Essential 21

Warning to prospective clients of this establishment. Beth the owner gave me a 5pm appointment today June 3 ’16. Arrived around 4:45pm. Door sign says open but got a note will be back soon. (No time back indicated). At 5pm called Beth’s number posted on the door. One ring only went to voicemail right away. I didn’t bother to leave a message. Hang around few minutes maybe she’ll show up or maybe I’ll receive a call back due to my miss call (she jotted down my cell phone no. when she gave me appt. No show no call. A complete disregard of prospective customers time and effort. Definitely she doesn’t deserve to be in business. There’s a lot more refutable and professional skin care businesses in the Artesia and Cerritos area but her business is not one of them. STAY AWAY!!!
I would not have given this business not even one star but I was forced to for me to facilitate posting of this review.

A hidden gem tucked away in a small corner plaza lot.
Small, yet cozy.
At the suggestion of a family friend, I made an appointment at Essential 21. As stated, this place is small, but has a cozy feel to it. But, the facials have you leaving here feeling like a million bucks.
Usually after getting a facial, you leave the spa with the post «facial glow» (you know, that pinkish/​red color your face gets after getting acne extractions). But, here there was no post facial glow. Instead, you walk out with an amazing feeling of your face not feeling as if it was beaten and having like every pore on your face was scrubbed clean.
They even teach you how to properly cleanse your face and how to apply skin care products in the proper order. Not to mention, they explain to you the differences between high end skin care products verses your everyday drug store brand; and which items are appropriate for your skin type.
I highly suggest this place.
