Wow, you know that the summer has reached a boiling pitch when you see tourists from Pennsylvania in Winks! Fools, they avoided the best products there and just asked cluelessly for «hoagies». Now, I have nothing against hoagies, (e.g. Hoagie Haven in Princeton, N.J., that’s worth a detour), but Winks is NOT a sub shop, rather a bakery of first class and a sandwich shop in the second instance. Tried their blueberry cake for the first time today, what a treat with a cup of hot joe, and picked up some brownies for my kids, who clamor for the best brownies outside of Portland!

Outside of down town, it is the place to get some great muffins and coffee! If you are in Kennebunkport, take a ride outside of town for something a little more townie :)
