I was very unhappy with this rheumatologist. I went to her as a first time client straight after transferring from my pediatric specialist. When I first met her, she seemed like a nice enough lady, but then asked me «what can I do for you?» Rather than having read my medical records ahead of time, she asked me questions and whether I was in pain or not. I explained to her my symptoms and immediately she proceeded to suggest she put me back on a medication that my previous doctor had taken me off of 2 years prior!!. First of all, I just met you. Second of all, how can you make that judgement without having even looked over my records. I was very upset as you might imagine. I then proceed to ask her about birth control because every primary physician I’ve seen won’t prescribe me any because of my medical history. This doctor told me she doesn’t advise on birth control. Who am I expected to ask then? I never returned to her. I also asked her about insurance, again, she didn’t know. She may be knowledge in other areas of rheumatology, but definitely not Lupus. I suggest finding a different doctor. I’m very pleased with my current one in Huntington beach and glad I didn’t stay with this one.
