My wife and I order a small salad & medium pizza. Its standard fare. Good and priced right. We also try to get one appetizers. So far, we like the Chicken Samosa and the Marsala Wings. Lots of TVs and large tables which easily seat 6 or more.

I’m a bit biased for this place as I’ve been eating this pizza since 1980. If you like NY style pizza, you have to try their plain cheese with the marinara hot sauce and fresh cut onions. Good food with casual family environment. I’m there every week so come say hi.

A little background. So Julio’s classic pizzas are a hand-crafted old timey recipe that have been since revolutionized into this full blown restaurant/bar/banquet hall and THATCLASSICTASTE is still there. Yes, now there is a little bit of an Indian twist, but the classic pizzas are what makes Julio’s so amazing. This location is huge… located right off Pioneer with tons of parking in a private lot. There are tons of booths in addition to a giant bar and a display case of bottles that people have purchased for their pleasure. Of note, some things worth trying include the garlic bread(with fresh peppers), the stuffed mushrooms, the masala wings and of course, the pizza. The wings are a personal fave… super flavorful and spicy… best when served piping hot(better in house than to-go for sure). They are a tolerable level of spice for me, but for most of my mild eating friends, I’d recommend dunking them in some ranch to help take the edge off. The pizzas are to your choosing with toppings, but the thin crust and sauce makes it delicious! If you’re in the Artesia area, it’s worth it to stop in for some traditional pizza grub with an extra Indian kick!

I went to Julio’s for a work dinner and I thought it was just okay. Julio’s serves typical pizza parlor food but with a bit of an Indian twist. This is very appropriate for their location by Little India, and they seem to have many loyal patrons(packed during dinner!). Their space is very large, clean, and nice looking, but I felt that the food was lacking. * GARLICBREAD($ 3.28): Run of the mill garlic bread that comes with marinara to dip in. * MOZZARELLASTICKS($ 6.28): Decidedly average, comes with marinara too. * BUFFALOWINGS($ 8.59): Tastes like frozen Costco hot wings… partially because half of the wings we got were cold. I guess that means they might be frozen Costco hot wings, which don’t taste bad, but not exactly what you want while eating out. We informed the server that the insides were cold, and she graciously switched them out for us. * MASALAWINGS($ 9.86): People raved about these, and I thought they were good, but not great. Definite improvement on the other wings though. * PIZZA(price varies): We got a few large pizzas, and one was topped with Chicken Tikka(+$ 3.28) while the others were normal variants. The Chicken Tikka was nice, but kind of dry. I like thin crust, but it also means the pizza is not very saucy, which might be a negative for some. I liked that they used fresh jalepenos for more kick. * HOTCOOKIE($ 8.59): Pizookie topped with 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream. Obviously I don’t have anything bad to say about that! Overall it was underwhelming. The Indian touches don’t really add anything, so it doesn’t set Julio’s apart from regular pizzerias that can execute their pizza better. It is a good enough place for a family style meal, though. Food: 2, Service: 3, Environment: 4, Price: 3

This was my first time visiting Julio’s and I thought it was good but not great. We ordered a few things since we were starving: — Salad w/both italian and ranch dressing on the side(3.5): This is basic salad but everything was fresh and both dressings were great. — Spicy potato chips(2.5): The chips were nice and warm when they came out but nothing spectacular for the price(I thought the salad was a better value). — Chicken samosas(3.5): These were a little spicy but yummy!(Note: There are veggie samosas with beans and cheese as well that are not on the menu.) — Large pizza with onions and bell peppers(3.5): We all enjoyed the thin crust on the pizza, even my mom who rarely eats pizza in restaurants! The only reason why I’m not giving this pizza four stars is that I thought the pizza could have used a little bit more sauce. Fortunately the restaurant gave us some sauce on the side so my sis and I added sauce as desired. My mom thought the amount of sauce was just right as she doesn’t love a saucy pizza. In general, I liked this pizza and some of the other items on the menu. This is definitely a place worth visiting if you like thin pizza and food with a bit of kick.

If you have not been to Julio’s I would highly recommend you to check this place out! I am extremely happy with their new location. It is bigger than the previous location with a full bar. It is very easy to locate and a good amount of parking space is available. Their food is amazing. Few of my favorites: – Stuffed Mushrooms: OMG! I have had stuffed mushroom at several other locations but by far Julio’s Pizza is my favorite! It is the perfect amount of crispness to it. It can be chewy and little spicy [if you are not used to spicy food] but I feel like that is what makes it better. I can have an entire plate to my myself. Make sure to dip it in ranch or drizzle some ranch on the top — which would make it as the perfect combination of warm & cold, mild & spicy. – Garden Salad: tossed in the ranch. I know it is a pizza place and its odd when I say that their salad is really good. Garlic bread paired with that salad makes it a great combination. – Garlic Bread: ask them to have a warm marinara sauce. Even before you order the garlic bread they will bring you water, bowl of onions. bowl of ranch and a bowl of marinara sauce. But you can request for a warm one with a order of garlic bread. Perfect way to ENJOY the garlic bread: spread their hot marina sauce, top it off with onions, red pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese and drizzle some ranch. – Pizza: I am a fan of their thin crust pizzas. Feel free to play around with the toppings. One large pizza could possible be good for four people including the two appetizers. One star deducted: when you go in groups, they don’t allow to split the bill in more than 2 credit cards.

Wasn’t a fan at first, but after several years of mediocre pizza and not-fitting locations — it improved the taste, and got a good location with a real bar. Pizza is now better, but the wings are probably the best thing there.

Came here for an event. They have a back room for big parties and it was beautiful! The back room was gorgeous… it made you forget that this was a pizza joint. FOOD: The pizza was the square kind and not so good. It was really not so good. The salad was freaking amazing! Yes. The salad was a good mixed greens and good flavors. I was impressed with salad and wanted MORE. SERVICE: Very nice. Very prompt. PARKING: Tons of parking outside in their own lot, but be careful not the park in the hotel part. TVS: Tons of TV to watch the game.

Cardboard pizza, disgusting. Jalapeños tasted expired, ranch was sour, onions did not taste fresh at all. I’m not much of a complainer, I just won’t take my leftovers home. I’ll also make sure I don’t bring my family here again. Also, worst attempt at a Long Island ice tea. This drink tasted like pure Triple Sec. Really hope Julios gets their act together, they were killing it when I tried them out a couple years ago. Service was great though, attentive, very nice lady. Clean restaurant, clean restrooms. Just the food. Cmon guys.

An Indian favorite in Little India(Artesia Blvd). They cater to an Indian palate with thin, crispy pizzas and other appetizers which are not explicitly Indian-flavored, but have a masala flair to them. The appetizers are delicious(especially the stuffed mushrooms and cheese bread). I hear the masala wings are excellent, although I am vegetarian and have not tried them. Also, this new location has a full-bar and many TVs perfect for game days! It’s one of my families favorite places on Artesia. Definitely give it a try! I recommend the pineapple & jalapeño topping pizza. Yummmmm.

Service & the restaurant itself is great, but I was not impressed with the pizza at all. I don’t understand the hype behind this place. Flavors lacked. We started the meal off with garlic bread, which came with Marinara sauce, ranch & onions. The bread was basically white bread with butter & garlic powder. Meh, but the sauce was decent! Next we split a large pizza topped with onion, bell pepper & jalapeños & the taste was like cardboard. The crust was too thin, tasted like store bought dough from a grocery store. The veggies didn’t taste fresh at all & the sauce was tasteless. Some added herbs to the crust, spices to the sauce & fresher tasting veggies would definitely upgrade the flavors.

If you haven’t checked out Julio’s yet — you’re missing out! Their new location is even bigger than the previous place. It’s got a private banquet hall for those looking to host a big party. The bar area — perfect place to grab some pizza and beers and smack talk with your favorite pals on Football Sunday! The food is still just as solid as always and the staff and service are great!
