ 50 manicure, this was awful. With this experience, Serenity has lost a customer.

Love this salon. Actually love my cousins who work at the salon! The do absolutely fantastic work. I always get complements on my hair and when I say my cousin did it I get even more!

Just moved to the area and took a chance on a new salon (always a scary thing to find a new place). Booked an appointment with Tina (completely based on her name. LOL) I arrived and was greeted with a glass of wine. Great start! I met Tina who went over my current hair cut and color and what I wanted. I think she listened, offered suggestions and I left happy and with another appointment booked. Oh and a second glass of wine in between all of this. I definitely recommend Serenity.

Had a great afternoon at Serenity. Katy did a great job during the consult and listened to everything I needed and gave some great suggestions. She gave me beautiful highlights and the exact cut I wanted. Katy also did my shellac manicure which turned out lovely! After that, I was handed off to Kimmy who did my shellac pedi. She was so fun, we had some great laughs and my feet look great. It was such a fun afternoon. Looking forward to coming back.

I really love this place. Nikki does my hair and she is amazing. I always struggle finding a good hairstylist who can manage more thin/​fine hair without making it look stacked or choppy. I sometimes will go in and just tell her to have fun because I trust she knows what she is doing.
They always offer a glass of wine or something to drink and the whole staff is so polite. It will be tough if I move too far from her because I dont know if I am willing to find a new hairstylist. May just have to make the drive.

I meant to write this review as soon as I got home from getting my hair cut, but life got crazy (as I’m sure everybody understands), but I’m going to write it now because I still am so excited about my hair cut!
I’ve just moved back to Colorado from Michigan where I had been going to the same stylist for years. I had put off getting my hair cut because I was extremely nervous to find a new stylist. On a whim, I called this salon (the day before the 4^th of July), and they were able to get me in right away. Megan cut my hair, and it was AMAZING. She eased my nerves immediately by listening to exactly what I wanted and going slowly. Even though I came in an hour before they closed, AND the day before a holiday, she didn’t try to rush me at all.
Something else I loved was how much product was in the salon. It sometimes bothers me when products are pushed on you when you get a haircut (even though I understand that is part of the process), but Megan took a different approach. As she put different products in my hair, she explained what it was and what it did, and that they had it available for purchase… nothing more. I ended up buying a bottle of shampoo and a bottle of conditioner after my haircut though, not because it was pushed on me, but because I could tell Megan knew exactly what she was talking about. I could trust her opinion!
Finally, this I just want to say that I love this salon as a whole. The other stylists were also great, I felt like I was just hanging out with a bunch of friends, not with people I had just met. Plus, it was clean and beautifully decorated.
I will absolutely be going back, and I’m so happy I found a new salon I can trust!

I have been going to this salon for almost six years now, predominately going to Nikki a master stylist. I have never had one complaint and highly recommend this place for any kind of hair styling.

I’m starting this off by letting you know how much I loathe getting my hair cut. I’ve never in my life had a good hair experience. I’ve never returned to the same stylist because I always leave disappointed.
Not this time!
I have really thick, coarse hair that is half curly and half wavy. It’s also very long. It’s long partially because I hate getting my haircut, and also because I just like having long hair. Usually when I get my hair cut, people are afraid to actually cut it – if I say I want three inches cut off, then cut off three inches! People are often afraid of my hair and I usually end up feeling embarrassed when I’m at the stylist.
I went to see Alexis because my friend recommended her. I was definitely nervous, and Alexis could sense it. But, she made me feel comfortable pretty quick. I’ve never had my hair professional dyed before, and she made me feel awesome during the process. The color turned out great, too! Plus, she wasn’t afraid to cut my hair! For the first time ever someone put layers in it and it looks amazing. I’m so very pleased.
I can’t wait to go back and see her again, and I’m so happy I finally have someone I can trust with my hair. The salon is also really nice. It’s relaxing and clean, but it isn’t snobby. The guy who checked me out was so nice as well!

This review is mainly for my stylist, Alexis. I have had her do my hair twice and was pumped both times. She is very attentive to what you want and asks lots of questions as she is cutting just to make sure you are happy. She is pleasant, super sweet, and great at color and cuts. Thank you Alexis! I live 40 minutes away but I will be loyal as long as I am in Colorado! See you in a couple months

I really wanted to like this salon as the location is convenient, and I was impressed with availability of appointments… I regularly get shellac manicures so when I received a coupon here I went for it, so sorry I did! My first go around with Sierra, left me with the worst gel experience/​technique I have seen. Some nails were only ¹⁄₃ covered, others covered cuticles and skin. The polish was totally uneven and lumpy, and the Polish was not cured correctly. Less than 24 hours later, the tips all peeled off. Since I paid more than I usually do for this service, I called to complain.
To the salons credit, they did attempt to fix the problem by having Megan «fix» them. After this manicure I was again left with horrible nails. Lumpy, uneven and I had to come home and file all the polish off my skin.
Both gals were friendly, but I would never recommend this salon for nails.

I have been going there for about a year now and the place is very nice and clean. Go see Meghan, her attention to detail is excellent, she gets it right every time. Great place!

I am not the type to give a review but I feel it is absolutely necessary! I had a shellac manicure by Megan. This was my first visit to this salon so I was unfamiliar with what it included… essentially it was a polish change for $ 35 (with shellac). She did 2 coats and they are totally lumpy and uneven. She did not clip my cuticles (at all) and the filing was so rough I had to come home and immediately file my nails.
I will NEVER go to this salon to get my nails done again. The absolute worst manicure I have had in 20 years!

I absolutely adore Serenity. It’s a great place. My stylist, Alexis, was so patient and helpful throughout my appointment — and it was a solid 3 hours she had me! We went from a dark red/​brown to a light gingery-​red, and that process isn’t easy. She was beyond helpful, and very friendly. No one here pushes the products on you, and everyone is competent. I overheard more than one client/​stylist pair who were familiar with each other — you can tell they have lots of regulars. I intend to be one!

My second visit to the salon was to correct the 2 inch side to side difference from the first cut I got here. And no, I had not asked for an asymetrical look. The staff was very accomodating and my hair is now even. The stylist who gave the original out of whack haircut I’m not naming because she may have just had an off day. The stylist who fixed my hair was Alexsis and I will book my next appointment with her.
The receptionist Britany is very sweet yet still professional. The environment of the salon facility is relaxing with no overly assertive lighting/​music. Much appreciated. I really like the optional text appointment reminders.

Went in expecting one stylist, but ended up with Jessica at the last minute (no explanation?). Glad I did! She was friendly, had great hair, herself (vital!), and did a freaking amazing job on my hair. I am one of those busy chicas who lets her mane get way out of control before hiring someone to reel it in… so she had her hands full. I looked like a new lady when I left, and felt like a million bucks. :) If you haven’t been to Serenity, check it out. Not too pricey, super cute, and as friendly as it gets.

I was a bit wary of trucking all the way out to northwest Arvada for a haircut, but my friend recommended them and I had a 50% off any service deal so I gave it a try. That was two years ago and I’ve been getting my hair done there ever since.
The customer service and attention to detail at Serenity is what makes that drive to Arvada so worth it. They always call to remind you of your appointment, offer you something to drink (which includes beer and wine) when you walk in the door, do a paraffin wax hand dip with every service and are always running discounts, contests and other deals that can help you afford product, etc. Now I could never imagine going to a salon that didn’t at least come with this level of customer service.
The place has an all-​around friendly vibe because a lot of the employees and clients live in or near the Five Parks neighborhood which surrounds the group of shops that Serenity is a part of. It’s a very cute setup, with green Mountain Yoga and Jack’s coffee and wine bar as its neighbors.
