Rib City Grill

Bbq here is mediocre. Sides are meh. Service was ok. If you’re looking for great barbecue you’re better off stopping somewhere else.

Not a huge BBQ fan but we have never been disappointed with the food from here. Have several different sauces you can add to your meal. My kids favorite is the smoked turkey sandwich with spicy ranch for the fries!

$.25 beer and bbq what is not to like. This place is has good bbq and usually is packed for dinner so it’s got a lot of loyal customers. Meats have a good smokey profile and have assortment of bbq sauces you can try. You need to ask for the for the hot one. As for kids this is a great place my daughter absolutely loves the ribs here. The meals are priced out reasonably and you get a healthy portion so you shouldn’t leave dissatisfied.

Craving BBQ when I was in Arvada. Consulted Unilocal and was pleasantly surprised to find this place.
Their special of the night was Baby Back Ribs. My friend and I decided to share an order of it. Between the two of us we were satisfied. Plus a side of their potatoes and fries. The baby back was tasty, tender and definitely would have the full rack by my self next time! :)
The inside of this place is generic BBQ décor. A smattering of cowboy boots and some words of wisdom to live by on the walls :)
You order. You eat. Leave. Simple concept of a place I admire. Not bad at all. My favorite sauce among the three that they have? The original!

Delicious baby back ribs HOWEVER — DO NOT place a takeout order late afternoon!!! Wait until after 5pm. Several times, when we ordered between 2:30 — 4:30 the food was TERRIBLE. The ribs are old, dried out and tasted like beef jerky, the corn on the cob is mushy.
They really should check their food before sending it out, and if it’s OLD OLD OLD — do not serve it!

Stopped in while I was getting my tires done. I am certainly glad we did. I got the half of baby rack ribs special. I had the bbq beans and sliced tomato. The wait staff is super friendly. We WILL be back. It’s sooooo much better than Bennits bbq pit.

Few hours later, heart burn, heart burn and more heart burn. It was soo good to.

Love this place. We got take out a few nights ago and everything was great. We shared the feast for two and it was way more than enough food for my husband and myself! The ribs were fantastic and I love both their sweet and tangy BBQ sauces. We definitely will be back.

Over smoked. The ribs were okay but not very meaty, they were very tender but i like a little bark on my ribs, there was none. The chicken tasted like a campfire. My wife had the chopped BBQ sandwich which had a nice tang to it but the backend tasted like an ashtray. Fried ocra was rather good. Their sauces were mediocre at best, brown sugar 3/​5, mustard 2/​5, vinegar ⁴⁄₅. We had to wait over 45 minutes for our food. I do not mind waiting, I was enjoy the company of my family, but two groups who came in well after us got their food 10 minutes before us. My biggest complaint is the over smoked meat. I’m not sure what kind of wood they use but it is harsh. I have had many great BBQ joints in the Denver and will not be back here.

When someone from Texas tells you there’s a good BBQ place in Colorado… you tend to listen. Now I’m hitting myself in the head for not coming to this place sooner. A lot of BBQ restaurants claim to smoke their meats for 12 – 13 hours. They all say it, but you can clearly tell when a restaurant actually DOES it. And at Rib City, they do it, and they do it well!
This is undeniably one of the best BBQ restaurants in Colorado. The meats are well smoked, the sauces are all fantastic, everything is freshly made and the prices aren’t too bad either. This place has just about everything except for a good smoked sausage, which I hope they might introduce to the menu someday.
I ordered the beef brisket sandwich and it was absolutely perfect. I would recommend ordering it naked with sauce on the side, because this allows you to really taste the smoky flavor.
Another thing is they have a great kids menu with a surprisingly well-​portioned amount of food. Some kids menus have very small entrée portions, even for kids. A basket of 6 shrimp with two small sides is only $ 4.29. You can’t beat that!
Rib City… I am so happy to have found you.

Stopped by here during lunch and it wasn’t too busy. Servers were sweet.
What I swallowed:
BABY BACK RIBS SPECIAL with SALAD and FRENCH FRIES: The ribs were good, a bit dry but weren’t too bad. The BBQ sauce was tasty. I felt like I was eating reheated ribs at Grandma’s house or something.
Service was friendly and quick. Maybe we need to come back when the ribs are a bit fresher.

I eat here almost every week sense it opened.
The ribs are always great quality, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the food is consistently good.

My favorite neighborhood go to restaurant. It is always consistent, delicious and the friendliest waitstaff I have ever seen. I love their specials including the drink specials. They have several choices o BBQf sauces and all are good. The only thing they could work on is making sure the food stays fresh at the end of the day. I often order takeout and if I get it right before closing the ribs can be too burnt and the salad a little wilted. I love their blue cheese and ranch dressing too!

Great, wonderful service!!! Our waitress was very kind and attentive. Sadly I do not remember her name, she was an older lady with real short hair and glasses. Our food was also FANTASTIC! Very reasonable prices, this is definitely our families new favorite restaurant :)

Booked marked this place a while ago on Unilocal,we were in Arvada at a festival and decided to try it out, so glad we did!
The kids meal ribs were a hit! The kids ate it all up in a hurry, ribs, fries, garlic toast, and the kids picked oranges.
We got the lunch special half a rack of ribs, with fries, garlic toast and coleslaw and it was delicious!
The price is actually really good, the portion was good and I would drive all the way over here just for it!

Mmm ribs! And okra! And baked beans! And Texas toast!
I’ve literally never had a bad meal here! The staff is always friendly and attentive and the management runs the store very well. Most of the servers are pretty young but they’re extremely polite and wonderful at what they do.
I used to hate okra but rib city has converted me! They are a great way to start off a delicious meal. The buffalo shrimp with the spicy ranch is another of my favorites.
The baked beans have the most amazing flavors and I’ll typically get an order of them along with the tangy, creamy coleslaw for my sides.
Now onto the ribs– they are always so tender and a have an amazing amount of crispness on the outside where the sauce is grilled. I adore the sauce they use so I don’t use the extra sauces they provide but they’re great for people enjoy the other flavors.
The prices are very reasonable~Especially for the portion sizes! I haven’t done their catering but am planning to use them soon so I will update after that.

I remember when this location first came. Ever since high school I have enjoyed coming to Rib City. I really like this location, however it is rather small. The wait is long if you’re coming on a pretty hoppin night, such as the weekends. You need to be prepared for a long wait for your table especially with bigger parties that you might have. That is why I am giving this place four stars instead of the five stars. However, the rest of my review tells you how I feel about their food which I would give 5 stars.
They usually have great deals on beers and other mixed drinks. They don’t have a bar but they do have a variety of different alcoholic beverages.
I love there different barbecue sauces and I especially love their four cheese waffle fries with their spicy ranch dressing. I absolutely love the spicy ranch dip that they have, I think it’s made in house.
They usually have a really good special deals as well!
I really like their traditional baby back ribs, however, I do not like the Louisiana ribs. The Louisiana ribs look like they have more meat, but they’re tougher some parts are fattier and you just don’t know if you’re going to get quality meat. I have always had quality with the baby back ribs.
The kids meals are great, my daughter loves the mini corn dogs as well as the red bites.
I really enjoy their baked beans and the coleslaw is a bit sweet but still enjoyable.
I would recommend this place for the ribs not so much the sandwiches. I’ve only ever had two different types of their sandwiches but I don’t prefer them over the ribs.
Rip City also sells pounds of meat which is helpful in a pinch when you need a good BBQ dish for a potluck and you don’t have time to cook!

Ok… This place was very good! But I enjoyed the sides more than the entrée itself so I’m knocking one star off for that. I got the BBQ chicken meal with fries and a baked potato. The fries tasted very fresh which was great. The baked potato… Well it’s a baked potato, how could you mess that up? The garlic bread they give you. Oh my geesh it was awesome! The bbq sauce… Spot on.
What didn’t impress me? The chicken. It was a lot of chicken I’ll give them that! But when I got it, all I saw was pink. Now I know that bbq chicken has a pink hue because of the bbq sauce it’s cooked with, but a good portion of the chicken looked uncooked. The bone in the wing they gave me still looked bloody so I tossed that in the handy little bone basket they give you.
My husband got the skyscraper. He kept making noises that tell me he really enjoyed it. Lol.
Overall, I’d for sure come back. Just not for the chicken.

«RIB CITY Restaurant» on 64^th Ave & Indiana has put my raging taste-​buds back in place with flavor. The food was nothing less than exceptional. Our waitress Katie P was super efficient, genuine, had a great smile, and just all around Awesome! everyone was super inviting and it really felt like home again.
My Wife and I just moved to Colorado from California, Los Angeles, and I must admit, we’ve only RIB CITY has captured our attention. We look forward to going back soon!

Solid food. Solid service. For a chain BBQ joint Rib City is run well and the meats are typically very fresh and tasty. The Kiddo loves the mini corn dogs and so do I when she allows me to steal them. I typically get lunch here and tend to get a sandwich which are normally served on lightly toasted Texas toast. I request the spicy BBQ too because I think it’s the best. But the sweet and mustard sauces are good as well. The beer selection is very slim but I don’t drink at lunch so no problem unless I come for dinner. The baked beans are GREAT but the rest of the sides are typical pre made and the corn in the cob is clearly frozen and nothing special. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys BBQ.

Literally every time I have been here I have ordered the same thing; Sliced Pork Dinner. It is so delicious that I don’t want to try anything else. The coleslaw and baked beans are great. That and a sweet tea equals the perfect meal. Also, their sauces are great, great variety. Make sure you ask to try their hot bbq sauce.
Service could be a bit better but the manager always comes by to make sure the customers are satisfied. Nice touch.
