Great little place, the lady who works there is very knowledgeable and engaging. I came into this place to pick up an herb for my dog that was recommended by the vet. She knew exactly what it was and explained the therapeutic benefits the herb. The next time I get sick, I am going back her to see the on site doctor for an herbal consult.

It is a small place. But they offer different meds. Price is pretty good. Excellent service. The lady who helped me with my cough meds, is really friendly. She did not cross sell, but offer solutions to you. She even gave tips on how to cook certain food which will help my cough too. I personally prefer herbs and food treatments. There is an elderly gentleman who is the onsite doctor. He will check your pulse, not your number, but see your sickness. Then he will prescribe Chinese traditional herb meds to you. I like this place. I recommend it to my friends too. It is a small business. They accept credit card for $ 20 and more.

I can’t believe how much fun the hubs and I had visiting this little Chinese herb pharmacy. It was only $ 10 each to see the«Herbal Consultant». He checked our blood pressure, looked at our tongues, and diagnosed us by checking our pulses. He doesn’t speak English, but he smiles politely and does his best working through the lady there that translates for him. They are both very nice and made us feel comfortable. There is this wall along one side of the store that has a ton of drawers with the names of the various Chinese herbs written on little tags. The smell was… interesting. :) We both left with a plastic bag full of smaller plastic bags with our herbs and a piece of paper with instructions on how to boil them. Basically, you soak them, boil them, simmer, and then strain out the tea. You have to boil them in a glass, Corningware or stainless steel pot. The herbs will react with cast iron or aluminum so you can’t use those. The Chinese have been practicing herbal medicine for THOUSANDS of years whereas the newest pharmaceuticals have only been around for a few decades. As far as I’m concerned, I think the Chinese have had a lot more time to practice and get it right. It’s cheaper than a trip to a MD, the herbs are natural, and it’s fun. If you’ve ever been curious about Chinese herbs, this is a much more convenient place to go than Chinatown in LA. If you’re not feeling well… or even if you are feeling well… I highly recommend that you give it a shot. :)
