Beautiful restaurant, excellent food, but Taco Tuesday is even better with the marvelously talented Mariachis. You owe it to yourself to visit this place.

I love this place. We go there quite a bit on Sundays. No crowd. Great service… and great drink specials. They make you feel like family!

We always have a great experience here, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, dinner or happy hour. Food is excellent, with generous portion sizes. Highly recommend the Happy Hour… house margaritas are awesome and there is a HH food menu(check out Taco Tuesdays!) And all day Sunday! Service is never exceptionally personable or overly friendly, but it’s consistently decent and fairly quick. Decent kids menu and menu prices are competitive. I don’t have any favorite menu items… everything I’ve had is very good! Love the fajitas, relleno nachos, and their green chile and salsa are perfectly spicy. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I LOVE this place!!! The service is always the best! Fast, friendly, attentive, but not too much. My food has always been good. Best Enchiladas and chille rellenos! Great prices for the amount of food you get!

If you order to go/pick up you better check every single item. They constantly forget items and they don’t care this has happened multiple times and the management doesn’t care.

Really good Mexican food and the margaritas some of the best. Every time we’ve been there it’s busy so expect a wait. Good service, prices and atmosphere.

Came in on Mother’s Day. Sunday. Menu said happy hour all day Sunday. They had food specials under the happy hour menu. We ordered house margaritas and an appetizer off the happy menu. The waiter didn’t say anything about them not offering specials bc it was a «holiday» we mentioned something when the bill came and he told us they don’t offer the deal on holidays. Nothing on the menu said anything about that. Will NOT be coming back here bc of this.

Food is normally very good. Green chili and salsa are awesome. Margarita are great. The service is generally poor, slow slow slow. Not the kitchen the waiters. They seem to intentionally ignore you have to flag them down to order, to get more salsa to get the check. So annoying. Take out orders CHECK them. Missing items far to often. We have eaten there about 50 times and they just don’t seem to give a hoot about the quality of service. Again the good is very good but my husband is done! Tired of having to flag the waiters down for everything. It annoying to sit and wait for service and watch them stand around, watch the TV’s and play on their phones

Excellent breakfast! Fresh ingredients made everything so flavorful and makes a world of difference in their food. Great food and great service from Jose Bueno!

It was the typical cheese and grease drenched over their main ingredients food. My wife and I were sick the next day. Wait staff were great. The End.

Waited 10 minutes for a drink order. Food came up fast but our waiter didn’t write the order down and brought my the wrong food. All the food needed salt. To top it all off I was seated in a booth that bucked me around when the person behind me made any movement. Really a disappointing meal.

We used to eat at their restaurant on Wadsworth and were excited when they opened this one closer to our house. The food is always good and the staff is friendly enough without being bothersome. We eat there almost monthly and are always satisfied.

Las Potrancas has become one of our favorite spots. Service is friendly and fast. They always dote on our kids. Kids meals are $ 3.99(cheap!). Even if they’re busy, food comes out quickly. Margs are good– not too sweet– and the place is very clean. My faves are the Mazatlan burrito(with fish) and fiesta nachos. Hubs likes the Marlene combo. Chips and salsa are always fresh. Tuesdays are Mariachi Nights– and they take requests!

So this use to be Casa Blanca. He new owners have certainly ruined it for sure. He menu is generic and the prices are higher. I want authentic Mexican food for that kind of price. This is a place to eat that’s fast if your drunk and need To sit down. Bummer, miss the previous owners.

The best Mexican restaurant in Arvada! We eat here every Tuesday evening for dinner. Food is great, atmosphere is clean and staff is very friendly! Tuesday evenings there is a live Mariachi Band, very talented, and fun!!! They will come around to each table for a song request!

Two visits after my brutal review from a year ago, and this place has improved, but still has some glaring weaknesses. The green chili is really good and hot, and the meats are always very good. They are no longer skimping on the booze in their margaritas, and the drink prices and sizes are online with most Mexican restaurants. For some reason the tortillas for the tacos are always super greasy, and they always fall apart as a result of this. ¡That kind of sucks donkey balls(pelotas de burros, y mierda)! The rice and beans are atrocious, worst I’ve had anywhere. This place is very hit or miss on just about everything, so you should probably have dinner here three-times a week, or else, you rotten bastards(bastardos podridos, y mierda).

I will first start off by saying that I have high expectations of Mexican food but I thought Las Potrancas are below par. I called in to place a takeout order, the individual who answered the phone was very rushed, didn’t even take down my name, and hung up in a hurry; not a single thank you, anything but I still figured I’d give it a shot because people skills don’t always relate to the quality of food. When I arrived, I went to the back counter where they pushed my order towards me, ran my card, and walked off. When I tried to say ‘Thank you’, there was nothing. No farewell greeting… again, people skills might not reflect on the quality so I took my food back to my office to see what I was working with. The look of the food appeared to be your typical cheese enchiladas but once I started eating it, there was A TON of sauce which substantially lacked flavor and seasoning and the cheese in the enchiladas wasn’t even melted. I was able to see shredded cheese. Also, the corn tortillas were rubbery and nothing to write home about. I also asked for no onions and there were several large slivers of raw onion disguised as lettuce that completely blew out my palate. Also, the quality to price was pretty shocking. For these less than par enchiladas, it was $ 10! If they were good I wouldn’t be complaining but I definitely didn’t pay for what I got in quality. Overall, a disappointing experience and not worth my time and money to try it again. I was so excited to look for a good Mexican restaurant with the weather changing but I will not be returning to Las Potrancas. I’d pick Taco Bell over this establishment because at least you pay for what you get there.

Really good Mexican food with a family atmosphere that puts the authentic flavor of culture with the food! Love the shrimp fajitas!

My hubs and I went to eat here last night… We looked at the reviews and decided to check it out — The set up is a bit weird and the hostess could be friendlier but it’s okay– We were sat and ordered horchata(sweet Mexican drink) .Those were delicious but the server never offered us water. We had to ask for that. I ordered the chili rellenos and my boo ordered a burrito and relleno .the food was brought out quick and was pretty good… We ate and relaxed … The restaurant was busy so it took forever to get a check … The moral of this story — the decorations were a tad busy the staff was mostly pleasant and food was descent… I don’t crave Mexican food too much but we will probably try again ! I live super close so it makes it easy to give it another go!

Finally. Three times is a charm– or Trice as Nice is what I should say. This poor place off of 64th and Simms has tried twice to open a Mexican restaurant and they have failed miserable. So we were a little hesitate to go try«one more.» We walked in and were amazed at the«over haul» and work put in, that the previous two owners were dithering to do. The space was open, clean and of course, the walls were packed with hanging gaudy Tijuana type souvenirs.(This is a true staple and technical measuring stick to judge all Mexican Restaurant fare by. Look it up). First, it was busy(another good sign.) Second, Happy Hour starts at 2(pm). Third, three words: A. Tequila. Locker. You buy a bottle of Tequila, they store it in their locker and it’s there for you every time you come in. The fresh salsa has a nice kick, there’s an actual extra spicy green chile offering, and great flavors. But, before I carry on too much… I’ll go back and offer a follow up. Just know this, fresh food, happy servers, clean, incredibly affordable a la carte pricing and the largest tequila selection in Arvada(yeah, that other Tequila Capital).
