Officially Couture by Maneka

The ladies of Officially Couture are absolutely amazing! Iv’e been shopping in Artesia for years, and never received the individual attention and care like I did here. I was wedding shopping, and being a plus size girl it seems difficult to get variety in Artesia. Most places I walked into, weren’t willing to work with me or had absolutely no variety in plus size clothing. The shops that did, said they can custom sew a lehnga for me. but made me feel like it was a hassle. The second I walked into Officially Couture, the ladies were so welcoming. right away asked me what I’m looking for and showed me everything they had. They had a big selection in un-​stitched lehngas, and made it seem like no problem at all the have it ready in a few days. The aunty that sews the clothing was right there to take measurements, had my lehnga ready with-​in a week. I took my hubby here afterwards to pick out his sherwani, and that’s when we met the owner of the place… and just as her staff was, she also was amazing. She took interest in talking to us, and didn’t make us feel rushed at all. My husband and I did mostly all of our shopping here, and I was very satisfied with our decision!

Maneka and Dolly and their staff have the best trendy, sophisticated, elegant ideas and mix and match blouses to sari’s and sari’s to blouses and outfits for men are the best in California.
I am getting ready for my second child’s wedding.
Did not have to go to India Maneka and Dolly have and are dressing the whole immediate family and most is custom made in India.
Prices in the store are excellent as you know they are only one of a kind.
My daughters wedding she wore one Saree for her big day.
For hindu ceremony Maneka designed a red traditional blouse with embroidery and when it came back they had gone way above and beyond what we needed to give it a gorgeous look to wear it as gujarati style saree At her reception Maneka designed her blouse what my daughter always wanted. A silver sequence blouse, and she wore the same saree but changed the style around of her saree.
Dolly and Maneka have done the same for my son his outfit too is made to measure made in India and has come out perfect.
For these ladies and there staff nothing is too big or small and are always there to help you and your needs.

Maneka custom designed three Indian outfits for my wedding (Mehendi/​Sangeet, Ceremony, and Reception) and all three were phenomenal!
When I began shopping for my wedding I was instantly disappointed by the stores in Little India because I couldn’t find anything unique and I had no plans to travel to India to go shopping. Luckily I stumbled upon Maneka’s store and she explained that she works with brides to create custom designed clothes. Being the picky person that I am, I was so excited that I could design my outfits from scratch.
The design process took about 1 – 2 months, and Maneka did a great job of designing all of the outfits based on various pictures and ideas that I shared with her. She even went the extra mile to create mockups to make sure that we were on the same page and that I was completely happy. The outfits themselves took about 2 – 3 months to make and they were more beautiful in person than I had imagined. Maneka pays a lot of attention to detail and she only uses the highest quality stones and threadwork on the dresses. All of my outfits were embellished with Swarovski crystals and while it did add to the cost, my outfits all sparkled like no other in the lights. Also the quality of the stitching is really great. It’s not like the poorly stitched readymade outfits you get in the store where the beads are falling off a week later. Everything was stitched on tight and it felt very durable.
The cost of these custom clothes is extremely expensive, but you get what you pay for and I promise you that you won’t find this quality even if you go shopping on your own in India. The only issue I had during the process was that I lost weight by the time the dresses arrived. My measurements were taken in December, but my wedding wasn’t until July. It felt like the original measurements weren’t taken correctly because I didn’t think I had lost that much weight. However, when the dresses arrived, they were about 2 sizes too big. Unfortunately, Maneka’s in house tailor isn’t very skilled and can’t alter gowns and also didn’t do a good job of altering one of the other outfits. I ended up going to another tailor who Maneka referred and she was able to alter everything perfectly! With that said, my recommendation is to set aside extra money in your budget to deal with alterations after the dresses arrive or try to negotiate these costs into the invoice.
Overall Maneka is extremely talented and you will be delighted with her work.

I bought my 3 wedding outfits from here and couldn’t have been happier with my decision.
When you first walk into this store it is all white walls with pink and grey touches like a Hollywood boutique style. This place looks nothing like the other competitors in the area like Frontier and others. Thank goodness because this place does not treat you like them either !!
As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and acknowledged. The other stores ignored me. I met with the owner Maneka and she was amazing. I had a vision of how I wanted my outfits to look for my 3 day Indian wedding event. She sat with me for about 2 hours and she took my vision and sketched my dream lenghas and dresses. She even helped me design my 8 bridesmaids sari’s.
She had so many brides that she was working with at the time when designing mine but she took the time and made sure each piece and every color was the one I wanted.
My outfit was made in India and for those who know about outfits made in India, it can be scary. I have ordered outfits online from a website which I will not name and they never arrived on time and the measurements were way off.
When my outfits arrived from India from Officially Couture by Maneka the waist was a little big but the girls at the store were able to fix that in a day. :) Needless to say for a bride I was freaking out but all was resolved.
I give this store 5 stars. Everyone at my wedding commented on my amazing outfits. I am so thankful I walked into this store and have had the pleasure to work with Maneka, her mom and girls.
There has to be a con in every review. My only con is the parking situation in Artesia The parking use to be free on the streets in this area and now the city of Artesia put up pay meters.

I found the owner extremely rude and arrogant. Although they have a good selection of clothes I can not deal with rude owners. I will take my business elsewhere.

I just bought my engagement outfit here! And I’m super happy with it! Exactly what I envisioned. I went here AFTER I had already been to Berkeley and several other places to shop, which they alll had the SAME THINGS OVER AND OVER AGAIN, and after whole day of shopping in artesia I was super disappointed and was going to return to the Central Valley without an outfit but then my cousin told me about this place! THANK GOD! So happy! Sure it’s a little more expensive than the other stores but if you want something unique and don’t want to walk into a special event and look the same as everyone else– this is the place to go. And it’s not really even that much more. I feel like for the quality, uniqueness and fabric– it’s reasonable pricing. They custom design everything themselves and they even take custom orders. They aren’t like all the other stores and just trying to get you to buy their things. You tell them a budget and they present you items within your budget. I walked in and within 30mins I had the perfect outfit. AND they fixed my outfit right there and then and had me try it on. They don’t play games and they don’t try to oversell you. Highly recommend them!

Got my bridal lahenga here. The service is EXCELLENT. Everything here is beautiful! I picked out the style I wanted, they had it made in India and shipped over. When I went to try it on, there were some length issues (it was too short) and I started to panic. However, the owner and staff were very accommodating and did everything they could within the day to fix the issue and I was very happy with my outfit!

ooohhh expensive! but so many options! and the staff is so helpful with suggestions, etc. we spent half our afternoon there but the stuff is all out of my budget :/
